Pascal Siakam’s stunned live reaction to Bam Adebayo’s 83-point night caught on camera

Bam Adebayo made history Tuesday night. In the Miami Heat’s 150–129 win over the Washington Wizards, Adebayo scored 83 points – making an impression throughout the association. He now owns the second-highest scoring game in NBA history, and as a result, his accomplishment was being celebrated throughout the association.

Later in the night during the Indiana Pacers’ clash against the Sacramento Kings, the Kings’ PA announcer broke the news to the crowd at Golden1 Center that Adebayo had actually recorded 83 points. When Pacers forward Pascal Siakam, who is not on the active roster for tonight, heard the news, he was absolutely shocked Like the rest of the NBA world.

Via Tony East of Forbes Siakam was seen saying, “No way, brother.”

This is in no way a knock on Adebayo’s skill level. But he’s a career-high 16 points per game scorer, averaging nearly 19 points per night this campaign, and he’s only scored more than 40 points once in his career before tonight, which came in 2021 (a 41-point night against the Brooklyn Nets).

This makes him an unlikely player to score 60 or 70, let alone 83 points to surpass Kobe Bryant for the second-highest scoring game in league history. And the Pacers star is sharing the shock everyone felt after Adebayo’s crazy night.

It helped a lot that the Heat faced a team that was deliberately trying to lose to tanking the Wizards. That team is looking to secure a top-eight finish, so they are being very cautious about their key players’ minutes.

Whatever the case, Adebayo still had to make all those buckets and free throws, and that’s exactly what he did. He deserves full credit for his achievement, which will be talked about for years to come, if not eternity.

Toppin looks to return on Thursday against the Hornets. The forward, who played a key role in the Pacers’ Finals run last season, missed all but two games of the season due to a stress fracture in his foot. Barring a sudden setback, Toppin should be suiting up for the Pacers against the Hornets tonight.

Meanwhile, Siakam is unlikely to play against the Hornets. Named an All-Star this season, the Pacers star suffered a wrist injury that kept him from playing against the Philadelphia 76ers two days earlier. Given his “doubtful” tag, it is unlikely that Siakam will suit up for the Pacers.

Siakam has been performing tremendously this season. Despite the Pacers finishing last this season, the forward earned an All-Star nod: a testament to his excellence. Siakam is averaging 23.9 points per game on 48.3% shooting from the field (37.3% from three-point range), and adding 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The forward has been one of the few bright spots for Indiana this season.

As for Toppin, the forward has not played since the Pacers’ second game of the season after suffering a stress fracture. Toppin became a fan favorite in Indiana after playing a key role off the bench in the 2025 postseason. His contributions as a bench sparkplug helped the Pacers finish just one game short of winning the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Tyrese Haliburton responds to Pascal Siakam’s post-All-Star message

Even after finishing bottom of the Eastern Conference a year after the Indiana Pacers reached the NBA Finals, Pascal Siakam received so much love from NBA coaches that he still got the nod to the All-Star Game. Siakam has been a soldier all season for a Pacers team that is simply biding its time, and he got justly rewarded for it.

As the festivities ended, Siakam posted photos and videos on Instagram documenting his experience of making it to the All-Star Game for the fourth time. And the Pacers star certainly enjoyed his experience with Team World, even though they lost both of their games in extremely close fashion.

Siakam got plenty of support in his latest post, including from his Pacers co-star Tyrese Haliburton, whose eventual comeback from a heartbreaking torn Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals is expected to get Indiana back into the title picture.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,” Haliburton wrote in the comments section, highlighting Siakam’s four All-Star appearances.

Haliburton and Siakam have proven that they can step up their games when it matters most for the Pacers, making them ideal players for Indiana to build a competitive team.

Haliburton’s absence may grab most of the headlines, but the Pacers have been so hurt on almost every front that they’ve never had a chance to remain semi-competitive. Obi Toppin has missed a lot of time. So are Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard. Indiana began the season without TJ McConnell. Luck did not favor him this season.

Siakam’s All-Star nod at least helps cover some of the sting of the tough hiatus he’s experiencing. But next season, the Pacers will mean business, especially with the return of Haliburton and Ivica Zubac.
