“Simply a global superstar” – Stunning Arsenal man praised for “fantastic career”

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has been labeled “simply a global superstar” for his career, which has also included a Premier League title at the Emirates.

football news reports comments Today from Belgian icon Johan Boskamp. He is full of praise for the Arsenal forward Het Beland van Limburg.

Key role at Arsenal

Leandro Trossard has again played a key role for Arsenal this season as they secured their first Premier League title in 22 years.

The 31-year-old has been a regular player for Mikel Arteta’s side. He has made 31 appearances in the Premier League and has six goals and six assists. This has seen him perform in 60% of total minutes.

He has also contributed in the Champions League, scoring one goal and four assists in 10 games in the competition as Arsenal reached the final.

The Belgian has enjoyed an unknown role at Arsenal since a €24 million move from Brighton in 2023. Since then, he has scored 36 goals and 33 assists in 17 games for the Gunners.

lack of recognition of belgium

Despite this, he has yet to be recognized in Belgium, where he continues to fly under the radar. And it seems Boskamp wants to change that narrative.

He said, “That goal against West Ham might have won him the title. In Belgium, he’s not always appreciated at his true worth. But that boy has had a fantastic career.”

“And to think that, just ten years ago, he was sometimes sitting on the bench at OH Leuven. If you can help one of the biggest clubs on the planet become champions for the first time in twenty years, you are simply a global superstar.”

The question is whether anyone hears Boskamp moving forward. Or does Trossard need to impress at the World Cup with Belgium this summer before he finally starts to get recognition?

Miami Heat predicted to trade for NBA superstar in 2026 offseason

The Miami Heat are ready to make a big move this offseason. After missing the 2026 NBA Playoffs, the Heat need to find a way back to contention, and a trade for a star player would be an ideal start. In fact, Miami is predicted to get an NBA superstar from the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason.

NBA players believe the Heat will be the favorites if the Bucks trade Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, according to an anonymous player survey by The Athletic’s Sam Amick. More than 23% of voters believe Antetokounmpo will start the 2026-27 NBA season with Miami, with the New York Knicks at about 17% overall.

Of the 151 voters, nearly half of players believe Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee. However, if the 31-year-old star is on the move, the Heat are the top destination on his mind.

How the Miami Heat could trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo

Antetokounmpo’s future will be the biggest story of the 2026 NBA offseason. Milwaukee is aiming for clarity before the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23, meaning Antetokounmpo has a month to decide on his future. In the scenario where Miami lands Antetokounmpo, what needs to happen?

The Bucks would need Antetokounmpo to request a trade with Miami as a destination. If the Heat aren’t part of the NBA superstar’s favorite destinations, the entire business will fall apart. Fortunately, it was previously reported that Antetokounmpo was eyeing Miami and New York.

Pat Riley and the Heat front office are ready to land their next “whale” and he should be ready to leave the farm. No one should be untouchable outside of Bam Adebayo. Miami would have to be willing to include any other players and all of its draft selections in order to trade for Antetokounmpo before the 2026 NBA Draft.

Antetokounmpo is a rare talent, and when a player of his caliber is on the market, a team is mortgaging the future to win now. The Heat are looking to make a massive upgrade, and this partnership seems like the best fit of all the options. After all, the allure of Miami for players remains strong despite missing the playoffs.

The Heat are looking to land a superstar this offseason and Antetokounmpo could be the one to get them back into contention.

Minnesota Wild linked to surprise NHL superstar amid trade rumors

The Minnesota Wild need to improve after the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. After blowing a 3–0 lead in Game 5, the Colorado Avalanche swept Minnesota in five games. This was a disappointing conclusion; However, the Wild should be back on the trade market this summer. In fact, Minnesota has been linked to a surprise NHL superstar.

The Athletic’s Michael Russo and Joe Smith listed Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews as a player Minnesota should trade this summer. Matthews, who was captain of the United States at the Winter Olympics, could be on the move this offseason.

So, what does Minnesota need to see to make Matthews a realistic trade target?

Auston Matthews should request a trade with the Minnesota Wild as a destination

New Toronto general manager John Chayka will have to prove to Matthews that he can build a roster capable of returning to the Stanley Cup playoffs. Like Quinn Hughes, Matthews is also scheduled to become a free agent in two seasons prior to the 2025-26 NHL season. Therefore, the 28-year-old center has a significant advantage.

If the Maple Leafs do not convince Matthews that they can be a competitive team, he can request a trade this summer or during the 2026–27 NHL season. In this scenario, Minnesota would be one of the destinations Matthews is willing to play for moving forward.

Matthews has a no-activity clause in his contract, so he must clear a trade out of Toronto. The NHL superstar has ties to Minnesota, as Hughes, Matt Boldy and Brock Faber all played with them on the Olympic team and during the Four Nations. It would not be surprising if organization was one of their main priorities.

It’s unclear where Minnesota would have the assets to acquire Matthews after trading for Hughes in December 2025. The best scenario for the Wild would be for Matthews to request “Minnesota and only Minnesota” to play with his Olympic teammates. Either way, a trade could be a real possibility this summer.

If Matthews wants out of Toronto, the Wild should call whenever that happens.

Sacramento Kings linked to bizarre trade for superstar

The Sacramento Kings were one of the biggest losers in the NBA Draft Lottery, falling two spots to seventh in the 2026 NBA Draft. Although this ended their hopes of bringing in a new face to the franchise, one executive thinks there may be another path forward for the team.

An unnamed NBA executive told Jake Fisher that he believes there is a long-term scenario where Sacramento could trade Domantas Sabonis to the Philadelphia 76ers for All-Star center Joel Embiid.

RELATED: Sacramento Kings coach’s salary revealed

Philadelphia has already made its first major change of this offseason by firing president of basketball operations Daryl Morey. While coach Nick Nurse is returning, it appears the franchise is looking to make more changes to the roster after another playoff crash.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Embiid comes up in NBA trade rumors this summer. The 32-year-old is now three years removed from winning NBA MVP and hasn’t earned an All-Star selection since 2024. Given his history of poor performance in the playoffs, it is understandable why Philadelphia would want to move on from him.

Would the Kings be interested in a Joel Embiid trade?

nba rumors, sacramento kings, joel embiid
Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagen Images

While the 76ers are certainly willing to trade Embiid, it’s fair to question whether the Sacramento Kings would have any interest in acquiring him. The club is already projected to exceed the 2026-27 luxury tax, meaning an even heavier tax bill for owner Vivek Ranadive to pay for a team that isn’t even close to competing.

Swapping Sabonis for Embiid would mean adding an additional $12.4 million to the Kings payroll next season, with the cost increasing even more due to the luxury tax. It also doesn’t mean Sabonis’ contract expires in 2028 while Embiid will make $69.005 million in the 2028-29 season.

This doesn’t even account for the long-term durability risk Embiid poses. There is a real possibility that Sacramento could acquire the former NBA MVP and have his availability and contributions greatly reduced over the next two seasons. Even just two years into the deal, the Kings may be looking at a version of Embiid who is no longer able to play.

Financially, such a deal would make sense for the 76ers. They will commit less money to their starting center and Sabonis has a shorter contract. However, the All-Star center has his own history of shortcomings in the NBA playoffs and is a huge liability defensively. Overall, any trade seems unlikely as no team is interested in it.

AEW Superstar Will Ospreay says he’s already peaked as a wrestler?

While many wrestling fans think Will Ospreay is the best wrestler on the planet right now, the AEW Superstar believes he has already peaked inside the ring. And this was years ago.

Before becoming a huge household name in the United States with AEW, on the other side of the world, Ospreay developed a reputation as one of the industry’s finest talents during a memorable run in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Winning many of the promotion’s top titles and taking part in classic matches.

Since joining AEW in 2023, the Englishman has maintained the high standard he set in NJPW. In a promotion that has already had a number of legendary matches since its debut in 2019, Ospreay has also cemented his place in All Elite lore with some of his amazing matches over the past three years.

Still, despite being in several five-star matches, he doesn’t think AEW fans have seen the best version of him, and they probably never will. In a new conversation with Forbes, Will Ospreay gave a very interesting opinion about his tenure in NJPW.

“In 2019, I felt like I was the best in the world at the time. I felt like I was at my peak in a weird way. But I believe my peak was probably during the COVID era, which sucks.”

– Will Ospreay

You have to respect Ospreay’s honesty. Rarely do high-level athletes admit that their best days are behind them. Especially at the age of 32. However, after a long career of death-defying moves and double fusion neck surgery last year, it will be difficult for him to recapture that level of athleticism.

However, that doesn’t mean he can’t still be the best wrestler on the planet and have many more legendary fights ahead of him. It just has to be done differently.

Washington Commanders ‘Love’ Superstar NFL Draft Prospect

The 2026 NFL Draft begins next Thursday, April 23. That’s when the Washington Commanders, barring a trade, will use the seventh overall pick in the first round on one of this year’s top talents.

Many draft experts expect commanders to target a prospect at a specific position, such as edge rusher, receiver, or defensive back. However, there are other talented prospects who could also come into play.

According to NFL insider Tony Pauline of Essential Sports, the Commanders also “love” Notre Dame running back prospect Jeremiah Love.

“Multiple people tell me the team would absolutely pounce on Jeremiah Love, which is a direct quote, “The team loves Love.” He would be an additional weapon for Jaden Daniels, who is coming off an injury-plagued season, and would end Washington’s back-by-committee approach. He has the ability to immediately upgrade the offense, but commanders can only grab him if he falls out of the top five.

Tony Pauline on Commanders/Jeremiah Love

A lot of teams are big fans of Love coming into the draft. He is the top ranked player on many draft boards. The problem is that only one team will be able to acquire him and Love may not slide down to seventh, where Washington is slated to be selected.

The Commanders only have six selections in the NFL Draft, meaning they don’t really have the draft capital to move for Love unless Washington is willing to part with players and/or future draft compensation. Love is expected to be a top-five pick, but there are several teams that want him to slide a little further and it looks like Washington is one of them.

Baltimore Ravens urged to trade first-round pick for superstar receiver

The Baltimore Ravens have the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Still, there’s always a possibility that they won’t use the selection. Trades are always possible, and the Ravens could move up or down the draft board.

Or, they could also trade out of the first round.

Recently, Bleacher Report’s Christopher Knox highlighted some potential trade outcomes that could emerge during the draft. In doing so, he suggested that the Ravens could trade the 14th overall pick to the Cowboys in exchange for superstar wide receiver George Pickens, who was coming off a career-high 1,429 receiving yards. Pickens is also entering the final year of his contract, leading some to wonder if Dallas would be open to a blockbuster trade offer.

“Replacing Pickens with a receiver like Kevin Concepcion or Omar Cooper Jr. on a rookie contract would make a lot of financial sense,” Knox wrote. “Snagging Pickens would make sense for a team like the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore could use a legitimate No. 1 receiver, and Pickens would certainly fill that need. He might also get a chance to go up against the Pittsburgh Steelers team that snubbed him a year ago.”

While trading the 14th overall pick would be tough, coming away from the draft with a proven receiver like Pickens would be worth the price. The question is, would the Cowboys really be willing to give up one of their best players?

Some think so, but others believe the Cowboys will not mess up during contract negotiations this time.

Devil’s Superstar Dirty Finish; maple leaf similarities

So, last night was an encouraging win for the New Jersey Devils, right?

This isn’t me saying, “Maybe they’ll make the playoffs!” They won’t.

But, the style of play that New Jersey showed last night – more open ice and a little more loose play – clearly showed that this team has the ability to compete. It will just have to happen next year. And with the right change.

And, of course, it all depends on Jack Hughes. Below is more about him and New Jersey’s impressive win.

Kimi Antonelli is Formula 1’s next superstar

There comes a moment in every young driver’s career when the story around them either comes true or breaks under the weight of expectation. For Andrea Kimi Antonelli, that moment came on Sunday afternoon at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, 56 laps around one of the most demanding circuits on the Formula 1 calendar, in front of a global audience to see if the teenage Mercedes bet on its future could actually deliver results.

He delivered.

Antonelli wins in Shanghai – and makes history by doing so

Antonelli won the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix with a performance that was graceful and intelligent – up to a genuinely terrifying moment with four laps remaining – almost spectacularly undone by a huge lockup at Turn 14 that sent him deep into the runoff. He collected it, maintained the gap and finished 5.5 seconds clear of teammate George Russell to become the second youngest race winner in Formula 1 history.

Only Max Verstappen, who won his first Grand Prix at the age of 18 in Spain in 2016, has achieved the feat at a younger age. Antonelli is 19 years old. He has now started two Formula 1 Grand Prix and finished on the podium in both.

A weekend that was a statement for Kimi Antonelli

The Chinese Grand Prix weekend alone told you everything about where Antonelli stands as a driver at the moment. On Saturday, he became the youngest grand prix polesitter in the history of the sport, breaking Sebastian Vettel’s record from 2008.

When the lights went out on Sunday, he briefly lost the lead to Lewis Hamilton, who launched brilliantly from third on the grid and overtook both Mercedes into Turn 1. What Antonelli did next revealed more about him as a racing driver than the pole position. He didn’t panic. He did not cross the line, overtaking Hamilton. He raced cleanly, finding his way back to the front before the end of the second lap and managed the rest of the afternoon with a composure that drivers twice his age sometimes lack in the heat of the real battle.

That composure is what really separates special drivers from just fast drivers. F1 has no shortage of fast drivers. There are very few who can handle the chaos of a race at the front of the field – tire management, energy deployment decisions, pressure from teammates hunting for clean air – without making the kind of mistake that ends the race. Antonelli made a mistake late, locking up at Turn 14, and he absorbed it. The distance was quite big, the mind was quite calm. He got back on track and completed the job.

Mercedes made the right decision in replacing Hamilton with Antonelli

Mercedes knew what they were doing when they put Antonelli in the seat vacated by Lewis Hamilton after 11 years. The scrutiny that accompanied that decision was enormous, and not entirely unreasonable: Paddock’s choice to replace the most decorated driver in the history of the sport requires a certain kind of vindication before accepting it.

In two races, Antonelli has 19 points, one race win and is the second youngest winner in the record books. Russell leads the drivers’ championship by one point. Both of them are already preparing for what could become one of the most compelling inter-team rivalries this sport has seen in years, and the season is barely two weekends old.

For those fans in the United States who are new to F1 and still building their mental map of who matters in this sport, you need to understand this: Antonelli is going to be one of the defining figures of this era.

The regulation reset that 2026 brought with it created a level playing field that doesn’t come around often, and Antonelli is thriving on it in a way that shows this is not a hot start that cools off once it takes hold. When he crossed the finish line in Shanghai and came on the radio, he said he was about to cry. He thanked his team. He said he promised himself he would bring Italy back to the top tier and, for the record, he is the first Italian race winner since Giancarlo Fisichella in 2006.

He is just 19 years old and meant every word. Pay attention to this child.

Cedric Coward given Superstar Challenge to end All-Rookie season

Tuomas Isalo, who is one game back from a knee injury, explains why Cedric Coward’s education is entering its most demanding semester yet. Beale Street’s busted Memphis Grizzlies have been through more than 60 games in a relatively disappointing year, yet the ordeal for their NBA All-Rookie candidate is far from over. However, forget about hitting any proverbial walls for a first-timer; There are a dozen All-Stars who need cover to finish the season.

Over the next six weeks the Measuring Sticks earned their single-name reputation. Giannis, KD, Kawhi, Cade and Jokic are all that stands between the Grizzlies (23-37) and the recovery phase of the offseason. James Harden, Jalen Brunson and CJ McCollum will be chasing the win until the end. That trio can make a fool of absolutely anyone, but the coward is expected to answer the call.

“(Coward) is going to be tasked with some very tough matches,” Isalo admitted. “(Against the Minnesota Timberwolves), he had assets guarding them from (Anthony Edwards) to (Julius Randle). He can definitely get better at the point of attack. Every young man in his rotation can be better.”

The 22-year-old played 21 minutes off the bench in his return after a seven-match absence. He scored 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. By pitting Coward against the league’s elite, the Grizzlies hope to accelerate his development and build the consistency needed to compete at the highest level.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (5) dribbles the ball past Memphis Grizzlies forward Cedric Coward (23) during the second half at Target Center.
jesse johnson-imagen images

Edwards was nearly unstoppable for Minnesota, adding five steals in his 41-point outburst. Randle’s double-double and Jaden McDaniel’s efficient 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting rounded out the Timberwolves’ balanced effort. For Coward, the night served as both a challenge and a preview. The remainder of the gauntlet figures to shape the final chapter of a promising All-Rookie caliber season.

Isalo made it clear that he is counting on that experience to make an impression. The Grizzlies also hope the young core will play up to the standard, building a culture and product that everyone can be proud of. That’s the only way to be on the other side of the NBA playoff line.

“It’s just letting the guys in the locker room know that I hope we don’t take the opportunities to play against teams of this level for granted,” Isalo shared. “This is the level that every one of our players and our team is trying to get to, and you only get there by experiencing it, understanding that this is a tough, experienced team that we have stepped up to, but we have to be consistent for 48 minutes.”

Through 48 games, Coward is averaging 13.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 46.8% from the field and 34.0% from 3-point range. The Washington State alumnus’s numbers per 40 minutes have increased to 20.7 points and 9.4 rebounds, with a true shooting percentage of 58.1%, which shows that this production can increase efficiently.

There’s no better time for the Grizzlies to find out than the next six weeks. Given Cedric Coward’s competitive nature, bringing him back into action was never an option. However, that fire is there when they throw it at the superstars and see what happens. If he can continue to be a two-way defensive force capable of consistently dropping 20 and 10, Memphis will have at least one silver lining worth its weight in gold in the summer.

Connor Bedard’s Insane Shooting Skills: Future NHL Superstar? 😱‼️

Connor Bedard’s Insane Shooting Skills: Future NHL Superstar? 😱‼️

While cricket often dominates the sports headlines in India, a new global phenomenon is emerging in the world of Ice Hockey. His name is Connor Bedard. If you haven’t heard of him yet, imagine a hybrid of Virat Kohli’s precision and Neeraj Chopra’s explosive power, but on skates. At just 19 years old, Bedard is being hailed as the “Next One,” and his shooting skills are nothing short of supernatural.

The Anatomy of an “Insane” Shot

What makes Connor Bedard’s shot so special? It’s not just the speed—which is terrifying—it’s the release point. In professional hockey, defenders and goalies track the puck based on the shooter’s body language. Bedard has mastered the “drag-and-snap” technique. He pulls the puck closer to his feet before firing, changing the angle of the shot at the very last millisecond.

For Indian fans familiar with the “wristy” flick of a world-class batsman, Bedard’s wrist shot is the hockey equivalent. It is quick, deceptive, and incredibly powerful. Goalies often find themselves looking at the back of the net before they’ve even finished their save motion.

Why the Hype is Real

Connor Bedard was the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Coming into the league as a teenager, he faced massive expectations. He didn’t just meet them; he shattered them. His ability to score from almost anywhere in the offensive zone has drawn comparisons to legends like Connor McDavid and Alexander Ovechkin.

His shooting mechanics involve a unique use of high-flex sticks, allowing him to put immense pressure on the shaft to generate “whip.” This technical prowess, combined with a hockey IQ that allows him to find open spaces, makes him a generational talent.

The Global Impact: Why Indians Should Watch

You might wonder why a fan in Delhi or Mumbai should care about a kid playing on ice in North America. The answer is simple: Greatness knows no borders. Following Bedard is like watching the early years of Sachin Tendulkar. You are witnessing the blueprint of a future Hall of Famer. Moreover, Ice Hockey is growing in India, particularly in the Ladakh region, and Bedard’s technique offers a masterclass for any aspiring athlete in the country.

Conclusion

Is Connor Bedard a future NHL superstar? The question is no longer “if” but “how high” his ceiling actually is. With shooting skills that defy logic and a work ethic that matches his talent, Bedard is transforming the game of hockey. He isn’t just a player; he is an era-defining athlete. For sports enthusiasts in India looking for their next international obsession, Connor Bedard is your man. Keep your eyes on the ice—this journey is just beginning! 🏒🔥

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Who is Connor Bedard?

Connor Bedard is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL. He is considered one of the greatest hockey prospects of his generation.

2. What is special about his shooting style?

His most famous technique is the “changing the angle” shot. He uses his wrists to pull the puck inward before shooting, making it impossible for goalkeepers to predict the puck’s trajectory.

3. Can Indians play Ice Hockey too?

Absolutely! India has a national Ice Hockey team. The sport is highly popular in regions like Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, where natural ice rinks form in winter.

4. How fast does Connor Bedard shoot?

His wrist shots have been clocked at over 120-130 km/h, which is incredibly fast given the short distance and minimal wind-up required.

5. Where can I watch NHL games in India?

NHL games and highlights are often available in India via streaming platforms like FanCode or through the official NHL YouTube channel and social media handles.

Connor Bedard Best Goals and Skills: Future NHL Superstar 😮‍💨

Connor Bedard Best Goals and Skills: The Rise of a Future NHL Superstar

While cricket often dominates the sports landscape in India, a new wave of global sports icons is capturing the attention of Indian Gen-Z and sports enthusiasts. Enter Connor Bedard, the 18-year-old sensation who is being hailed as the “Next One” in the National Hockey League (NHL). From his jaw-dropping goals to his supernatural puck-handling skills, Bedard is redefining what is possible on the ice.

In this article, we dive deep into the Connor Bedard best goals and skills that make him the most exciting prospect since Connor McDavid, and why hockey fans from Mumbai to Montreal are buzzing about this teenager.

The Signature Shot: A Release Like No Other

If there is one thing that defines Bedard’s game, it is his wicked release. Unlike traditional players who need a long wind-up, Bedard can snap the puck into the top corner of the net in the blink of an eye. His ability to change the angle of his blade just before shooting makes it impossible for even the world’s best goaltenders to predict where the puck is going.

Watching a highlight reel of Connor Bedard’s best goals often feels like watching a video game. He utilizes a “toe-drag release” that has become his trademark, allowing him to pull the puck closer to his body to avoid defenders before firing a laser-accurate shot.

Elite Skating and Puck Handling Skills

Hockey is a game of speed, and Bedard operates at a different gear. However, it’s not just raw speed; it’s his edgework. He can turn on a dime, leaving elite defenders frozen in their tracks. His puck-handling skills—often referred to as “silky mitts” in hockey slang—allow him to navigate through traffic with ease.

For Indian fans who appreciate the finesse of field hockey, seeing Bedard control a small vulcanized rubber puck at 40 km/h is a sight to behold. His vision allows him to see plays two steps before they happen, making him an elite playmaker as well as a goal-scorer.

Why Connor Bedard is a Global Phenomenon

The hype surrounding Bedard isn’t just North American. With the growth of digital streaming and social media in India, highlights of his future NHL superstar performances are going viral on Instagram and YouTube. He represents a new era of hockey—one defined by skill, highlight-reel creativity, and immense pressure handled with grace.

Drafted 1st overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2023, Bedard has lived up to every bit of the marketing. Whether it’s his spectacular solo efforts or his clutch overtime winners, he is the face of the NHL’s new generation.

Conclusion

Connor Bedard is more than just a lucky talent; he is a product of relentless practice and a generational hockey IQ. His combination of a lethal shot and elite skating has already secured his spot as a household name among global sports fans. As he continues to break records and embarrass defenders, one thing is certain: we are witnessing the birth of a legend. For any sports lover in India looking to follow a new icon, Connor Bedard is the name to watch.
