“I remember meeting him for the first time before I started my NBA season. One thing he said was, ‘Look, you’re European, they’re going to come after you.’ You know, he was right,” Doncic told Yahoo! Shared in a report. Sports’ Bruno Felix.

The Lakers improved to 43–25 and moved into third place in the Western Conference, surpassing the Rockets.

David Edelman highlights Jamal Murray’s surreal night vs. Jazz

The Denver Nuggets had quite a scare against the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center on Monday. Luckily, Jamal Murray put on his superhero hat and led them to a hard-earned 128-125 win.

The Nuggets snapped their two-game skid and improved to 38–24, including 22–12 on the road.

Murray looked like a secret member of The Avengers, scoring 45 points on 13-of-19 shooting, including 8 of 13 from beyond the arc. He also had two rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

his brilliant performance was not lost On Nuggets coach David Edelman, as shown in video posted by AltitudeTV.

“Jamal was really special. I mean, 45 points on 19 shots,” Edelman said.

This was not the first time Edelman had praised Murray. When the prolific guard dropped a season-high 52 points in December, Edelman was adamant that Murray was “above average,” underscoring the fact that he is largely underappreciated by fans.

The 29-year-old Murray has had a stellar campaign, including earning his first nod to the All-Star Game. His pairing with Nikola Jokic remains one of the most lethal in the NBA, and the Nuggets will go as far as this pairing will take them.

Meanwhile, Edelman praised his players for maintaining composure despite a tough challenge from the Jazz, who lost 18–43.

“I don’t know, I think people judge wins these days. I don’t. Wins are wins. Losses are losses. We would have beaten OKC (Thunder) if (Alex) Caruso missed that three, we lost tonight, what’s the difference? We’re just trying to win, get ourselves to a good place. I’m proud of the guys for sticking with it. There was no nervousness,” Edelman said.

The Nuggets return to action on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Entering Wednesday’s matchup with a long list of injuries, head coach Mark Daigneault and the Oklahoma City Thunder struggled, led by backup center Jaylin Williams, in an effort to upset the Detroit Pistons. Daigneault and the shorthanded Thunder faced the Pistons without four starters. Daigneault said, “He was unreal tonight. Great toughness and obviously great attack – I think this will be the highest level of his career.” “We helped him against a team that really presses, like we’ve had to do recently. He was a big help for us again tonight.”

The Thunder’s Aaron Wiggins, who started for All-Star Chet Holmgren alongside Jaylin Williams, finished with 20 points, six assists and four rebounds. Cason Wallace added 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting, including 3-for-6 from deep, and five assists.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault praised his team for beating good teams without key scorers like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. The Thunder prevailed without three of their top four scorers in a 116-107 win against the Raptors on Wednesday, which left a lasting impression on Daigneault.

“It’s very hard to win games when you get a lead like that and they come back and tie the game,” Daigneault said. “Even the Cleveland game over the weekend was like that; we got out to an early lead. They came completely back in the game. They took the lead. It takes a lot of mental toughness to get yourself going on the next possession.

“Cason was great all night, but he was huge in that period. He had four points in a row. And then, Isaiah got it. So, he scored seven points right after the tie that got the game going again. But the team showed great mental toughness.”

The Thunder will host the Nuggets on Friday at Paycom Center.
