Taj Bradley has been the real hero for the Minnesota Twins this season. His upside has been one of the best parts of the Twins’ 2026 campaign, posting a 2.87 ERA in 47 innings. This year his fastball run value has increased from the 20th percentile (2025) to the 94th.

This is what makes the news of Bradley being sent to the injured list more worrying. The Twins have been troubled by injuries to their rotation recently. Bradley was one of the few remaining steady presences on the roster for Minnesota. This is now a matter of confusion, as Bradley’s right pec is swollen.

Bradley’s breakout has been amazing to watch, although it does seem a bit on the lucky side. His xERA (3.88) is a whole lot higher than his actual ERA. This suggests he may be getting some help from the baseball gods, although Bradley’s xERA is also better than any mark he put up in his previous MLB season.

Bradley reported pain to the Twins staff shortly after his most recent start against the Washington Nationals. He was flown back to Minnesota and had an MRI. In the same move, Bradley’s spot on the roster was replaced by righty Travis Adams. Adams has not scored a run in his last two matches, but before that he was tagged for six runs. He could potentially be used as a bulk relief or swingman role for the club.

They are treating this run as their last before retirement, and this Friday on SmackDown, they will challenge Nia Jax and Lash Legend for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Nikki talked about the reality of how female performers are typically sent off in WWE, admitting that she and Brie are unlikely to get the kind of farewell tour that John Cena and AJ Styles received.

“For me, I don’t think you and I will ever get that final retirement moment that John got and AJ Styles got,” Nikki said. “Let’s be honest, men get it, right? I don’t think you and I will ever get that, but I would love to get that. Because I know the contract we signed, we signed a two-year deal starting at the Royal Rumble.

“And as for you and me, the conversation we’ve had and what I know about where I’m at, that’s it. That’s the end for me and for us.”

Despite that uncertainty, Nikki made it clear that she wants this race to be defined by quality and memorable moments rather than simply going through the motions.

“I want to have some of my best matches. I want to have a lot of fun,” she said. “But I want to have like an iconic moment where when it happens, I can look back and say, ‘Hey, those were a great two years.’ We did it. I don’t want to go away with any ‘ifs and buts’. I want to look back at these last two years that we’ve been building and be like, ‘Hey, girl. We did it.”

Winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles tops the Bellas’ list of accomplishments before she leaves. Both are already WWE Hall of Famers, but the tag titles represent one of the few remaining milestones they have yet to check off.

“It’s like the last thing,” Nikki said. “So when I’m 60, 70, 80, hopefully 90, sitting on the porch with Brie, tasting wine, making wine, we’ll be like, ‘Girl, we did that.’ We evolved. We did this. Tag Team Champion. Like, this is how my brain works, this is how achievements are. But the danger, doing this as mothers. Nothing is better.”
