newcastle united Star Nick Voltemed has insisted he is unhappy with his first year at the club but is not worried about succeeding because of it.
Striker is talking to the stern, Fussball relayed by transferAbout his first season in the North East and the disappointments surrounding it.
Newcastle United's disappointment
The striker joined Newcastle United in a €75m deal as a last-minute replacement for Alexander Isak. He arrived at St. James's Park from Germany with a growing reputation. Bayern Munich were also keen on him, and were only raising expectations.
And he lived up to that reputation from the start, scoring four goals in his first five Premier League games, adding three more goals and an assist before the end of the year.
He then went 17 league games without scoring a goal, however, he broke this spell in a 3–1 win over West Ham United a month earlier.
Due to this, questions are being raised about his future in the club. This is especially the case when Eddie Howe tried to convert him into a holding midfielder over the past few months as goals had dwindled.
not leaving newcastle

Voltamede now admits that he is unhappy with his first campaign in Black and White, but that doesn't mean he has given up just yet.
"I'm expected to score or provide an assist every game. But if I'm not playing in attack, it's more difficult for me to get into dangerous scoring positions." He said.
“Obviously, I'm not happy with the way things have gone over the last few months. Especially since I had a very strong start at Newcastle. It raised expectations, including my own.
"I moved to the Premier League at the age of 23, which is the best league in the world. I've learned a lot this season. I've improved athletically, I can keep up with tremendous pace. I can handle myself in challenges. Overall, it's a step up. So I have no doubts about Newcastle. I'll make my mark there."
