bournemouth Bologna are pushing for a deal by July 15 for defender Jhon Lucumith A date to keep in mind.
Il Resto del Carlino Report Bournemouth are keen on the 27-year-old as they look for a replacement for Marcos Senesi.
Bournemouth are pressing for a deal
Sport Witness covered a report on Friday That being said, Bournemouth could be in the mix for the central defender, who is also a target for Juventus.
Il Resto del Carlino is more vocal, saying the Cherries are 'putting pressure on the centre-back to land' this summer.
They say Bournemouth want John Lucumi as a replacement for Marcos Senesi, who has left to join Tottenham on a free transfer.
According to information from the newspaper, Lukumi is at the top of their wish list and they are even ready to offer him a generous multi-year contract.
Lucumi's current deal value has a release clause at €28m, but it only lasts until July 15th.
€20m deal on offer
Bologna are willing to negotiate on that front as long as the deal remains around €20m. They are in a precarious position as his deal expires next summer, but they want to use their appearance at the World Cup to drum up interest.
Juventus are in the background but they will be delayed by their changes at CEO level. They will have to wait for peace and the arrival of their new CEO before taking the transfer step.
So this provides Bournemouth a window to get their man. It remains to be seen whether they will be willing to pay €20m for John Lukumi this summer.
At first glance, this isn't a bad deal for a defender who has impressed over several seasons in Italy and is now at his peak. But the Cherries may feel they can negotiate a better arrangement given the expiring contract and Bologna's obvious concerns on that front.
