The West Ham star has revealed that he is taking part in the tournament as much as possible while being part of the Dutch camp. One side on which he is keeping a close eye is Brazil.
Meeting him at some point would mean a reunion with former Leeds United teammate Raphinha. But it would also mean a chance to meet Neymar, the player he grew up idolizing.
"I like watching football, seeing how everyone plays and finding new strategies," he said. “The good thing is that we do it together, as a team.”

Brazil holds extra importance for the 24-year-old. In addition to the quality in Carlo Ancelotti's squad, the prospect of sharing the pitch with Neymar will be a special moment for a player who spent his childhood studying the forward's skills.
“Even at that time, I was already watching clips of them on YouTube,” Somerville says.
For the West Ham star, the chance to test himself against his idol will be too tempting. It is exactly the kind of scenario he once imagined while playing in the streets and playgrounds of Rotterdam.
He said, "It would really be a childhood dream to play against him; he is my idol."
"And yes, then I also meet Raphinha. No, he hasn't called me yet after my goal against Japan."
For now, the focus for Crescencio Somerville and the Netherlands should be on progressing from the group stage.
The West Ham winger has already made his mark with his goal in the 2-2 draw against Japan and will be hoping to cement himself in Ronald Koeman's plans going forward.
He certainly has enough inspiration, Brazil appears to be on his eye line as he eyes a reunion and confrontation with his childhood idol.
