crystal Palace are preparing themselves to sign SC Freiburg's Cyriac Irie this summer.
The winger joined the Bundesliga side from ES Troyes AC in July 2025 and did not enjoy his first season in Germany.
He struggled with illness and fitness in the first half of the season and had to settle for a limited role in the second half. The 20-year-old failed to score or assist in 410 minutes in 15 matches.
However, this has not stopped Crystal Palace and some other clubs from considering signing him.

Africa Foot says several clubs have approached, without specifying whether the Eagles are one of them. RC Lens, Marseille, OGC Nice and Lille are also keen on the player.
Marseille have asked about his position in recent weeks after talks made no progress.
After contacting SC Freiburg to find out the conditions necessary to execute the transfer, so far, Lens remains the most solid option.
If the circumstances become favorable then the English club can join the race to contract Irie. There is no mention in the report of what those conditions would be.
The final status of Freiburg is not yet clear. Africa Foot believe the German club may not be in favor of a sale but may consider a loan move. The temporary move would allow Crystal Palace or other clubs to sign Irie on favorable terms.
Rishi could be behind Crystal Palace's interest
The most solid option is RC Lens, which saw his manager Pierre Sage leave him for the London club earlier this month.
It is very possible that Crystal Palace's new manager is leading the search for the winger.
