Pedro Porro has been first choice Tottenham Hotspur Since joining them from Sporting in January 2023.
The Premier League side initially paid €5m as a loan fee and made his stay permanent later that year for €45m.
Tottenham completed his signing on 31 January 2023, after negotiating for the majority of that window.
The North London club had to overcome challenges posed by Sporting to secure the right-back's signature.
Agent gives details about Tottenham move
As Spoke to Pedro Porro's agent Tony Pla, who has been managing him for 11 years.
The interview was to review the Spain international's career so far. Pla talked about how his client burst onto the scene at Sporting and had several clubs interested.
Tottenham Hotspur were successful in the end. The agent said the 26-year-old had become frustrated after lengthy negotiations between Spurs and the Portuguese club.
"The negotiations with Sporting were incredibly difficult. Pedro always keeps everything to himself; you couldn't tell if he was calm or worried," He said.
AS reported that talks between Tottenham and Sporting lasted for more than a month. The agent now gives an insight into what happened on the day the two clubs finally agreed terms.
"We were having dinner and he started feeling unwell. He asked his father to follow him to the bathroom and almost fainted in his arms... He released all his tension. Pedro didn't say anything while we were talking, but he couldn't take it anymore." PLA explained.
Poro will play an important role in Tottenham
The Spaniard has played under several coaches at Spurs and still maintains his place in the starting lineup.
Last week, Sports Witness Covered claims from Spain Roberto De Zerbi pressed for his contract extension.
Four days ago, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that Pedro Porro had signed a new long-term contract.
He played 3,923 minutes in 47 matches this season and scored two goals and seven assists.
