liverpoolStefan Bajctic has struggled with injuries since 2022 and spent most of last season on the sidelines.
The Reds initially signed the midfielder for their academy in 2020 and promoted him to the first team in 2022.
In 2022, he suffered a back injury and was out of the field for 159 days. In September 2023, the Liverpool player suffered a calf injury, which kept him sidelined for 193 days.
The Premier League side then sent him out on loan to Red Bull Hamburg in August 2024, but the 21-year-old struggled in Austria.
Liverpool cut his stay short in January 2025, only to approve another loan offer to UD Las Palmas. Bajetic played 14 matches for the Spanish club but there were still problems.
In May 2025, he had surgery for a hamstring problem and did not play for the Merseyside club last season. The player recently posted a photo of himself training, while the UK press claim he is aiming to start pre-season with Andoni Ireola's team.
The Liverpool man has options in Spain
Stefan Bazcetic is on today's front page Sports stadium Because his aim is to return to Spain.
He is not short of options in La Liga, with Sevilla FC, Rayo Vallecano and Elche CF among his suitors.
Behind the scenes, the Spaniard is in talks with Liverpool over an exit this summer.
The Andalusian club view the defensive midfielder as a low-cost option, while the report makes no mention of his price.
Another report by journalist Angel Garcia, relayed by Sports stadiumclaims the Reds have the man on Sevilla sporting director Jose Ignacio Navarro's target list.
The Spaniard has an 'expressed desire' to return to his country, where he could also join Rayo Vallecano or Elche.
Our opinion: Liverpool could approve sale
Stefan Bajetic has less than a year left on his contract and is now worth €4m transfer market.
Renovation appears impossible at this stage. This summer will be Liverpool's last chance to earn a good fee to avoid losing him for free in 2027.
Sevilla FC, Rayo Vallecano and Elche CF can take advantage of this to sign the player cheaply.
A permanent exit would be beneficial for both Bjetich and Andoni Ierola.
