This is a big win in the standings for the Thunder, who are still trying to avoid the Spurs for the top seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. With the Pistons struggling a bit at the top of the Eastern Conference, the top seed in the West will likely mean home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

According to ESPN’s NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, even if Crosby is committed to the Raiders, a trade is still possible, potentially closer to the 2026 NFL Draft.
Everyone feels like they’re in a good position, Fowler said, but since they’ve already taken care of the business, they’re open to that possibility, potentially, if the right offer comes along. “We’re looking at the timelines here; it’s going to be a little slower now, but you’ll get closer to the draft, maybe trade offers heat up, or maybe even closer to the season. But right now, he’s a Raider, and that’s expected to be the case at least for a while.”
Even after a failed physical, the Raiders should be able to get at least a first-round pick in exchange for Crosby. “It was probably the first time in my career [hearing] Rumors and things like that,” Johnson said. “But I got assurances from everyone here that that’s not the plan. Obviously, it means a lot… his trust in me and his belief in me.”
It seems like the Hawks did the right thing by retaining Johnson, and he’s set to be a cornerstone of the franchise for years to come. This season, Johnson averaged 23.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists, and was an All-Star for the first time. It would not be a surprise if at the end of the season, he is on the All-NBA team, which would be a huge accomplishment for him.
Johnson and the Hawks still have a lot of work to accomplish as they continue to try to top the Eastern Conference during the season.

It appeared that the Nuggets had the game wrapped up by the end of regulation, but Lakers guard Austin Reaves engineered a perfectly executed missed free throw, which he then rebounded and scored to tie the game.
After the game, Nuggets head coach David Edelman explained what happened in the game.
“It’s one of those things that’s 100 in the NBA,” Edelman said, according to Bennett Durando of the Denver Post, formerly of Twitter. “It happened. You give them credit. But there were a lot of things that led to it that we could have done differently, maybe better.”
Some criticized the Nuggets for not placing a fourth player in the lane to join in the rebounding action for Reaves’ second free throw, which went straight to an empty area of the paint, where another Denver player could have been deployed had they so chosen.
A loss to Los Angeles would likely erase the good vibes from Denver’s recent solid win over the San Antonio Spurs, even without Victor Wembanyama.
It was a particularly brutal game for shooting guard Jamal Murray, who scored only five points and was shut out of the contest, a full 180 points from his usual dominance against the Lakers in recent years.
The Nuggets are currently 41-27, and are just a game and a half away from the Phoenix Suns to avoid the play-in tournament in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets now have a few days off before they next face off at home against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday evening.

After the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick attempted to expand his vocabulary to explain how the Lakers are coming together at the right time.
“Is ‘coalesces’ a word? Is it the right word? To come together?”. Redick asked, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “I think it feels like we’re coming together pretty well right now. There’s still a long way to go, but definitely optimistic about how we’ve handled this run of games. … It’s big time.”
The Lakers are currently on a five-game winning streak, and have suffered losses to some tough competition, including both the Nuggets and New York Knicks last week. The questions about the Lakers’ defense are beginning to subside, as Los Angeles has played some better basketball on that end of the floor amid its winning streak.
Los Angeles currently sits in third place in the Western Conference, the same spot where they finished the regular season a year ago, and as the NBA Playoffs approach, the team certainly looks to be playing its best basketball at the right time.
It also helps that Los Angeles remains mostly healthy, as Reeves, Doncic and LeBron James are getting a chance to consistently share the floor for the first time all season.
Los Angeles will take the field for the first of two road games versus the Houston Rockets on Monday evening.

The Cardinals agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.5 million contract with wide receiver/return specialist Devin DuVernay on Sunday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. An All-Pro as a returner, DuVernay has bounced back the past few seasons, but he spent 20–25 with the Bears, where he caught two of his five targets for 26 yards and one down. He was much more impressive as a returner.
DuVernay returned 21 punts for 231 yards. As a kick returner, DuVernay returned 40 opportunities for a new career-high 1,069 yards in 2025. His 26.7 yards per kick return average ranked 11th in the NFL, and he was fifth in kick return yards.
Now 28, the two-time Pro Bowler doesn’t have an All-Pro or Pro Bowl season until 2022. Nevertheless, he is clearly still a big factor in the return game, and he will look to continue that success in Arizona next season.
After being drafted as the 92nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, DuVernay spent the first four seasons of his career with the Ravens. He plays for the Jaguars in 2024, the Bears in 2025, and then the Cardinals.

With a strong and young offense, it will be exciting to watch games in St. Louis without the pressure of hoping for a playoff berth. They will get useful outings from these five, which will give the club a good chance of winning most of the games.

Perhaps most importantly, Minnesota is two games ahead of the seventh-seeded Phoenix Suns.
Edwards is having another standout season, averaging a career-high 29.7 points while posting career-best shooting percentages of 49.4% overall and 40.2% from 3-point range. So, when the question comes whether Anthony Edwards is playing against the Thunder today, the answer is probably yes.

After the game, the kid got a shoutout from none other than LeBron James himself.
“It was a great atmosphere. … That little kid on the Jumbotron was definitely — I saw there — I think he’s the reason we won tonight,” James, formerly of the Ax, said, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin on Twitter.
The young fan wasn’t the only one thrilled by what he saw Saturday, as Los Angeles picked up its fifth consecutive win against a quality opponent in Denver.
The Lakers’ defense, which has been seen as a reason for the team not being taken seriously as a contender this year, has started to play some better basketball over the past few weeks, with JJ Redick’s strategy appearing to be to get LeBron James off the ball as much as possible so he doesn’t have to expend so much energy on the 41-year-old.

Doncic has never been afraid to take the big shot, and more often than not, he nails it. James knows what his guy is capable of and probably doesn’t mind giving him one last shot at the end of every game.
With the win, the Lakers have the tiebreaker over the Nuggets, which is big as the Western Conference standings continue to tighten toward the end of the season.

There comes a moment in every young driver’s career when the story around them either comes true or breaks under the weight of expectation. For Andrea Kimi Antonelli, that moment came on Sunday afternoon at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, 56 laps around one of the most demanding circuits on the Formula 1 calendar, in front of a global audience to see if the teenage Mercedes bet on its future could actually deliver results.
He delivered.
Antonelli won the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix with a performance that was graceful and intelligent – up to a genuinely terrifying moment with four laps remaining – almost spectacularly undone by a huge lockup at Turn 14 that sent him deep into the runoff. He collected it, maintained the gap and finished 5.5 seconds clear of teammate George Russell to become the second youngest race winner in Formula 1 history.
Only Max Verstappen, who won his first Grand Prix at the age of 18 in Spain in 2016, has achieved the feat at a younger age. Antonelli is 19 years old. He has now started two Formula 1 Grand Prix and finished on the podium in both.
The Chinese Grand Prix weekend alone told you everything about where Antonelli stands as a driver at the moment. On Saturday, he became the youngest grand prix polesitter in the history of the sport, breaking Sebastian Vettel’s record from 2008.
When the lights went out on Sunday, he briefly lost the lead to Lewis Hamilton, who launched brilliantly from third on the grid and overtook both Mercedes into Turn 1. What Antonelli did next revealed more about him as a racing driver than the pole position. He didn’t panic. He did not cross the line, overtaking Hamilton. He raced cleanly, finding his way back to the front before the end of the second lap and managed the rest of the afternoon with a composure that drivers twice his age sometimes lack in the heat of the real battle.
That composure is what really separates special drivers from just fast drivers. F1 has no shortage of fast drivers. There are very few who can handle the chaos of a race at the front of the field – tire management, energy deployment decisions, pressure from teammates hunting for clean air – without making the kind of mistake that ends the race. Antonelli made a mistake late, locking up at Turn 14, and he absorbed it. The distance was quite big, the mind was quite calm. He got back on track and completed the job.
Mercedes knew what they were doing when they put Antonelli in the seat vacated by Lewis Hamilton after 11 years. The scrutiny that accompanied that decision was enormous, and not entirely unreasonable: Paddock’s choice to replace the most decorated driver in the history of the sport requires a certain kind of vindication before accepting it.
In two races, Antonelli has 19 points, one race win and is the second youngest winner in the record books. Russell leads the drivers’ championship by one point. Both of them are already preparing for what could become one of the most compelling inter-team rivalries this sport has seen in years, and the season is barely two weekends old.
For those fans in the United States who are new to F1 and still building their mental map of who matters in this sport, you need to understand this: Antonelli is going to be one of the defining figures of this era.
The regulation reset that 2026 brought with it created a level playing field that doesn’t come around often, and Antonelli is thriving on it in a way that shows this is not a hot start that cools off once it takes hold. When he crossed the finish line in Shanghai and came on the radio, he said he was about to cry. He thanked his team. He said he promised himself he would bring Italy back to the top tier and, for the record, he is the first Italian race winner since Giancarlo Fisichella in 2006.
