According to the newspaper, this follows ‘further lengthy negotiations’ with Gruda during the week. He made it clear that he is comfortable at the German club. After this the Bundesliga side decided not to bid him farewell.

Now talks with Brighton are ‘expected to intensify’ after the end of the season. The development offers a ‘ray of hope’ that Gruda can continue playing at RB Leipzig in the future.

But there is still a long way to go to do so. According to BILD, Brighton are demanding a transfer fee of €30m for the 21-year-old.

Another loan deal may be a possibility, perhaps with an option or obligation to buy. The latter would suit Brighton perfectly. The next few weeks will be decisive in working on this.

One thing is for sure, Gruda is keen to stay in Leipzig. They are also keen to keep him with them. Coach Ole Werner made that clear this week.

“He was and still is an absolute asset to us. It’s been a win-win situation,” he said.

“What happens in the summer, we’ll see. But the fact that we all really enjoy working with him here, that he also enjoys being here, and that we play a style of football in which he can help us and in which he can develop further, is a good foundation.”

Now with his departure cancelled, there is clear belief that Leipzig will try to make a comeback. The deal has come alive again in a span of 24 hours.

Despite the NBA canceling the Magic City promotion, the crowd came to life for TI’s halftime performance during the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic game.

While some NBA fans were in a somber mood after the NBA decided to cancel the Magic City promotion, the ATL icon’s performance made them forget – even if only for a few minutes. TI performed his latest single, “Let ‘Em Know”, which came out in January, which got the crowd standing, dancing and rapping along to the lyrics.

The Hawks’ primary owner, Jami Gertz, has ties to the Magic City as he was the producer of a five-part documentary that honored the club’s legacy, and how it influenced hip-hop, Black culture, and the city of Atlanta.

“After the work we did to create ‘Magic City: An American Fantasy,’ this collaboration and theme night is very meaningful to me,” Gertz said when the promotion was announced. “The iconic Atlanta institution has had such an incredible impact on our city and its unique culture.”

Some NBA fans were very happy with the infamous strip club’s partnership with the Hawks as they are both prominent parts of the culture. While some fans were excited for the collaboration, which would have started with last night’s game, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver shut down the promotion.

“When we learned of the Atlanta Hawks’ scheduled promotion, we reached out to Hawks leadership to better understand their plans and reasoning,” Silver said in a statement. “While we appreciate the team’s vision and their desire to move forward, we have heard significant concerns from a wide range of league stakeholders, including fans, partners and employees. I believe canceling this promotion is the right decision for the broader NBA community.”

While some Hawks fans were disappointed, the franchise respected the NBA’s decision.

“Although we are deeply disappointed by the NBA’s decision to cancel our Magic City Night promotion, we fully respect its decision,” the Hawks said in a statement. “As a franchise, we are committed to celebrating the best of Atlanta – with authenticity – in ways that continue to unify and bring us closer together.”

On Monday evening, the Atlanta Hawks picked up their tenth consecutive win with a comfortable home win over the Orlando Magic. The game was originally named “Magic City Night”, which was supposed to be a collaboration between the team and a local adult entertainment establishment, but the NBA ultimately canceled the promotion after criticism from San Antonio Spurs big man Luke Kornet.

However, despite this, many fans in attendance showed support for the venue anyway, as described by the Associated Press.

The Associated Press reported via ESPN, “Support or not, plenty of Hawks fans were dressed the same way. Magic City gear, both official and unofficial merchandise, was a common sight throughout the crowd. The hero was Nickell Alexander-Walker, who continued his Most Improved Player of the Year campaign with 41 points on nine three pointers, while Jalen Johnson recorded his 13th triple double of the year and second consecutive.

The Hawks are now just a game and a half out of the top six in the East, which would mean missing out on the play-in tournament altogether.

Atlanta will next take the field on Wednesday evening for a road game against the Dallas Mavericks as they look to take their streak to 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown criticized the Beverly Hills Police Department on Saturday for shutting down a panel he hosted during All-Star weekend. After Sunday’s game, according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes, Brown dismissed a statement issued by BHPD during his post-game media availability.

“I’m hurt by the statement made by Beverly Hills, as if we applied for something and didn’t get it, and yet we got it done.” [and] We were disobedient,” Brown said after the NBA All-Star Game. “I know how to follow the rules. I’m smart enough to follow the guidelines. It seemed like no one wanted whatever we were doing to continue because out of everything we were doing, it seemed like I was the only one who got shut down.

Brown claims the event was quiet, filled with fans, social media influencers and NBA players like the Celtics All-Star forward.

Brown didn’t hold back when he called out his ex, the Beverly Hills Police, on Twitter.

He wrote, “Beverly Hills is so trash I’m offended, here was a great panel with a great guest about the future of the culture, people worked hard for this, how dare you guys.”

“For a little more context, police came to shut down Jaylen Brown’s panel in Beverly Hills around 7 p.m., claiming he didn’t file the proper permits,” Daniel Donabedian of ClutchPoints reported on X.

“I know I play for the Celtics, and I know we’re in L.A. But hey, I didn’t think y’all would do this to me,” Brown posted on social media via a video of him interacting with police who were dispatched to the event.

Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown revealed a lot over All-Star weekend, including a potential career opportunity with the UFC, and how his program was unexpectedly shut down by Beverly Hills Police. According to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, the following statement regarding Brown’s event was released by BHPD.

“On Saturday, February 14, the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) responded to an event taking place at a private residence in the city’s Trousdale neighborhood. An event permit had been applied for and denied by the city due to previous violations associated with events at the address,” the statement said.

“Despite the fact that the permit was denied, the organizers still decided to invite hundreds of guests, despite knowing that this was not allowed to happen. BHPD responded and shut down the unpermitted event.”

Brown disputed this account from the Beverly Hills Police Department and said he believed he was targeted by city police.
