Fans went wild after Jayson Tatum attempted a one-handed dunk during his season debut in the Boston Celtics’ matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.

Tatum finally made his long-awaited debut on March 6. This occurred approximately 10 months after tearing his Achilles in Game 4 of the 2025 East Semifinals against the New York Knicks.

Tatum missed the first 62 games of the season, leaving him with 20 games left to potentially participate. Making his debut against Dallas, he attempted a one-handed dunk in the opening minutes of the second quarter. Even though the rim rejected him, the fans in attendance were happy to see him use that burst of athleticism to improve his health.

West Ham United’s Taty Castellanos has revealed that he had the opportunity to join River Plate early in his career.

The Argentina international appeared on a stream with Lagusneta and Teo D’Elia to talk about some topics.

The South American club approached the 27-year-old when he was his assistant to Mattias Biscay. His first term was between June 2012 and December 2022. He returned to River Plate again in August 2024 as assistant to Marcelo Gallardo.

“My friends from Mendoza and my brother are all River Plate fans, they were driving me crazy trying to get me to join them,” He said.

Why didn’t Taty Castellanos join River Plate?

According to La Pagina Millonaria, after losing Julian Alvarez to Manchester City, River Plate tried to sign the attacker in the summer of 2022. In the same window, the Argentine club sold Enzo Fernández to Benfica.

These two deals significantly improved their financial position, but reports now claim that River Plate refused to meet New York City’s $15m [€12.7m] price. Therefore, he ultimately did not join them.

Taty Castellanos has two goals in nine appearances for West Ham in all competitions. He has a contract until 2030, with the option of a further year, but has been linked with a move away from the Hammers.
