Katherine Legge lands Cup Series ride for iconic race

Kathryn Legge will get back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Cup Series ride, and take a seat in the No. 78 car with Live Fast Motorsports on Mother’s Day weekend at Watkins Glen International.

As reported by JaySki.com, Legg is partnering with Live Fast Motorsports and Cosmetics Chevrolet to race the No. 78 car at Go Bowling at The Glen on Sunday. It will be his first Cup Series race since the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October.

Legge, age 45, made his Cup Series debut in the 2025 Shriners Children’s 500 last March. While she ultimately finished 30th, Live Fast Motorsports and NASCAR received some criticism for giving Phoenix her first race in a Next Gen car.

Why is Watkins Glen a good fit for Katherine Legge?

katherine legg
Kristin Enzor/For IndyStar/USA TODAY Network via Imagine Images

Legge’s return behind the wheel in the Cup Series at Watkins Glen International seems like a perfect fit. He has years of experience racing on road courses, including this track.

She drove the No. 78 car there for LFM last year and handled herself well in the Chicago street race and finished 19th. He has also made 10 career starts in his racing career, including a GTD win with Andy Lally at the Six Hours of the Glen in 2017.

Given the improvement he showed as he gained more experience in the Cup Series, this should prove to be a good move for LFM. Although the No. 78 car will be nowhere close to challenging for the win, there is at least a chance that Legge will record the third top-25 finish of his Cup Series career.

WWE’s Triple H took the iconic point photo with Joe Mazzulla

Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla and guard Derrick White were on hand on the March 23, 2026 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in Boston, just hours after suffering a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Celtics were represented by head coach Joe Mazzulla and guard Derrick White at TD Garden on Monday night. His appearance at ringside quickly became one of the most talked about segments of the night.

When the cameras panned to White and Mazzulla on the field, both men had a unique presentation ready for the fans. While White flashed a wide smile and smiled at the camera, Coach Majulla sat for a moment before throwing his arms around White. Mazzulla continued to attack White as the Boston crowd cheered and roared.

Soon after, pictures from the event also started going viral on the internet. WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H uploaded a photo on social media, where he was seen standing with Mazzulla in his iconic pointing pose. “It was great to see.” [Celtics] Coach Joe Mazzulla [at TD Garden] …Now you’re ready for it [WWE RAW!]In another video uploaded, Triple H also gifted the Celtics head coach a custom Boston Celtics WWE Championship belt.

A few hours ago, at the Boston Celtics vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game, WWE superstars Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, both wearing Celtics jerseys, were seen attending the game and shown on the big screen.

In a moment now going viral on the Internet, Morgan was caught swallowing an entire pint of beer. While Rodriguez struggled with it, Morgan finished the glass and happily posed for the camera.

Stephen Curry has perfectly replicated Mike Breen’s iconic ‘Bang Bang’ call

Things aren’t looking great for the Golden State Warriors, especially after a discouraging 129-101 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at home. The team has been calling time on its star players Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis as they recover from their respective injuries/illnesses, and while they have picked up some impressive wins despite being without their best player, they are not going to advance anywhere in the postseason without Curry’s services.

At this point, the Warriors are a shell of the powerhouse they used to be. Nostalgia can cloud one’s perception of reality, however, as many Dubs fans know that their time as a competitive team under Curry is coming to an end.

But one should never forget how incredibly fun it was to watch the Curry-led Warriors in their heyday, even though it’s been almost a decade since they sealed a historic 73-win campaign.

Curry is at least doing his part to make sure his legacy lives on long after he hangs up the sneakers he recreated Hall of Fame commentator Mike Breen’s iconic “double bang” call of his game-winner from the hash line against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016.

Stephen Curry, the Warriors are on their last legs

Curry and the Warriors, during their prime, were so unstoppable. Defenses at the time hadn’t yet figured out how to maximize the mathematical advantage of the three-point shot, but there Curry was exposing opposing defenses like it was nobody’s business.

The Dubs won four rings with Curry as the star of the show, and the addition of Kevin Durant shouldn’t diminish Curry and the Warriors’ winning legacy. However, all good things come to an end, and after Jimmy Butler’s injury, the Warriors may be watching the last few good years of Curry’s NBA career come to an end.

The San Francisco 49ers admitted they are interested in trading the iconic Pro Bowler

There are definitely changes coming to the San Francisco 49ers’ roster this offseason. The team has already acknowledged that Brandon Aiyuk’s days with the 49ers are over, but they have not announced any transaction yet.

Meanwhile, if the 49ers can’t reach a contract settlement soon, they could be preparing to say goodbye to All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams. But not only this.

There has also been a lot of talk this offseason about a possible trade of Mac Jones, but the 49ers aren’t ready to declare him a goner. However, the 49ers have indicated that they would prefer to retain Jones, who only has one year left on his contract.

However recently, 49ers general manager John Lynch admitted that the 49ers are willing to listen to a trade offer for the Pro Bowl QB. But he also warned other general managers that the 49ers would need a “fairly strong” offer to trade with him.

“He’s really good to us, and we value him.” Lynch said. “So somebody has to come up with something strong enough for our idea. And then I don’t know what we do. Obviously, there’s always something that will make you [do it]But I think we’re a better team with him and we like having him around.”

Teams are always looking for their next starting quarterback. The 49ers feel they have a franchise QB in Purdy, as well as a starting-caliber backup in Jones. Still, they can now take advantage of Jones’ superior value and pair it with another contributor if they get the draft compensation they want.

Top 4 Iconic Last-Minute Football Goals That Shocked the World 🤯🔥

Football is not just a game; for millions of fans in India and across the globe, it is an emotion that lasts until the very last second. There is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush of a “Fergie Time” winner or a 90th-minute header that changes history. When the referee is about to blow the whistle and a miracle occurs, legends are born.

Inspired by the viral pulses of #football #shorts, we dive into the top 4 iconic last-minute goals that left the world in absolute shock.

1. Sergio Agüero vs QPR (2012) – “AGÜEROOOOOO!”

If you ask any football fan about the most dramatic finish in Premier League history, 2012 is the only answer. Manchester City needed a win against QPR to clinch the title from rivals Manchester United. As the clock hit 93:20, Sergio Agüero received a pass from Mario Balotelli, skipped past a defender, and smashed the ball into the net.

The Etihad Stadium erupted, and Martin Tyler’s commentary became immortal. This goal didn’t just win a match; it signaled a shift in the power dynamics of English football.

2. Sergi Roberto vs PSG (2017) – The Remontada

Barcelona faced the impossible. After losing 4-0 to PSG in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, they needed a miracle at Camp Nou. In the 95th minute, the score was 5-1 (5-5 on aggregate, but PSG led on away goals).

Neymar floated a delicate ball into the box, and the unlikely hero, Sergi Roberto, lunged forward to poke it home. The “Remontada” (The Comeback) was complete. It remains the greatest recovery in the history of the UEFA Champions League.

3. Lucas Moura vs Ajax (2019) – The Hat-trick Hero

The 2018-19 Champions League season was a fever dream. Tottenham Hotspur looked down and out against a young, vibrant Ajax side. Trailing 3-0 on aggregate at halftime in the second leg, Lucas Moura scored twice to give Spurs hope.

With literally the last kick of the game in the 96th minute, Moura slotted a left-footed shot into the bottom corner. The sight of Mauricio Pochettino crying on the pitch is a memory etched in the hearts of Spurs fans and neutral observers alike.

4. Ole Gunnar Solskjær vs Bayern Munich (1999) – The Treble Maker

Manchester United’s 1999 Champions League final is the blueprint for “never say die.” Trailing 1-0 for almost the entire game, Teddy Sheringham equalised in the 91st minute. But United weren’t done.

In the 93rd minute, David Beckham swung in another corner, flicked on by Sheringham, and Ole Gunnar Solskjær poked it into the roof of the net. In two minutes, United snatched the trophy from Bayern Munich’s hands, completing an unprecedented Treble.

Conclusion

These four goals represent why we love football. They serve as a reminder that in this sport, it is never over until the final whistle. Unforgettable Indian Hockey Moments: Rare Footage & Iconic Wins

Unforgettable Indian Hockey Moments: Rare Footage & Iconic Wins

In India, hockey isn’t just a sport; it is a legacy etched in gold. Long before the cricket craze took over the nation, the rhythmic sound of the hockey stick hitting the ball was the heartbeat of millions. From the wizardry of Major Dhyan Chand to the historic bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Indian hockey has a treasure trove of memories. In this article, we revisit those unforgettable Indian hockey moments and the rare footage that keeps our national pride alive.

The Golden Era: Six Consecutive Olympic Gold Medals

The period between 1928 and 1956 is often referred to as the ‘Golden Era’ of Indian hockey. India won six consecutive Olympic gold medals, a feat that remains unparalleled in sporting history. Rare footage from the 1936 Berlin Olympics shows Major Dhyan Chand playing barefoot in the second half, bamboozling the German defenders. It is said that even Adolf Hitler was so impressed by Dhyan Chand’s “magic” that he offered him German citizenship—an offer the legend gracefully declined.

1975 World Cup Victory: The Zenith of Glory

While India dominated the Olympics, the World Cup was a different challenge. The 1975 World Cup final against arch-rivals Pakistan remains one of the most-watched matches in Indian sports history. Ashok Kumar, the son of Dhyan Chand, scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory. This win solidified India’s status as a global powerhouse and remains India’s only Hockey World Cup title to date. Modern fans often hunt for rare snippets of this match on archives to witness the sheer grit of the 1975 squad.

The 1980 Moscow Olympics: The Last Gold

After a brief slump, the 1980 Moscow Olympics provided a massive boost. Led by Vasudevan Baskaran, a young Indian side fought hard to reclaim the top spot on the podium. The final against Spain was a high-scoring thriller (4-3), and the sight of the Indian flag flying high once again remains a core memory for the older generation of hockey enthusiasts.

The Resurgence: Tokyo 2020 Bronze

For forty years, Indian hockey fans waited for an Olympic medal. That wait ended in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics. The emotional images of PR Sreejesh sitting on top of the goalpost after defeating Germany 5-4 for the bronze medal went viral globally. This wasn’t just a win; it was the rebirth of hockey in the Indian mainstream, inspiring a new generation of players from Odisha to Punjab.

Why These Moments Matter Today

With the rise of the Hockey India League (HIL) and increased government funding, Indian hockey is seeing a massive resurgence. Rare footage of past wins serves as a technical masterclass for young players, showcasing the “Indian style” of dribbling and short passing that modern turf-based hockey has tried to emulate.

Conclusion

The journey of Indian hockey is a rollercoaster of unparalleled dominance, a period of struggle, and a triumphant return to form. These iconic wins are more than just statistics; they are stories of national identity. Remembering This Iconic Goalie Fight From The Battle Of Alberta 🥊

Remembering the Iconic Goalie Fight: A Legendary Moment in the Battle of Alberta

In the world of professional ice hockey, few rivalries carry the raw intensity and historical weight of the Battle of Alberta. While the rivalry between the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers has seen countless goals and bone-crushing hits, one moment stands tall in the memory of fans worldwide: the legendary goalie fight between Mike Smith and Cam Talbot.

For sports enthusiasts in India, where field hockey is a national pride, the high-octane aggression of ice hockey might seem startling. However, the 2020 clash between these two titans remains a masterclass in sporting drama and team loyalty.

The Setting: February 1, 2020

The stage was set at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. Tensions had been simmering for weeks following a series of physical encounters between the two teams. In the NHL (National Hockey League), when two neighbours like Calgary and Edmonton meet, the atmosphere is electric. But no one expected the “unspoken rule” of hockey—that goalies stay in their nets—to be shattered so spectacularly.

The Spark and the Explosion

The game was already a high-scoring frenzy. Late in the second period, a massive multi-player brawl erupted near the Oilers’ net. As players from both sides grappled, Edmonton’s Mike Smith didn’t just stay a spectator. He skated to centre ice, raised his gloved hand, and challenged Calgary’s Cam Talbot.

In hockey culture, a “goalie fight” is a rare, mythical event. It signifies the ultimate peak of a rivalry. Talbot accepted, skating out to meet Smith. What followed was a flurry of haymakers that sent the crowd into a state of absolute delirium. It wasn’t just a fight; it was a statement of intent from two teams that genuinely despised losing to one another.

Why This Moment Mattered

While India celebrates hockey for its tactical brilliance and grass-surface skill, the Canadian version on ice incorporates “the code”—the idea that players police themselves. The Smith vs. Talbot fight was the climax of a decade-long wait for the Battle of Alberta to truly “return” to its 1980s glory days. It showed that despite the modern era’s focus on speed and skill, the raw emotion of the sport remains its beating heart.

Conclusion

The goalie fight between Mike Smith and Cam Talbot remains an iconic chapter in NHL history. For Indian fans discovering the world of ice hockey, this event serves as the perfect introduction to the passion and intensity of the Battle of Alberta. It wasn’t just about the punches thrown; it was about the legacy of two cities divided by a highway but united by a fierce love for the game. Even years later, the video of these two netminders squaring off remains one of the most shared clips in sporting history.

Virat Kohli’s Iconic Cover Drive & Best Cricket Shots: King Kohli Magic #ViratKohli

Virat Kohli’s Iconic Cover Drive & Best Cricket Shots: The Magic of King Kohli

In the world of modern-day cricket, few sights are as aesthetic and mathematically precise as Virat Kohli leaning into a cover drive. For Indian cricket fans, it isn’t just a scoring shot; it’s a moment of art. Often referred to as “King Kohli,” Virat has redefined batting standards across all formats. While his fitness and aggression are legendary, it is his technical mastery and iconic shot-making that truly set him apart.

The Signature Shot: The Majestic Cover Drive

If there is one shot that defines #ViratKohli, it is the textbook cover drive. What makes Kohli’s cover drive superior to his contemporaries? It’s the perfect synchronization of head position, footwork, and a rhythmic follow-through.

When the ball is pitched slightly full outside the off-stump, Kohli’s front foot reaches the pitch of the ball with surgical precision. With his head leaning over his knee, he meets the ball right under his eyes, piercing the gap between cover and extra-cover. Whether it is in the red-ball format at Lord’s or a high-pressure T20I at the MCG, the “King Kohli Cover Drive” remains his most lethal weapon.

Beyond the Cover Drive: Viral Kohli’s Best Cricket Shots

While the cover drive is his calling card, Kohli’s arsenal is packed with variety. Here are some of the best cricket shots that have left bowlers bewildered:

  • The Flick Shot: Utilizing his incredibly strong wrists, Kohli can flick a ball from the middle-stump line toward the deep mid-wicket boundary with ease. It is a shot that demonstrates his Indian cricketing roots.
  • The Short-Arm Jab: Often seen in the IPL and T20Is, Kohli uses his forearm strength to “jab” deliveries that aren’t quite short enough to pull, sending them flying over the square-leg fence.
  • The Lofted Straight Drive: When Kohli decides to take the attack to the spinners, his straight lofted shot—hitting against the spin or with it—is a sight to behold.
  • The “Shot of the Century” (The Backfoot Punch/Six): Who can forget the straight six off Haris Rauf in the 2022 T20 World Cup? That backfoot punch-stroke over the bowler’s head showed Kohli’s freakish ability to generate power from a stable base.

Why the “King Kohli Magic” Works

The secret behind Virat Kohli’s shot-making isn’t just talent; it is his discipline. His ability to play low-risk cricket while maintaining a high strike rate is what makes him a chasing master. He rarely plays “ugly” shots. By sticking to the basics of “V” batting and then improvising as the innings progresses, he creates a montage of cricket magic every time he steps onto the crease.

Conclusion

Virat Kohli’s batting is a masterclass in blending traditional technique with modern-day power. His iconic cover drive will go down in history as one of the most beautiful sights in sports. As King Kohli continues to break records, his shots remain a textbook for aspiring cricketers across India and the world. Whether you are a casual viewer or a die-hard cricket fan, the magic of Virat Kohli is something that transcends statistics—it is pure, unadulterated skill.

Ronaldo vs Real Madrid: The Iconic UCL Comeback That Shocked the World 🐐🔥

In the glitzy history of the UEFA Champions League (UCL), few names resonate as powerfully as Cristiano Ronaldo. For football fans in India, where the 3:00 AM IST kick-offs are a rite of passage, one specific night in 2016 remains etched in memory. It was the night “CR7” proved why he is considered the GOAT of European football, single-handedly pulling Real Madrid from the brink of elimination against Wolfsburg.

The Backdrop: A Giant on the Verge of Collapse

The quarter-finals of the 2015-16 UCL season saw Real Madrid facing the German side, Wolfsburg. In a shocking first leg, Los Blancos were defeated 2-0 away from home. The world media had written them off. The “Remontada” (comeback) seemed impossible. However, Cristiano Ronaldo had other plans. He famously told his teammates and the media, “It will be a perfect night,” and he delivered exactly that.

The Hat-trick That Defined an Era

On April 12, 2016, the Santiago Bernabéu was a pressure cooker. Ronaldo didn’t just play; he hunted. Within the first 17 minutes, he had already leveled the aggregate score with two quick-fire goals, sending the Madridistas into a frenzy.

But the crowning moment came in the 77th minute. Facing a wall of defenders, Ronaldo stepped up for a free kick. With his trademark stance, he struck the ball through a gap in the wall, nestling it into the bottom corner. A hat-trick completed, a 3-0 victory secured, and a semi-final spot booked. It was football at its absolute peak.

Why This Comeback Matters to Indian Fans

For the growing football community in India, Ronaldo at Real Madrid represents the gold standard of professional excellence. This match wasn’t just about goals; it was about the sheer will to win that defines a legend.

The Legacy of the UCL King

That comeback wasn’t just a flash in the pan. It paved the way for Real Madrid to win the 11th UCL title (La Undécima), starting a dominant run of three consecutive Champions League trophies. Ronaldo finished that season as the top scorer with 16 goals, further cementing his status as the highest goalscorer in the competition’s history.
