Kevin Nash weighed in on the ongoing conversation surrounding TKO’s involvement in WWE creative, offering one of the most scathing hot takes you’ll ever hear on the latest episode of the Click This Podcast. Nash’s reasoning is simple: Triple H knows what he’s doing, and the executives above him don’t need to get involved.

“(Paul) Levesque has taken over, and everyone loves the direction that this Levesque guy is taking the new flagship WWE program in the Netflix era,” Nash said. ‘And then lo and behold, just like every other business on earth, the bullshit people on top of that who have no clue except how to get paid more, people higher up the food chain decide to start their business where they don’t need it.’

“We’re going to put this guy in. Let’s put this guy in. How about him in the main event? What if we put this guy in? Why would we put that guy in?’ We’ve got a $500 million deal that involves this guy. While we’re at it, let’s make the field look like NASCAR.”

Nash clarified that his criticism was directed at those above Triple H in the TKO structure. Not Levesque himself.

“It doesn’t take anything away from Paul Levesque, because Paul Levesque still knows what he’s doing. If anyone out there feels like this, maybe thinks this might apply to them, how about leaving the f–king company alone? Get your f–king nose out of creative.”

Triple H took over creative control of WWE in 2022 and received widespread praise for the initial direction of the product under his leadership. However, last month, TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro publicly claimed that TKO has full control over WWE creative. Recent reports are clearing the way for a monster trade that has Kevin Durant returning to the Golden State Warriors and Jimmy Butler returning to the Houston Rockets.

On Friday night, the Rockets saw their promising season come to a very disappointing end with a Game 6 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. What made their elimination more troubling is that they could not beat a Lakers team that was without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves for most of the series.

Still, this shouldn’t come as a complete shock. Something was going wrong with the Rockets team for several months. And it seemed like it all started with All-Star Weekend drama amid speculation that Durant had a Burner X account where he mocked his Houston teammates.

Most believed it was a foolish situation that would be quickly forgotten in the locker room. However, a new report from The Athletic’s William Guillory and Sam Amick adds to the debate that the All-Star Game allegations were a problem in the locker room and worsened because they were never formally addressed by the future Hall of Famer.

“Multiple league sources with close ties to Rockets players indicated that the social media situation was a significant distraction that was never resolved internally,” the report reveals. “…Privately, league sources said [Durant’s] The teammates agreed to keep the matter at home while they focused on basketball. It is unclear whether Durant ever made it clear to his associates whether the account was his or not.

All of this begs the question: Should the Rockets trade Durant this summer because he seems like a bad mix on a team that was on a massive upward trend before he arrived a year ago? The Guillory and Amick report provides reasons why this is unlikely. They gave him a waiver on the extension and opted to come to Houston. Plus, when Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams suffered season-ending injuries, the Rockets probably always had a ceiling.

Still, there have been major body language problems with this group for several months, and they’ve never come close to reaching the potential expected by most basketball pundits. Before things get worse, it may be wise to seek divorce instead of withdrawing. But where could the Rockets send Durant, and what could they get back?

Why trading Jimmy Butler for Kevin Durant makes sense

The danger in moving Durant is that Houston gave up a lot to get him. Can they really get the same value to chase the title in 2026-27? This limits the options significantly, but leaves an interesting idea. Trading Durant to the Warriors for Jimmy Butler.

It’s well established that the Warriors are eager to reunite with Durant after the 16-time All-Star helped lead them to three consecutive Finals trips – two wins – during his three seasons in California. The team has been searching for a superstar for the last two years and bringing back the devil they know, not the devil they don’t know.

Plus, while Butler was good in Golden State, we know for a fact that Durant is a better fit there. Especially if coach Steve Kerr returns next season. Additionally, a case can be made that Butler would be a better fit in Houston under Ime Udoka. A defensive-minded coach like Erik Spoelstra and Butler were fantastic with him in Miami.

The biggest issue is that the soon-to-be 37-year-old is trying to bounce back from a torn ACL. It would be understandable if the Rockets weren’t interested in two veterans potentially coming off ACL tears (VanVleet) next season. But matching the money in a trade in a Durant for Butler swap is far easier than most potential deals.

If Golden State is willing to give up a future first-round pick to sweeten the pot, it would be an offer Houston should seriously consider. A lineup of Kristaps Porzingis, Draymond Green, Durant, Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski, and Alpern Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., Butler, Amen Thompson and VanVleet looks very good for the Warriors.

This was because the Lakers repeatedly used the tactic of double-teaming him, testing his decision-making abilities while forcing his Houston teammates to try to beat them.

But before Game 3, Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. was asked how the team can help Durant get involved offensively as he sees more and more double-teaming in the half-court. However, Smith’s reaction to his partner’s distress was quite surprising.

Thomas could have possibly made his point about Durant’s greatness without bringing up Jordan’s name, but that might have been asking too much of the great point guard.

Thomas and the Detroit Pistons were one of the few teams that had their way against Jordan early in his career, before he overcame them en route to winning six NBA championships over an eight-year period in the 1990s.

Of course, Thomas was a special player in his own right, winning multiple championships with the Pistons and establishing himself as one of the greatest point guards of all-time.

However, it doesn’t look like he and Jordan will be making amends any time soon.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. recently shared why he thinks he needs to surpass Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo’s 83-point performance, pointing to Kobe Bryant’s legacy as a major inspiration.

Kevin McGonigle is headed to the big leagues. The Detroit Tigers announced that McGonigal made the Opening Day roster for the 2026 MLB season. The 21-year-old shortstop is the Tigers’ top prospect and one of the favorites to win the AL Rookie of the Year award this season.

McGonigal has quickly risen through the ranks after being selected by the Tigers with the 37th pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. In 2025, McGonigal was promoted to the Tigers’ Double-A affiliate, the Erie SeaWolves. After hitting 12 home runs and driving in 41 runs in 46 games, the shortstop earned the opportunity to fight for an Opening Day roster spot this season.

In spring training, McGonigal hit two home runs while driving in six runs in 44 at bats. The 21-year-old shortstop had a batting average of .250 and on-base percentage of .888. McGonigal gave Detroit a difficult decision and instead of sending him back to the minor leagues, he would remain as the starting shortstop.

Like other highly regarded MLB prospects, McGonigle would skip Triple-A and go straight to MLB. The Tigers are confident in McGonigal’s offensive abilities and his fielding was significantly improved during spring training. Now, he will slide into the left side of the infield next to third baseman Colt Keith.

McGongile is the consensus No. 2 prospect in baseball and is highly touted in Detroit. It may take time for McGonigal to fully integrate into MLB, but that shouldn’t scare anyone into his long-term potential in the big leagues.

McGonigle is ready to make his long-awaited debut in MLB, and the Tigers believe he can live up to expectations. If so, Detroit’s biggest addition in the 2025 MLB offseason could be one of the best prospects in baseball.

Before everything is said and done in Durant’s career, it is very likely that he will also surpass Kobe Bryant’s all-time scoring tally, which would put him in fourth place on the all-time scoring list. If he continues to play at a high level for three more seasons, he could even surpass Karl Malone.

But the Rockets star knows his spot on the all-time scoring list is not secure. In fact, he’s celebrating players like Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards and believes they are on their way to eventually catching him.

“Sooner than that. There’s a lot of people in the way,” Durant said in an appearance on Boardroom Talks. “They hit the same marks I hit that time.”

Indeed, Doncic and Edwards have been scoring machines early in their careers, and they show no signs of slowing down. The former, in particular, has been on a heater lately, even dropping 60 points in a recent win over the Miami Heat.

The Minnesota Timberwolves finally ended an unwanted streak against the Boston Celtics after earning a 102-92 win at TD Garden on Sunday.

Minnesota won 99–97 after Sprewell scored with 0.9 seconds remaining. Garnett, who was coming off an MVP season, had 21 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and two steals. Wally Szczerbiak added 20 points, four rebounds and four assists off the bench.

Very few players can match the accomplishments that Jordan accomplished during his illustrious career, which is why this is such a great accomplishment for Durant. Already known as one of the most lethal scorers in NBA history, Durant now has a top-five scoring rating to back up that claim.

When he passed Dirk Nowitzki for sixth on the all-time scoring list against the New Orleans Pelicans on January 18, Durant said it was “crazy” to be on the list with a “legend” like Nowitzki.

Durant said, “I want to continue to make a lot of appearances, climb up the charts, just see how I finish. It’s been amazing so far.”

What makes all these late-career accomplishments even more amazing is the fact that Durant has continued to play like one of the best players in the NBA even after suffering an Achilles injury in the 2019 NBA Finals and missing all of the 2019-20 season.

Very few athletes are able to return to the sport they love after an Achilles injury and still remain effective. Not only has Durant done this, but his overall production and value have remained unchanged before and after the injury.

Durant has had one of the most decorated careers in basketball history, especially when you include his Team USA accomplishments at the Olympics, and surpassing Jordan on the all-time scoring list is another reminder of how great KD is.

While Doncic scored 40 points in Wednesday’s win over Houston, James was clearly the second option in this affair, dismantling Houston’s defense and draining difficult jumpers.

With this win, the Lakers have increased their lead on the field for third place in the Western Conference, and will take the field again for a game against the Miami Heat on Thursday evening.

The Houston Rockets lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in back-to-back meetings, going 4-6 in their last 10 games. Kevin Durant and company will need to regroup quickly if they want to avoid missing the playoffs.

The Rockets had no answer for the duo of Luka Doncic and LeBron James on Wednesday as they held off the Lakers for a 124-116 win at Toyota Center.

Los Angeles outscored Houston 35–24 in the fourth quarter, earning its seventh consecutive win and making the score 44–25.

Kevin Durant was held to just 18 points on 11 shots. He had six rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Athletic’s Law Murray pointed to a rare example involving Durant.

However, as The Athletic’s Will Guillory reports, Durant didn’t make a big issue of his lack of shots in the final quarter against the Lakers.

“It’s a team game. I’m getting two shots, it doesn’t matter. We’ve had six guys with double-digit shot attempts, and guys were pretty efficient tonight as well. I don’t think it’s a talking point,” the veteran forward said.

He averages 17.7 attempts with the Rockets.

The Knicks have had some productive role players on the team, such as Luke Kornet, who is emerging as a backup center with the Spurs this season. But Fizdale believed the roster construction was not really conducive to winning.

“When you look at that roster as a whole, all solid players, but when you put them on the floor together, the pieces weren’t working… If I were doing it again, I would have struggled more to make a team early on and not cash in on my record.”

Overall, Fizdale brought a different take to the conversation about tanking. The tanking discussion has been a big one throughout the season, and Fizdale offered a different perspective on it.

“That’s the hard part for coaches when you agree to tank. When you tank, you have to build something big. Not everything that happens is considered a tank… That’s not the formula.”

The Houston Rockets have been up and down lately, currently sitting at 38-22 after a recent narrow road win over the Washington Wizards. The Rockets’ solid roster construction has allowed them to survive despite playing without Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams for most of this year.

Roster construction has been a topic of debate in the NBA in recent years, with various cap restrictions and aprons making it difficult for teams to assemble truly effective squads.

However, one person who is a fan is Rockets star Kevin Durant.

“Thank God for the second apron and the first apron,” Durant said, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press via The Washington Post.

“We wanted some parity and I think that’s exactly what we’ve gotten over the last few years,” he said. “I mean, it’s fun for everybody watching the game, not knowing who will be there at the end of the season. Regardless, the win snapped a two-game losing streak for Miami, moving them to 32–29 for the season and 8th in the Eastern Conference. Bam Adebayo was the highlight of the game, finishing with a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds. MIAMI – As Miami Heat star Tyler Herro had a big role in their 115-105 win over the Houston Rockets, he will bring a jolt of energy to the game, in addition to making shots and being a playmaker. In Miami’s win, Herro would be reinserted into the starting lineup after playing the final four off the bench as he was coming off a 15-game absence due to a rib injury. By the end of the game, Herro and Durant hugged each other in a show of respect, as the guard told ClutchPoints after the game that it was just “competition at the end of the day.” Herro will say Durant defended himself.

“He was saying, ‘I couldn’t defend,’ then I said something to him. But, we’re competing. And at the end of the day, you want to play with the best players in the world and compete like that. Heat’s Erik Spoelstra on his experience with Kevin Durant on Team USA

Durant’s impact on Team USA Basketball is immense, as he is the men’s all-time leading scorer in Olympic competition and a four-time gold medalist. Currently 37, the star will be approaching 40 by the time of the 2028 Olympics, but there’s no doubt that Durant is still an elite player, as evidenced by his current stint in Houston.

Currently with the Rockets, Durant is averaging 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from deep.
