The competition is going on for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid chelseaMark Cucurella this summer.

Last month, Sports Witness broadcast news The left-back is a dream target for the Madrid club, having missed out on him on two occasions in the past.

On Thursday, we Covered claims from Spain Barcelona’s sporting director Deco contacted him in May. The 28-year-old feels his time at Chelsea is over.

As well as the fullback, two Spanish clubs are fighting for Bernardo Silva, who has left Manchester City. Hansi Flick’s side are also keen to sign Atletico star Julian Alvarez.

La Liga giants fighting for Chelsea star

Mark Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Julian Alvarez are on Friday’s front page Sports world. The pair are set to face a ‘super duel’ between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and will also try to sign the former striker.

Diego Simeone’s side are desperate to sign the Chelsea player this summer. However, he will face competition from Barcelona, who have emerged as an option for the 27-year-old.

He graduated from the Catalan club’s academy but failed to secure a place in their first team.

The newspaper said: ‘The prospect of returning home as an established player outweighs other offers.’

However, the La Liga winners will first have to sell Alejandro Balde to make room for the Spain international.

Another report from Mundo Deportivo focuses on Los Rojiblancos’ efforts to try to sign Cucurella.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Alejandro Grimaldo is also on their list, but the Blues man is the left-back’s main target. Signing the former Brighton player will not be easy with Barcelona and Manchester City also keen.

Spanish media value Cucurella at €50m while UK claims Chelsea want €70m. If this were true, Atlético would not be able to match the asking price.

Tottenham man’s agent left stunned by report – information completely dismissed

Luka Vuckovic’s agent left wondering amid reports of talks over a potential new contract Tottenham Hotspur.

MOPO reports thisAccording to his knowledge, a recent report about the Tottenham youngster was widespread.

The tottenham report is wrong

The newspaper reports that a recent paragraph in a British newspaper had caused excitement at HSV Hamburg. In an article about the team’s plans at Tottenham, it was claimed that the 19-year-old player was expected to sign a new contract with Tottenham.

He would then be loaned out once again to Hamburg. This would be a dream scenario for HSV. He has almost resigned himself to making up for Tottenham losing the defender this summer.

But, according to MOPO, the part given in the report is not true. Their information is that there have currently been no talks between Luka Vuckovic’s representatives and Tottenham regarding a new contract.

And, as a result, there is no need to speculate about any potential contractual agreement between HSV and Vuckovic. The England report has caused ‘some surprise’ even in Vuckovic’s camp.

world cup focus

The 19-year-old player is not currently focused on his future. The World Cup is the main focus for them. He recently joined the Croatian national team in Rijeka to prepare for the tournament.

Croatia are set to face England, Panama and Ghana in the group stage of the competition next month. Talks with Tottenham will only take place once Croatia’s participation in the tournament ends.

It’s likely that Luka Vuckovic will play a big role in Tottenham’s plans for next season. This is especially the case if Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Veen were to depart in the coming months. Reports have linked both to the exit.

This has also been indicated in the reports. Vuckovic wants to leave Spurs this summer. Either way, the second loan remains ‘unreal’. This is despite what has been said in the English report.

Report calms concerns NY Knicks rust will lead to Game 1 clash in 2026 East Finals

A new report has calmed New York Knicks fans’ fears that they will struggle in Game 1 of their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to their lengthy layoff ahead of the Eastern Conference Finals.

There is a lot of hope and excitement about the Knicks right now. On Tuesday night, they begin their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Cavaliers at home and as the favorite. Due to their excellent play over the past few weeks, this could be the franchise’s best chance to win an NBA title in decades.

However, there are some among his fans and basketball experts who wonder if not playing in games since May 10 will have any impact. This question has reignited the rust vs. rest debate and how it relates to the Knicks, as the extra days off will certainly give talented forward OG Anunoby a better chance to return to the field after suffering a hamstring strain in Game 2 of the semifinals.

Well, on Tuesday afternoon Sportico data expert Lev Akabas wanted to end the debate. He recently dug into the numbers and revealed some interesting details in a new X post. According to Akabas, since 1984, teams that received five or more days of rest, while their opponents had one, were 42–23 in Game 1 of a playoff series. Additionally, they were 48–17 in those series.

When it comes to teams with five or more days off, and were at home against an opponent with one day off between series, those teams went 33–9 in Game 1. The record of those teams in series that started with those unique parameters was 39–3.

Although it may not ease the fears of the most anxious Knicks fans, the data should give most of them reason to feel very confident about Game 1 tonight. Beyond how well his team has played over the last two weeks.

Report links Chiefs and Ravens to moves for pair of multi-time Pro Bowlers soon

A new report suggests that the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens may be on the verge of acquiring the two multi-time Pro Bowl receivers still available in NFL free agency.

The 2025 season brought something football fans are not used to. losing seasons to the league’s dynasty team, the Chiefs, and perennial playoff contenders, the Ravens. Both franchises were hit by serious injuries and surprisingly disappointing play. However, a pair of AFC teams feel they have made changes this offseason that will get them back to Super Bowl contention in 2026.

However, they still have one glaring position on the roster that could provide some help: the wide receiver core. There are still some interesting veteran options on the market, and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler suggested the pair of AFC powerhouses are likely candidates to pick one of them.

“You have Keenan Allen, you have Stefon Diggs, you have Tyreek Hill, and you have a lot of teams that need help,” Fowler said on Saturday’s edition of ESPN. sports center. “The Kansas City Chiefs are a little thin at receiver. The Baltimore Ravens are also a little thin.”

Why are Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs still in free agency?

Hill is an eight-time Pro Bowler who was among the star veterans cut by the Miami Dolphins this offseason as part of their new regime’s downsizing strategy. In 2024, he had his first season with less than 1,000 yards receiving and played only four games in 2025 after tearing his ACL.

Diggs had a comeback season as the No. 1 receiver for the AFC champion New England Patriots. Posting a distance of 1,013 yards. He also had a torn ACL, but that came two years ago. However, he has built a reputation for causing drama on and off the field.

Hill has a similar reputation, which is why the 30-something duo remains in free agency. There has been much speculation throughout the offseason about a reunion with the Chiefs and Hill. In Kansas City, Hill became one of the top pass catchers in the game and earned his six Pro Bowl honors there.

New report on Philadelphia 76ers summer plans is terrible news, but offers hope

For Philadelphia 76ers fans expecting notable roster changes this summer, a new report from ESPN has mostly bad news for you.

There were high expectations for the Sixers’ postseason chances in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. They made a stunning comeback from down 3-1 in the opening round series and eliminated the Boston Celtics. Several sports analysts also suggested that they were the former favorites to reach the NBA Finals. They then ran into the New York Knicks buzzsaw and were eliminated from the playoffs.

Change was clearly coming, and it came Tuesday when they officially fired president of basketball operations Daryl Morey. Head coach Nick Nurse will stay on for at least one more season, but what about his roster? This was clearly not enough to defeat New York. Additionally, busted stars Joel Embiid and Paul George are costly obstacles to improving the roster.

Many have suggested in recent days that the 76ers won’t do much this summer. And it seems that sports officials believe they shouldn’t. A Western executive told ESPN, “Run it back, manage Joel as best you can, be a playoff team and try to stay healthy. I think you can do a lot at the margin.”

Additionally, ESPN NBA insider Tim Bontemps said, “It doesn’t make sense for Philadelphia to pay a heavy price of assets to give up any veteran star.”

Team President’s ‘catchy’ debut thanks to Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe

Yet making a move on the sidelines, as the West executive has suggested, may be difficult, because as NBA insider Brian Windhorst points out in the same report, the 76ers are apparently avoiding moving closer to the second NBA tax apron. This is reportedly why they moved Jared McCann before this year’s trade deadline, and has made similar trades in recent years.

However, the ESPN report offers some hope. Although the Sixers have stuck with George and Embiid, teams all around the game have relied heavily on the backcourt duo of Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe. An East executive told the outlet that they are “arguably the most exciting backcourt in the entire league.”

Additionally, multiple executives who spoke to NBA insiders claimed that the young and talented duo is a major reason why the chance to become the next team president is “tempting” for potential candidates.

Speculation heats up about NY Giants’ surprise plans for Arvel Reese after new report

A new report has lent credence to recent speculation that the New York Giants are actually planning to use first-round pick Arvel Reese as an inside linebacker and not an edge rusher.

Many were surprised that the Ohio State edge was not selected with the No. 2 pick by the New York Jets in last month’s NFL Draft. What is even more surprising is that he was not even picked in the next two selections. Arguably, the most talented pass rusher in this year’s class was allowed to fall to the Giants at fifth overall.

When Big Blue used its pick at No. 5 on Reese, it established a 2026 linebacker corps that could be terrible. But it also created a log jam for the outside linebacker spot with Brian Burns, 2025 No. 1 pick Abdul Carter and 2022 first-rounder Kayvon Thibodeaux. However, soon after being drafted, Reese and the team suggested he could play inside linebacker.

Most assumed this was something they would only try on occasion and that Reese would not have a permanent spot as he showed a lot of potential by posting 10 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks for OSU last season. However, according to NFL insider James Palmer, the Giants are serious, and so far, Reese is looking good at that position.

New York Giants fall in love with Arvel Reese’s versatility

veteran
John Jones-Imagen Images

Palmer said that during mini-camp, coach John Harbaugh and the staff were impressed with how light Reese was on his feet and good in coverage. Additionally, he liked how he did not miss any assignments and confirmed the high football IQ he felt he had during the draft process.

The NFL insider also noted that if Reese is on the sideline, offenses can play away from him. If he is standing in the middle they can’t do anything. This way, he can still be used in the middle of the attack, but because he is so smart and athletic, he can also make an impact in the run game and coverage.

The summer will really tell the story of where Reese ends up playing for the Giants. But so far, it looks like the team has plans to field most of its talented linebackers at the same time in 2026.

Henry Bolte to be called up by Athletics (report)

Henry Bolte recently took the world of minor league baseball by going 12-for-12. He had five extra-base hits in Friday’s game before posting another 5-for-5 game the next day. That performance has contributed to a .348/.418/.658 slash line and 1.076 OPS in 37 games with the Athletics’ Triple-A team.

According to sources told by Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline, the A’s are going to call up Bolte and give him a chance to remain with the big league club. The Athletics already have some of the best young hitters in the game in Nick Kurtz, Shea Langeliers and Jacob Wilson. Adding Bolt to that crop could put them in legitimate contention.

A are competing..?

It’s hard to believe, but yes, athletics is in controversy right now. They have managed to make it to the top of the struggling American League West division. The club has a respectable record of 21–19, which puts them two games ahead of the second-place Texas Rangers. If the season ended today, they would actually receive a bye into the postseason, which would be the second-best record to the AL division leaders.

That’s mostly due to that young offensive core. The A’s are in the top ten of MLB teams in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.249), on-base percentage (.326), slugging percentage (.400) and OPS (.726). This has helped cover the lack of viable pitching on the Athletics roster. The pitching staff has a combined 4.42 ERA on the year (21st in MLB).

Kurtz and Langeliers titled that group. Despite getting off to a slow start in his sophomore campaign, Kurtz has heated up since then. The 2025 AL Rookie of the Year has a ridiculous .841 OPS with a .414 OBP. To put that number in perspective, Barry Bonds’ career OBP is .444. Langeliers ultimately seemed to be successful, posting a .336 batting average with 11 home runs. The backstop has an OPS over 1,000 for the first time in his career.

Bolte’s spot on the roster

The outfield is mostly set up for the Athletics, with Lawrence Butler, Denzel Clark and Tyler Soderstrom making up the starting group. But that group has been seriously lacking in aggression and has posted a combined .191 batting average. Carlos Cortes and Jack Gelof have stepped up in their place. Cortes has an incredible .355/.408/.570 slash line with a .978 OPS.

With that in mind, Bolte has plenty of opportunities to get reps despite a crowded outfield. But if he struggles early, the A’s can always send him back to Triple-A. Bolte is only 22 and has plenty of time to develop. But if he can contribute at the big league level, it could go a long way in helping the club win its first division title since 2013 (not including the shortened 2020 campaign).

Report reveals AEW’s hometown SmackDown ticket sales were terrible year after year

Ticket sales for tonight’s WWE SmackDown from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida are significantly lower than where the company last played the building.

According to Racelytics, 6,704 of the existing 7,877 tickets have been sold, with approximately 1,173 tickets still available in the primary market ahead of the show.

The comparison to WWE’s most recent Jacksonville date makes for difficult reading. When WWE last played the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on May 17, 2024, the company sold 10,093 tickets for the SmackDown tapings — a difference of about 3,400 tickets from where Tonight’s Show is currently playing.

Both dates are the same on the calendar, with a difference of only one week in time of year, making the drop-off hard to explain as a seasonal factor. However, it is interesting that this is happening in the city that is seen as the home of AEW since its inception in 2019.

It’s the go-home SmackDown for Backlash on Saturday in Tampa, a card that would normally generate increased interest in surrounding television programming. WWE’s year-to-date average for 2026 sits at 10,556 tickets per show, meaning tonight’s attendance will be well below that benchmark, even if the remaining tickets are sold before the bell.

Tonight’s SmackDown card featured Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss taking on Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag match with implications for the Backlash title match, Tiffany Stratton defending the Women’s United States Championship against Kianna James in Stratton’s first title defense, a Gunther in-ring promo following his attack on Cody Rhodes, and a Gingerbread Man final. The Rite segment in which Sami Zayn was included as part of the production. Their United States Championship rematch at Backlash.

Fans have become more vocal than ever about the product WWE is offering its audiences, as TKO seeks to maximize returns for profit in order to pay off the debt taken on to purchase WWE. WWE will try to rebuild any distrust with fans, otherwise they will risk losing more fans.

Detroit Pistons won’t cross the line to re-sign Jalen Duren, report suggests

A new report suggests the Detroit Pistons are actually hoping big man Jalen Duren won’t earn All-NBA honors this season.

On Tuesday night, the Pistons begin their semifinal series against division rivals the Cleveland Cavaliers. It’s the latest step in the franchise’s most productive season since going to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2008.

Without a doubt, top star Cade Cunningham has played a vital role in the Pistons’ success this season. But second on the list of credits is center Jalen Duren. The 2022 first-round pick had a breakout season in 2025-26. Leading the team in rebounds (10.5) and second in points (19.5). His emergence as an All-Star is why they are the No. 1 seed in the conference.

Plus, his big season comes at the perfect time for him. He is in the final year of his contract and is set to become a restricted free agent this summer. The expectation for several months has been that the Pistons will match whatever offer they receive. However, the franchise has always been on the conservative side when it comes to spending. And when it comes to Duran there’s one place they’re not willing to go.

Detroit Pistons won’t pay Jalen Duren supermax

piston
Rick Osentoski-Imagen Images

In a new report from ESPN’s Tim Bontemps and Brian Windhorst, the pair of NBA insiders revealed, “If Duran is selected to the All-NBA team, he would become Supermax-eligible, which is an area the Pistons cannot venture into.” Cunningham is already playing on a supermax deal that will pay him an average of $55 million per year.

That doesn’t mean the Pistons aren’t willing to pay that type of money to two players. It’s probably more that they don’t want to pay Duran that kind of money, and they shouldn’t after a subpar performance in the opening round series against the Orlando Magic.

So what might be a good middle ground for both sides? A Western executive told Bontemps and Windhorst that a deal in the mid-$30 million per year is what Duren could get after a career year this season.

Chicago Bulls-Tom Thibodeau Reunion Rumors Just Got True After New Report

An unexpected reunion between the Chicago Bulls and former head coach Tom Thibodeau became a possibility after a new rumor on Tuesday.

After a fourth consecutive losing season, the Bulls decided to end the Billy Donovan era after six seasons as head coach. In their first year (2021–22), they gave Chicago fans hope as they went 46–36 and emerged as a force in the East. It seemed like they finally had a coach who could consistently make a playoff run like Thibodeau once did.

Nevertheless, he never regained that success and finished with a 226–256 record. Since Thibodeau left 11 years ago, the Bulls have had three different coaches and have reached the playoffs only twice in that time. Thibodeau oversaw the roster for five years and made the playoffs every season. Including an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals in their debut (2010–11).

That’s why it shouldn’t be surprising that there’s been speculation around the game about an unlikely reunion (including on SportsNote). Yet that kind of thing doesn’t happen in the NBA. But that could change this summer.

Tom Thibodeau ready for Chicago Bulls reunion

BULLS
David Banks-Imagn Images

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the 68-year-old coach, who was unfairly fired by the New York Knicks a year ago, wants to return to the NBA and is open to the idea of a return to the Bulls bench. That is, “if Reinsdorf and the new executive vice president of basketball operations, Bryson Graham, who was hired away from the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, were interested,” Amick writes.

It would be shocking if the Bulls decided to bring Thibodeau back. They moved on from him after the 2014–15 season with the belief that he could not lead them to the NBA Finals. Even in the years that followed he has been unable to achieve that goal. However, he has proven that he can get the franchise on the path to becoming a consistent playoff contender. He did it in Chicago and New York.

The Bulls are in a mess at the moment and need to rebuild from the ground up. Of the coaches available, Thibodeau has the track record of getting what the organization needs, while fully understanding the market pressures. Although unlikely, a reunion is much more possible than it was a few weeks ago.

Report opens door to NY Knicks replacing Mitchell Robinson with St. John’s star in draft

A new report points to the New York Knicks potentially replacing veteran rim-protector Mitchell Robinson with St. John’s top star in 2025-26.

Robinson never had stats that jumped off the page. Even this season, he is averaging 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just 19.6 minutes per night. However, for Knicks fans and rivals in the conference, they know the seven-foot player can make a big difference as an elite offensive rebounder, talented rim protector and lob threat.

That’s why New York gave the former second-round pick a huge raise four years ago in the form of a four-year, $60 million deal. However, with the valuable center in the final year of his contract, and the Knicks already hovering around the second salary tax apron, there’s a very real possibility they let Robinson walk in free agency.

That’s why they may consider trying to replace him with a more cost-effective option in June’s NBA Draft. Well, they could reportedly be one of those teams taking a close look at a player who could be a great replacement for Robinson next season.

Could the New York Knicks trade Mitchell Robinson for Zubie Ejiofor?

nix
Brett Davis-Imagen Images

According to college basketball insider Adam Zagoria, more than 20 teams have “requested private workouts” with St. John’s star Jubie Ejiofor. It would make complete sense if the Knicks were one of the teams the senior won Big East Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Scholar Athlete of the Year honors last season for a Red Storm team that reached the Sweet 16.

Although Ejiofor is shorter than Robinson (7-feet compared to 6-foot-9), he weighs similar to the Knicks center. He is also a talented rim protector (2.1 blocks per night) and offensive rebounder (3.0 ORPG in 2025-26, 4.4 in 2024-25). However, he may be upgraded overall as he is a far more efficient scorer than Robinson.

Last season, Ejiofor posted 17.3 points per game and shot 72% from the line. Robinson is a liability at the line after averaging 51% from the stripe for his career. The St. John’s big man could be an option for New York, with a higher possibility at 24, or 31, to open Round 2 of the draft.

New York Giants GM Joe Schoen could be fired soon, report suggests

The New York Giants revamped their coaching staff after hiring head coach John Harbaugh, but retained general manager Joe Schoen. This was a surprising move, as many around the NFL believed that Harbaugh wanted to bring in his own general manager. However, Shawn’s time in New York may soon be coming to an end.

There are those in the NFL who think Schoen could be fired as Giants general manager “this week,” as Pat Leonard of NY Daily News Sports reports. New York is coming off a successful 2026 NFL Draft, and it’s clear that Harbaugh’s fingerprints are all over the selections.

Schoen only has one year left on his contract, but he may not reach the finish line. Harbaugh reports directly to New York ownership rather than to Schoen, creating a different power structure than previously established. This has limited Schoen’s power in the organization, which is evident heading into the 2026 NFL Draft.

If the Giants move on from Schoen, it would allow Harbaugh to eventually bring in his own general manager. If not, Schoen will essentially have to take a one-year “trial” to see if he’s a long-term fit next to Harbaugh in New York. However, that could all end if the Giants give their general manager a new contract extension.

Right now, it seems like everything is on the table for the Giants after the 2026 NFL Draft. Schoen can stick around and work with Harbaugh or New York can fire him. Despite what Harbaugh said was important, Schoen still had input on a successful 2026 draft class.

It remains to be seen what happens next, but this could end Shawn’s tenure as Giants GM.

Report reveals WWE fans are scared of Pat McAfee and Jelly leaving the company

A new report suggests that WWE fans’ outcry about the company’s excessive use of celebrities has scared Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll out of taking part in a planned match next month.

While the Night 2 main event of WrestleMania 42 will be celebrated as a classic, the Night 1 headliner was controversial for many WWE fans. A few weeks before the event, occasional announcer and wrestler Pat McAfee was involved in a storyline between Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. TKO CEO Ari Emanuel reportedly made the random move in an effort to boost sluggish ticket sales for the two-night event.

McAfee’s surprise addition was loudly condemned by WWE fans. However, one reason for the backlash was audiences becoming tired of the company’s excessive use of celebrities at WrestleMania 42. Country music star Jelly Roll made a splash over the past month, and rapper Lil Yachty has been heavily used over the past few weeks.

Pat McAfee faces defeat in the face of WWE fan protests

Pat McCaffee
Credit: WWE

Well, that loud disappointment has been heard loud and clear, and it looks like WWE fans won’t be seeing McAfee or Jelly Roll again for a very long time. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, McAfee has refused to be the focus of the Night 1 main event and is planning a Rhodes-Jelly Roll vs. Orton-McAfee tag match at Backlash in May.

Meltzer claimed, “The thing is, they were both very aware of what was said about celebrities in wrestling.” “They both love wrestling, and I think they realized there was a lot of negative sentiment about it.”

So if you were one of those passionate fans loudly protesting WWE’s overuse of celebrities, the campaign was successful, and celebrities will be away from the company’s content for a while.

Report opens the door to a trade for George Pickens during the draft to the NY Giants or KC Chiefs

A new report has opened the door for the New York Giants or Kansas City Chiefs to move down in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, as well as land a Pro Bowl receiver.

We’re just hours away from Round 1 of the NFL Draft, one of the most exciting days on the NFL calendar. There is always speculation surrounding the annual event, but with this year’s QB class being weaker than usual, there is more talk about trades everywhere in Round 1.

One team that has been linked to a lot of trade discussions as of late is the Dallas Cowboys. They have two picks in Round 1, No. 12 and No. 20, respectively. A recent report suggests the front office is high on Miami’s Reuben Benn Jr. and Ohio State’s Caleb Downs. He has also been linked to Downes’ teammate Sonny Styles.

The Cowboys are expected to have all three off the board by 12. They can try to use two of their choices to reach the top five. But some doubt whether that would be enough for a rival club to give up a selection at that point in the draft. However, he may have another interesting trade feature: George Pickens.

During Wednesday’s edition of ESPN RiseNFL insider Adam Schefter said Dallas is “nowhere close” to an extension Pro Bowl receiver, and is projected to go in the top 10 for a player he is a fan of.

Should the NY Giants or KC Chiefs look for a first-rounder for George Pickens?

veteran
Lone Horwedel-Imagen Images

“They’re nowhere with George Pickens right now. Nowhere,” Schefter said. “They’re not really talking about an extension. They’re not close to an extension. They’re not making a deal at this point. That’s where the situation stands right now, and the Cowboys are said to really like Jordan Tyson. So it’s just another subplot in a draft full of them.”

After working out for teams last week, the Arizona State receiver has been linked to the Chiefs and Giants at picks No. 9 and No. 10 in Round 1. Once again, the Cowboys are out of range if they stick with their pick. However, if they want to move up for Tyson, Downs or Benn – players who could also end up in the top 10 – Pickens could be an interesting player to play.

The Giants would love the opportunity to acquire a weapon like Pickens for Jackson Dart. If the two NFC East rivals surprisingly agreed to a trade, perhaps pick 20 for Pickens and pick 10, and Kevon Thibodeaux would be the starting point for a deal.

The Chiefs would also love to get their hands on a game-breaking receiver like Pickens. It could be worth picking him and the No. 20 pick. Leaving Kansas City with two selections in the final 10 selections of Round 1.

The money side of the trade will also be an issue, but both teams will try to find solutions to get the player who posted 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns last year.

Report shows Illinois taking strict measures to prevent Chicago bears from moving to Indiana

The Illinois House of Representatives is considering legislation that would give the Chicago Bears a huge tax break to keep the team from moving to Indiana.

The idea of bears leaving the kingdom seems absurd. However, these are very different times for the NFL. With the value of teams and leagues at an all-time high, owners are looking to squeeze as much money as possible from venues, broadcasters and fans to maximize their money-making opportunities. The Kansas City Chiefs leaving Missouri in a few years to build a new stadium in Kansas shows that the franchise is prioritizing revenue over loyalty.

While the Bears should look higher than that due to their rich history in Chi-Town as one of the NFL’s original teams, they are already set to leave Chicago for a potential stadium in Arlington Heights, IL. However, the idea of leaving the state entirely has become very real in recent months as Indiana has made a serious effort to lure the iconic brand next door.

The idea has apparently struck fear in the hearts of Illinois natives and their state representatives, even though a stadium in Indiana would be quite close to the border of both states. Well, to avoid this possibility and anger its citizens, an interesting idea has come up in the capital.

Illinois may impose property tax moratorium on Chicago Bears stadium in Arlington Heights

According to the Chicago Sun Times, “State Rep. Kam Buckner, D-Chicago, plans to brief Illinois House Democrats on the new amendment Tuesday. The pilot measure, shorthand for payment in lieu of taxes, would allow the Bears to renegotiate their property taxes with Arlington Heights.”

The measure would have prohibited property tax assessments on land the Bears purchased in Arlington Heights for a potential stadium. Being able to build a state-of-the-art NFL stadium without having to worry about current property tax rates could save the Bears a tremendous amount of money. However, there is one issue.

As WGN 9 in Chicago reports, “Chicago lawmakers are hesitant in saying they want something in return for voting to have the Bears leave the city.” State Representative La Shawn Ford recently mentioned the need for some type of support on how the city uses Soldier Field if the Bears move to Arlington Heights.

The MPs are scheduled to meet over the next three days before taking a recess till May 4. It still must pass through the Illinois House of Representatives, but it’s a bold new step in the state’s efforts to avoid losing the Chicago Bears to Indiana.

Front page report Manchester United transfer ‘in jeopardy’ – Summer transfer requires big effort

Manchester United-owned Marcus Rashford is on loan at Barcelona
Manchester United-owned Marcus Rashford is on loan at Barcelona

Manchester UnitedMarcus Rashford is on loan at Barcelona and his future after this season remains uncertain.

The La Liga winners have agreed a €30m purchase option with Manchester United as part of a loan deal.

On April 1st, we broadcast news The buyout clause was valid until March 31, but others quickly rejected this claim.

Last week, Sports Witness Covered claims from Spain Rashford’s agent Arturo Canales will hold an ‘important meeting’ with Barcelona sporting director Deco to discuss his future.

The England international has scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 43 appearances so far this season.

His La Liga statistics are as follows:

  • Appearances: 26
  • Start: 15
  • Total minutes: 1,442
  • Minutes per game: 55
  • Target: 6
  • Assist: 6
  • Expected target: 6.49
  • Expected Support: 4.00
  • Big chances created: 6
  • Big chances missed: 9

Barca’s concerns with the Manchester United man

Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski are on today’s front page gameIn which ‘at risk’ is written in bold letters.

In the report, the newspaper said that the duo would have a ‘very difficult task’ to extend their stay at Barcelona beyond this season. Lewandowski’s contract expires in June while the Manchester United-owned player is on loan.

In January, Hansi Flick’s side began talks to extend the Englishman’s stay and considered a price tag of €30m to be a ‘deal’. However, the issue with the Red Devils is over his wages.

Sport say the forward earns €18m net per year at Manchester United, which Barcelona clearly can’t afford.

The attacker is ready to find different formulas such as spreading his current salary over a longer contract or even reducing his salary.

Game Status: ‘No matter how much it is reduced, the total cost of Rashford will be too high for a player who has not earned a starting place.’

Therefore, Barcelona can only retain him through another loan or if Rashford takes a significant pay cut. It is unclear whether he is willing to do the latter, but the Spanish giants have started looking for other wingers.

Manchester United is waiting for development

The Premier League team is waiting for Barcelona’s final decision on Marcus Rashford. If the Catalan club decides not to retain him, the player will return to Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick has opened the door for a return, while Manchester United are yet to make a decision on his future. He can only make a move if Barcelona will not buy him.

As things stand, Rashford’s permanent move to Camp Nou is ‘in danger’.

Report claims WWE is aiming to make another AEW star a free agent soon

According to Dave Meltzer at the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is already making internal plans to move Persephone once her current contract situation opens up.

The 24-year-old signed with AEW earlier this year under a rare dual-contract arrangement that also allows him to continue competing in CMLL, but with that deal set to expire at the end of the year, WWE is apparently keeping a close eye on him and is prepared to take action.

Meltzer claimed, “Those guys in WWE are already talking about trying to get Persephone when her dual contract expires later this year.”

WWE’s determination of interest is notable given the prior context surrounding his signing. Earlier this year it was clarified that the story that WWE had never spoken to Persephone while she was under contract with CMLL, meaning she chose AEW over WWE, was false – WWE was legally unable to take any action at the time. It appears the promotion has used that window to take a closer look at him rather than make a full-blown move, and internal discussions are reportedly underway before his deal expires.

Persephone’s dual-contract setup led to her signing AEW to one of the most unique arrangements in recent memory, allowing her to maintain her CMLL commitments while beginning her run with the promotion. However, there is a defined endpoint to that arrangement, and once that happens, given the interest that already exists on both sides, he could quickly become one of the most sought-after signings on the market.

For AEW, the situation raises an obvious question about long-term planning. If WWE is already talking internally about pursuing Persephone, there’s pressure on the promotion to move toward a long-term extension before that window opens.

Diana Russini’s Inside Future in Jeopardy Due to Mike Vrabel Scandal, Report Reveals

A new report suggests The Athletic probably won’t buy NFL insider Diana Russini’s denial of a possible affair with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

There are a number of nationally little-known NFL insiders who offer frequent reports on rumors and news straight from those who work for the various franchises. Men like Adam Schefter, Albert Breer, Ian Rapoport, and Mike Garafolo have become household names to football-loving fans. There are even fewer women who are star NFL insiders. The Athletic’s Diana Russini is one of them.

However, his credibility was largely questioned this week when the New York Post posted photos of him and Patriots coach Mike Vrabel getting very friendly at a high-priced resort in Arizona. Although it’s not a very good look, if they were single, consenting adults, the world would need to get used to it if they were developing a relationship.

Unfortunately, both are married. So, not surprisingly, these photos went viral and turned into a football scandal. However, both Russini and Vrabel quickly denied speculation of an NFL affair.

“The photos do not represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most NFL reporters, reporters interact with sources away from the stadium and other locations,” the insider said in a statement.

Could Diana Russini be snapped up by The Athletic this summer?

Diana Russini
kirby lee-image images

Following this revelation, The Athletic and their parent company, The New York Times, came full circle behind their star insider. Well, that’s not the case now. According to a report from Front Office Sports, the news outlet is now investigating the situation, and she “will not report” to them until the process begins. The report also states that his contract with The Athletic expires in August.

The fact that The Athletic did a complete 180 from support to investigation is very bad news for Russini. Plus, his past comments and rumors of other relationships with individuals inside the league resurfacing don’t help.

After becoming one of the top insiders in the NFL over the years, unless she is completely cleared of any questionable activities by her employer, her credibility in the industry will always be in question. And his brand may be forever damaged in the eyes of fans and football news outlets.

Report opens door for LA Lakers to trade LeBron with recent No. 1 overall pick

A new report has opened the door for the Los Angeles Lakers to replace LeBron James this summer with an excellent prospect and perhaps at a very affordable price.

The Lakers and James have some big decisions to make in the summer. The 22-time All-Star will become a free agent this offseason, and staying in LaLa land for another season is far from a lock. James is 41 and very near the end of his career, while L.A. has made a big pivot in making Luka Doncic the face of their franchise and building around the young star.

A case can be made to get James back on a competitive and financial footing. He is still playing at a high level, and the retirement tour would be worth big money to the organization. However, he will likely demand good money in his next contract, and many will be surprised if he is not a good fit for what the team wants to build. Either way, the front office must prepare for life after LeBron James, whether it’s this year or the summer of 2027.

The team has been linked to a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade this summer. However, they will have to consider an eventual extension for young star Austin Reeves. Keeping three big contracts is not in the team’s best interest, so they should look at different ways to use their money smartly to build the right team around Doncic.

Zachary Rishachar could be on the trade block this summer

lakers
Brett Davis-Imagen Images

Well, an interesting potential trade target who could replace James in the long term will likely become available very soon. This week, The Athletic’s John Hollinger pointed to the diminishing role of Atlanta Hawks prospect Zackary Risacher.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft was a starter for most of the season. However, in its final third, he was relegated to a bench role. Now, over the past few weeks, he has been completely out of Atlanta’s rotation as they make a run at the NBA Playoffs. Considering the Hawks have picked up their club option on Jonathan Kuminga, Rishachar has no role in the team despite his ability.

The Frenchman is a talented spot-up shooter with a strong basketball IQ. At 6-foot-9 and with his good athletic ability, he is a valuable defender who can guard multiple positions. But the big hurdle in his game is that he still needs to get stronger – which hurts his comebacks – and he still has a lot of work to do on his playing skills.

However, he has just turned 21 and has only played two seasons in the league. He’s far from a finished product, and with his price at a new low, the Lakers could land him in a trade without giving up big assets. If JJ Redick and the Lakers are looking for a moldable piece of clay at large, Rishaer should be a summer target to potentially replace James.

New report fuels speculation NY Knicks could soon fire Mike Brown

A new report suggests that even coaches from rival teams are confused by some of Mike Brown’s decisions with the New York Knicks’ starting lineup.

After winning 51 games and reaching the Eastern Conference Finals last spring, the Knicks made the bold and possibly hasty decision to fire head coach Tom Thibodeau. Feeling that they had gone as far as they could with the veteran coach, he had put in impressive performances under the stewardship of the roster.

When they could have acquired a top coach from another team, the Knicks brain trust chose former Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown to be Thibodeau’s successor. Yet with three games left in the regular season, the team has about the same number of wins as it did a year ago, and there will be more disappointment heading into the NBA Playoffs.

There are questions about the Knicks’ defense and Brown not adjusting his system to get more out of All-Star forward Karl-Anthony Towns. Another issue that has troubled fans and analysts is Brown’s resistance to making changes to the starting lineup when the team is struggling. He left the lineup with Towns and Mitchell Robinson in the front court in November and never returned to it. This is a decision that has confused some people throughout the game.

Rival coach criticizes NY Knicks head coach Mike Brown’s ‘stubbornness’

nix
petre thomas-imagen images

“It’s championship or bust mode for that team. I don’t know how Mike Brown hasn’t at least given some other lineups a look despite all the troubles they’ve had,” a rival assistant coach told Heavy’s Sean Deveney. “It’s a fine line between having the courage of your convictions and being frankly stubborn about it. They have enough problems. It wouldn’t hurt to be creative and see what that looks like.”

It is not a good thing for Brown that sometimes the possible solutions to some of his conflicts are obvious, yet he is unwilling to admit his mistakes and make changes.

If the Knicks don’t reach the NBA Finals or at least the East Finals, heads are going to be bowed. Certainly, they will try to make major changes to the roster. And team president Leon Rose could be removed. However, while it would be a bad look to fire the head coach for the second consecutive year, Brown continues to give management reason to throw him under the bus if the team disappoints this spring.

Report explains why Giannis really wanted to return, and it’s not a win for the Bucks

While Giannis Antetokounmpo is suggesting that his competitive fire is why he wants to return to the floor despite resistance from the Milwaukee Bucks, it seems like that may not be the real reason.

Drama has surrounded the Bucks for much of this season as trade rumors involving Antetokounmpo have never subsided as the team has been lackluster on the floor. Most people believed that things would calm down after he was not moved before the NBA trade deadline. Still this has not happened.

The situation has actually gotten worse as the Bucks look to find their way to a better selection in June’s NBA Draft. To make the best strategy, it would be best if Antetokounmpo sat out for the remainder of the season. This would be possible as he has battled illnesses throughout the season and suffered a severe left knee strain on March 15.

However, to the displeasure of the Bucks management, Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to get back on the field. His desire to compete and the team’s preference to sit him conflicted and led to an investigation by the NBA.

“Antetokounmpo rejected the Bucks’ request to shut down and told the team he planned to return when he felt healthy enough to play,” ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday. “On March 17, multiple sources said he pressed to play against the Jazz and told the team he believed he was healthy.

“The Bucks ruled him out, and their medical staff did not clear him to play. Antetokounmpo then told several people on the team that he expected to play later on the road trip (March 21 at Phoenix, March 23 at Los Angeles, March 25 at Portland), but he never returned to action.”

Did Giannis Antetokounmpo want to return to the Bucks because of Nike endorsement money?

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Milwaukee Bucks
Michael McAloon-Imagen Images

Since then things have been at a standstill. While he is trying to get back on the court for their home final on Friday and is looking forward to being on the court with his brothers, Thanasis and Alex, maybe that is why he is not so eager to get back on the court.

Charania reports, “Multiple sources said the Bucks’ decision to bench Antetokounmpo earned him a significant bonus in his Nike endorsement contract, which would have been triggered if he played at least 41 games.”

It’s unclear how much he lost, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it was more than six figures. Considering how much he has struggled to stay healthy this season, it would make sense for him to simply sit out and help get Milwaukee into a better draft position. But perhaps a big payday has led Antetokounmpo to clash with team officials over a return this season.

Will CM Punk be punished for the pipe bomb about the TKO? Major report came out

CM Punk revealed some unfiltered thoughts about WWE’s parent company on Monday Night Raw. But have those comments landed the world heavyweight champion in trouble?

The second to last WWE Raw before WrestleMania 42 got off to a hot start last night when Punk opened the show to express his thoughts on a few topics. Much of his promo was directed at his opponent on Night 2 of the two-night extravaganza the following weekend.

However, in the end, he surprisingly backed out and went after one-time announcer Pat McAfee. The popular podcaster and ESPN analyst went viral after returning to the company on last week’s SmackDown to criticize the company regarding alleged issues with the product and slow ticket sales for WrestleMania.

Well, this didn’t sit well with one face of the company as Punk attacked McAfee. He then suggested she call her “agent” and ask him to lower the ticket prices. The person he was referring to is the CEO of WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, who has pushed for McAfee to be added to WWE title storylines and is trying to make him a star in Hollywood.

The comments surprised many and led to speculation that Punk went off script and could be punished by TKO. Well, according to PW Insider Elite, it doesn’t seem possible at the moment, but Punk was speaking for several of his colleagues backstage.

The outlet reported, “We haven’t heard about any fallout from the promo, but we’re also told that what Punk said reflects the frustration backstage among the talent over the past several weeks.” “We have heard from many talents who have expressed frustration over the fact that ticket prices are so high, that there are so many tickets left for the top show of the year, and while there are so many seats available, talents are only being given two comp tickets for the night they are performing.”

Let us tell you that this year’s WrestleMania is being held in the same city Las Vegas like last year. This may affect interest in the arena as well as ticket prices which are as high as ever for the company.

Evgeni Malkin’s future with Penguins: New NHL report reveals

Evgeni Malkin’s future with the Pittsburgh Penguins could be one of the biggest stories of the 2026 NHL offseason. Malkin, who has been with the Penguins since the 2006 NHL Draft, is about to become a free agent. However, will the 39-year-old forward return to Pittsburgh?

Based on what he has been told, Josh Yohe of The Athletic believes this is Malkin’s last season with the Penguins. Malkin is no longer a 100-point player; However, he is capable of scoring at least 60 points per season. In fact, Makin has 59 points in 54 games during the 2025-26 season.

Yohe also believes Penguins general manager and president Kyle Dubas will make a major change in the summer of 2026, citing cap space, draft picks and the prospect pool. Still, Evgeni Malkin may not be in those plans for Pittsburgh, even if captain Sidney Crosby wants him to return next season.

The three-time Stanley Cup champions have been a major focal point of the Penguins over the past two decades, but that may be the end of his time in Pittsburgh. Ultimately, Malkin and the organization pushed their contract talks into the offseason, despite planning to discuss it during the Olympic break.

Malkin still wants to play in the NHL, so it doesn’t seem like he will retire from the game. The 39-year-old forward should draw interest from competing teams as he chases another Stanley Cup ring before his career ends. If the Penguins make a deep run in the Stanley Cup playoffs, it could also increase their chances of a return.

For now, the Penguins forward hopes to win another Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh. If not, Malkin could be on a new team during the 2026–27 season.

New report on Gary Bettman’s future as NHL commissioner amid retirement speculation

Gary Bettman became the first commissioner of the NHL in 1992, and he has been an amazing asset to the game. Over the years, Bettman has been criticized by fans for locking out workers, but he has been highly successful in expanding the NHL’s business enterprises. However, could the 73-year-old commissioner be retiring soon?

It appears that Bettman will remain as NHL commissioner for at least the next two seasons, despite speculation from general managers across the league, as Sportsnet’s Nick Kyprios reports. For now, Bateman is focusing on US broadcast rights and expansion into at least two more markets.

Houston, Atlanta, and New Orleans have been mentioned as possible expansion sites in the United States. Meanwhile, NHL fans are continuing to emphasize Quebec as a potential expansion location in Canada. More likely, the NHL will field two new franchises to maintain the best balance.

Once Bettman retires as NHL commissioner, there is already a good option to replace him. According to Kyprios’ report, NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly is a strong contender to become his successor. Some of Bateman’s responsibilities have already been transferred to Daly over the years.

Bettman is the only NHL commissioner in the history of the game, as the league had five presidents prior to 1992. Despite the controversies of three league lockouts, his handling of CTE/concussion lawsuits, the 2021 Chicago Blackhawks scandal, and the unpopularity of playoff formats, he has done a lot for the NHL that far outweighs the negatives.

There will come a time when Bettman will step back from his role as NHL commissioner, but for now, he plans to stick around for at least two more seasons. It will be very interesting to see what he achieves in his final years.

‘Excessive sweating’, new report reveals use of painkiller

New details have emerged in the case of Tiger Woods’ arrest following a rollover accident in Jupiter, Florida last week.

Last week, golf fans around the world feared the worst when a report emerged that 15-time major winner Tiger Woods was involved in a serious car accident. Despite his car being overturned in the accident, the 50-year-old man escaped with major injuries. However, this was far from the end of the story.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, it was soon learned that Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). This was the fourth time since 2009 that the golf icon was involved in a car accident.

Since Friday, various details about his arrest have leaked, including passing field sobriety tests and refusing blood/urine tests from arriving officers. The new information emerged Tuesday after ESPN obtained a probable cause affidavit from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the document, Woods claimed he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station, and did not realize that the car in front of him had slowed down. The golfer swerved, striking the vehicle in front of him, causing a rollover accident.

The affidavit states that Woods’ eyes were “bloodshot and glassy”, the pupils were “extremely dilated”, he was “sweating profusely” and was “lethargic and slow”. He agreed to perform field sobriety exercises and admitted that he took prescription pills, but claimed that he did not drink any alcohol.

Two hydrocodone pills – which are pain relievers – were found in Woods’ pants pocket. Although he passed field sobriety tests, a CNN report on Tuesday revealed that the reason he was arrested was a new Florida law passed in 2025 that automatically charges a person with a misdemeanor and license suspension if they fail to take any sobriety test requested by a police officer.

5 players included on New York vs. Hornets injury report

On Thursday night, the New York Knicks will take the field for a road game against the Charlotte Hornets. This will be a big test for the Knicks against a Hornets team that has been one of the best teams in the league since the beginning of 2026.

The Knicks have several players listed on the injury report, including Miles McBride, who will be out until he recovers from surgery, but James L. According to Edwards III, he could return as soon as this weekend. Meanwhile, Landry Shamet will also miss the game due to a tibial plateau injury in his right knee.

Trey Jamison III, Dillon Jones, and Kevin McCullers Jr. are all questionable due to being in the G-League.

For the Hornets, Pat Connaughton is questionable with an illness.

The Knicks have been playing some solid basketball lately, with Karl-Anthony Towns looking more comfortable in Mike Brown’s offensive system, and Jalen Brunson coming out of a brief shooting slump and returning to his All-Star form.

New York is currently third in the Eastern Conference, but not far behind the Boston Celtics for number two.

Meanwhile, the Hornets haven’t been able to make much headway in the conference standings due to the hot streaks of some of the other teams in the East, but make no mistake, they have been playing some better basketball over the past few months, thanks in large part to the emergence of rookie star Kon Nueppel as well as LaMelo Ball being able to overcome his injury concerns and stay on the floor.

There is sure to be an electric crowd in Charlotte on Thursday night when the Knicks and Hornets tip off at 7:00 pm ET.

Is Jalen Suggs playing tonight? magic vs kings injury report

The Orlando Magic have lost six straight games and will now host the Sacramento Kings on Thursday at the Kia Center. The losing streak came as the Magic played their best basketball this season en route to a seven-game winning streak.

They are still 10th in the East and within shooting distance of the playoff spots, and will now attempt to turn their fortunes around against a Kings team that has struggled to win in recent games as well. They have lost three of their last four matches and are struggling with several injuries themselves.

For the Magic, Jalen Suggs is on the official injury report due to illness. Suggs last played in a 105–104 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers, when he contributed 14 points and six assists. Orlando is also facing three other confirmed absences, although their injury list is shorter than the Kings’.

Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, Keegan Murray, Russell Westbrook, and De’Andre Hunter have all rounded out the supporting cast.

Jalen Suggs vs. Kings injury status

Suggs’ potential absence means the Magic can once again rely on the indispensable production of Paolo Banchero to get them over the line. Suggs has not featured in the last two matches and has been a key presence for his team when fit.

He’s averaging 13.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game and his production will be a big miss despite the Kings’ weak lineup. Paolo Banchero, who is averaging 22.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, recently became the fifth player in franchise history to record consecutive 35-point games.

Regardless, with Franz Wagner also sidelined, fans will be hoping Suggs can return to the lineup. Despite their mixed performance, the Kings have plenty of talent to test in Orlando.

DeMar DeRozan is averaging 18.2 points on 49.2% shooting, while Malik Monk is going 39.7% from three-point field, but struggled against the Charlotte Hornets last time out. Devin Carter and Maxime Renaud have also been in points in recent weeks, and their production could prove key to Sacramento once again competing.

The Magic completely defeated the Kings in their last meeting, winning 131-94, and will once again be looking for a comfortable win given the extent of Sacramento’s absences.

Is Jalen Johnson playing tonight? hawks vs pistons injury report

On Wednesday evening, the Atlanta Hawks will take to the road for a big game against the Detroit Pistons. This injury report includes Jalen Johnson, who is currently listed as questionable due to left shoulder inflammation. Here’s everything we know about Johnson’s injury and his playing status against the Pistons on Wednesday.

Jalen Johnson’s game status against the Pistons

Given his questionable designation on the injury report, there is currently some doubt as to whether Jalen Johnson will be able to appear in Detroit on Wednesday night. Johnson has missed the last two games for the Hawks due to illness and was seen wearing a sleeve over his left shoulder when he was on the court against the Houston Rockets last week.

Meanwhile, the Pistons have an injury report ahead of this matchup, with Cade Cunningham sidelined due to his collapsed lung, while Isaiah Stewart is also out with a calf strain. Marcus Sasser is questionable with a right hip strain, while Javonte Green is questionable with an ankle sprain.

Overall, the Hawks have been playing some better basketball over the past month, recently going on an 11-game winning streak, and then winning two in a row since that streak was snapped. Many of the wins have come against lesser competition, and even without Cunningham, the Pistons will present a very strong opponent for Atlanta, so they would certainly love to have Johnson back on the field and ready to go.

The Hawks are 0-3 against the Pistons so far this year.

In any case, tipoff between Atlanta and Detroit is scheduled for 7:00 pm ET from the Motor City. This game will be broadcast by ESPN.

New report is bad news for KC Chiefs fans wanting a Tyreek Hill reunion

A new report about a potential Kansas City Chiefs NFL Draft target is bad news for fans hoping for the return of longtime team great Tyreek Hill.

The Chiefs did not want to lose Hill after the 2021 season. After making him the 165th pick in the 2016 draft, the speedster developed into one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the NFL. And during his six seasons in Kansas City, Hill was a Pro Bowler every year and posted four seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving.

However, with great success also comes big paydays, and having the highest-paid pass catcher in the game did not help the team’s roster construction. So they decided to send him to the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2022 season for an impressive return of five draft picks, including a first-rounder.

Still, the Chiefs’ passing attack has never been the same since Hill left. That’s why, when he was cut by the Dolphins this offseason, many longtime KC fans expected the return of the greatest receiver in team history. But a new report on Wednesday suggests the franchise could be looking for a WR1 in the draft.

Kansas City Chiefs meet Carnell Tate

Grace Smith/IndyStar/USA TODAY Network via Imagen Images

Top wide receiver prospect Carnell Tate has upcoming meetings scheduled with the Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders, New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi reported Wednesday.

The Chiefs have the ninth overall pick in April, and there’s a real possibility they land the Ohio State pass catcher. The junior had a breakout year in 2025 as he had 51 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. For many draft experts, he is the best player at his position in 2026.

If the Chiefs select Tate next month, it would be highly unlikely they would sign Hill in NFL free agency.

Are Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Portis playing tonight? bucks vs blazers injury report

The Milwaukee Bucks visit the Portland Blazers on Wednesday night. Kyle Kuzma is on the injury report along with Bobby Portis, with both players listed as questionable. Kumza is dealing with a right Achilles injury, while Portis is dealing with a right wrist sprain after scoring 11 points and six rebounds in a 129-96 loss to the LA Clippers. With the Bucks shutting down Giannis Antetokounmpo for the season, here’s everything we know about Kyle Kuzma’s injury and his game status against the Blazers.

Injury status of Kyle Kumza, Bobby Portis

Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma has scored 10,000 career points, a milestone in his career, after last week’s 129-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Kuzma also finished with 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting, including three triples and two rebounds, in the Bucks’ 108–105 win against the Suns. However, the answer to whether or not Kyle Kuzma is playing tonight is probably yes.

Averaging 13.7 points and 6.4 rebounds on the season, Portis has stepped up amid the absence of Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo. He averaged 16.0 points on 50% shooting, including 46.7% from deep, and 6.0 rebounds throughout March.

Still, when the question comes up is Bobby Portis playing tonight against the Blazers, the answer is probably.

Is Brandon Ingram playing tonight? Raptors vs Clippers Injury Report

The Toronto Raptors play the final game of their five-game road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday at the Intuit Dome. They have gone 2-2 during that span and come into the game coming off a 143-127 win over the Utah Jazz.

Meanwhile, the Clippers are looking to improve from the .500 mark (36-36) and come into this game looking to complete a hat trick of wins. Last time out they emerged 129-96 winners, with Kawhi Leonard returning with 28 points and five rebounds. However, he is a suspect in this matter.

On the other hand, Raptors are also shorthanded and have many potential absences. Among them is none other than Brandon Ingram, who is listed as questionable on the official injury report due to inflammation in the heel of his right foot, a problem that kept him out of the win against the Jazz.

Brandon Ingram’s injury status vs. Clippers

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

Given that Brandon Ingram’s injury report is questionable, his availability for this late-night contest in Los Angeles remains uncertain. Ingram played against the Phoenix Suns, but had a bad night, scoring only six points in 27 minutes, while getting four rebounds and three blocks on 3-10 shooting. Toronto lost that game 120–98.

They enter this matchup at 40-31, which is good for 5th place in the East. The Raptors scored 143 points in their last game, while also recording a franchise-record 49 assists, showing they are capable of hurting defenses even without Ingram.

However, four of their starters finished with over 20 points, led by RJ Barrett, who returned with 27, while Scotty Barnes had a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists. Additionally, Ingram is averaging 21.6 points per game and if he misses his second consecutive game, Toronto will need players like Barrett and Barnes to take over offensive responsibilities.

Barrett has scored more than 20 points in 10 of his last 15 games, while Barnes is averaging 18.6 points per game for the season. This matchup presents a contrast in styles, with Toronto relying heavily on ball movement and assist-driven offense (third in the NBA at 29.1 assists per game), while Los Angeles relies on shot efficiency and halfcourt scoring.

Regardless, the Clippers have won six of their last eight games in the Intuit Dome, while averaging 127.3 points over that span. They also remain an efficient offensive unit, ranking among the league leaders in both field goal percentage (48.5%) and three-point shooting (36.5%), while also leading the NBA in free-throw percentage (82.6%).

LA also won the first meeting between the two sides this season, 121–117 in overtime. Still, Leonard is averaging 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists this campaign and L.A.’s ability to make that run may also depend on whether their best player plays.

Raptors injury report

Brandon Ingram – Questionable (right foot, heel swelling).

Emmanuel Quickley – doubtful (right foot; plantar fasciitis)

Jakob Poeltl – doubtful (back; injury management)

Chucky Hepburn – Out (G League Two-Way)

Elijah Martin – Out (G League Two-Way)

Is Kawhi Leonard playing tonight? Clippers vs Raptors injury report

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers will take the field for a home game against the Toronto Raptors. Kawhi Leonard is on the injury report, currently listed as questionable due to a left ankle sprain. Here’s everything we know about Leonard’s injury and his playing status on Wednesday against the Raptors.

Kawhi Leonard’s playing situation against the Raptors

LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (2) looks to pass against Sacramento Kings guard Russell Westbrook (18) during the first quarter at the Intuit Dome.
jonathan hui-imagen images

There is some doubt at the moment as to whether Kawhi Leonard will be able to compete against his former team on Wednesday, given his questionable designation on the injury report. Leonard played in the Clippers’ last game, a home win over the Milwaukee Bucks, and played well for the most part, but he has been on the injury report repeatedly over the past week due to an ankle ailment.

The injury report also includes Jordan Miller, who is questionable due to back pain.

For the Raptors, Brandon Ingram is questionable for this game due to heel inflammation, while Jakob Poeltl is also questionable due to management of a lower back strain injury. Immanuel Quickley is listed as questionable due to a planter.
He has fasciitis in his right foot.

Overall, the Clippers are looking to pick up as many wins as possible to improve their playoff position as the 2025-26 season enters its home leg.

The Clippers are currently in eighth place in the conference, and although it is unlikely they can move further than that, they are only half a game ahead of the ninth-place Portland Trail Blazers. Slipping up in that position would mean winning two play-in games to reach the playoffs, not just one.

In any case, the Clippers and Raptors are scheduled to tip off from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Wednesday at 10:30 pm ET.

Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart injury report for Pacers game

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will take the field to conclude their East Coast trip with a game against the Indiana Pacers. Marcus Smart and Rui Hachimura’s injury reports for this contest list Hachimura as questionable and Smart as questionable. Here’s everything we know about Smart and Hachimura’s injuries and their game status on Wednesday against the Pacers.

For the game against the Pacers, Marcus Smart is listed as questionable due to a right ankle injury. Hachimura has been named questionable with right calf soreness. Both Smart and Hachimura missed the Lakers’ last game, a loss against the Detroit Pistons that snapped the team’s nine-game winning streak. The Lakers also include Edou Thirou on the injury report, who is questionable due to knee soreness.

Meanwhile, the Pacers have several players listed on the injury report, with Andrew Nembhard, Pascal Siakam, Obi Toppin and Aaron Nesmith all listed as probable with various ailments. Meanwhile, Ivica Zubac will be out of the lineup with a rib fracture.

In theory, a game against the league’s worst Pacers should give Los Angeles a good chance at a comeback, although if all of Indiana’s prospects end up playing, it’s the same core that made it to the NBA Finals last year, except, of course, the injured Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pacers recently suffered an upset on the road against the Orlando Magic, so this is definitely not a game the Lakers will want to take lightly.

Los Angeles currently sits comfortably in third place in the Western Conference and will look to end their current road trip on a high note before returning to the Crypto.com Arena this weekend.

Is Joel Embiid playing tonight? 76ers vs bulls injury report

The Philadelphia 76ers will take the field for a home game against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday evening. Joel Embiid is on the injury report, currently listed as questionable due to a right oblique strain. Everything we know about Embiid’s injury and his playing status on Wednesday against the Bulls.

Joel Embiid hasn’t appeared in a game for the 76ers since late February as he’s been dealing with an oblique strain, so his upgrade to questionable on the injury report before the Bulls game is certainly an encouraging sign, even if he doesn’t ultimately suit up for it.

Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. will be out for the 76ers in this one, while Paul George is back in the lineup after serving a league-mandated suspension of 25 games. Quentin Grimes is questionable due to an illness.

Meanwhile, the Bulls have listed forward Anfernee Simmons as questionable due to a left ulnar styloid fracture, while Isaac Okoro is also questionable due to right patellofemoral pain syndrome. Guershon Yabusele is questionable with a left ankle sprain.

The 76ers are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference due to consecutive losses to both the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, and they are looking to bounce back after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder at home earlier this week.

Philadelphia is a game back from the Atlanta Hawks, who occupy the coveted number six seed in the conference, which represents an opportunity to avoid the play-in round altogether.

In any case, the 76ers and Bulls are scheduled to tip off from Philadelphia on Wednesday at 7:00 PM ET.

Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale on injury report for Nuggets clash

The Phoenix Suns host the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, and Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neal are both among the players on the team’s injury report. Allen is dealing with a knee injury and is listed as questionable, while O’Neal also has a knee injury but is listed as probable. Here’s everything we know about Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale’s injuries and their playing statuses heading into the Suns’ game against the Nuggets.

Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neal’s injury status vs. Nuggets

Given that Royce O’Neale is on the Suns’ injury report as probable, this generally indicates that he will be able to play. It’s just a waiting game until Sans makes the upgrade available to him. O’Neale has been sidelined for the last three games and has been a productive player for the Suns.

He has appeared in 69 games this season, including 64 starts, averaging just over 29 minutes per game. He averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals on 41.6 percent shooting from the field, 40.3 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 70 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

With Grayson Allen listed as questionable, his status is more unclear. He has been out for the last four games and likely won’t have any concrete updates until closer to tip-off.

He has appeared in 44 games, including 26 starts, at a pace of just over 29 minutes per game. He averaged a career-high 17.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 40.7 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from the 3-point line and 85.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Is Kon Knuppel playing tonight? Hornets vs Kings injury report

On Tuesday evening, the Charlotte Hornets will host the Sacramento Kings as they look to continue their home winning streak. Kon Knueppel is on the injury report for the Hornets, currently listed as probable for the game due to lower back soreness. Here’s everything we know about Knueppel’s injury and his playing status against the Kings.

Kon Knueppel’s playing status against the Kings on Tuesday

Daniel Kussin Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

Given his probable designation on the injury report, it seems more likely that Kon Nueppel will be able to suit up for the Hornets on Tuesday against the Kings. Knueppel played in Charlotte’s last game, a home blowout over the Memphis Grizzlies, and is putting together an excellent first season in the NBA, being viewed by many as the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award over former Duke teammate Cooper Flagg.

The Kings have a crowded injury report for this game, as Nick Clifford, Drew Eubanks, De’Andre Hunter, Zach LaVine, Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis and Russell Westbrook are already out with various injuries. Meanwhile, Precious Achiuwa and Killian Hayes are listed as questionable, while Dequan Plowden is likely with a sore right foot.

Overall, the Hornets are starting to move closer to the play-in standings in the Eastern Conference due to their current five-game losing streak to the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, although their chances of finishing in the top six of the Eastern Conference are beginning to diminish as the season reaches its home stretch.

It is extremely important that Service takes care of business against tank teams like the Charlotte Kings to maintain his standing in the standings.

Tipoff for the Hornets vs. Kings matchup is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.

Is Josh Hart playing tonight? Knicks vs Wizards injury report

The New York Knicks are currently on a five-game winning streak and will next host the Washington Wizards, who have lost 15 consecutive games. The Knicks lead the season series 2-0 and come into this game with a 93-92 win against the Brooklyn Nets.

New York is currently 46-25, in third place in the Eastern Conference, while Washington is 16-54, having last won on Feb. 20. The Knicks are allowing just 110.3 points per game (5th in the NBA), while Washington is allowing 123.8 points per game (29th).

In terms of injuries, the Knicks will be without Miles McBride and Landry Shamet, while Josh Hart is listed on the official injury report with a knee issue along with Tyler Kolek and Ariel Huckporty, according to a post on X by Steve Popper. For Washington, Leaky Black is sidelined with a left ankle sprain, while Justin Champagnie is unavailable as he serves a league suspension. The injury list also includes Anthony Davis (left finger sprain), Keyshawn George (left elbow sprain), Trey Johnson (right foot sprain), and Alex Sarr (left big toe capsulitis).

Cam Whitmore is also out with a serious right shoulder condition related to deep vein thrombosis, while Trae Young is out with lower back soreness and a right quad injury. After all, D’Angelo Russell is no longer with the team.

Josh Hart’s injury status vs. Wizards

New York Knicks guard Josh Hart (3) reacts to a call in the first quarter against the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden.
Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

Josh Hart is listed as questionable, leaving some uncertainty regarding his availability. He is averaging 12.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. New York enters this game as the clear favorite, finishing in the top five in both offensive rating (3rd) and defensive rating (5th). The Knicks are averaging 116.8 points per game, good for 10th in the NBA, while only allowing 110.3 points per game, fifth-fewest in the league.

They have already defeated the Wizards twice this season by margins of 17 and 31 points, and will once again be the favorites at home. Even if Hart doesn’t play, he has enough firepower to dominate the injury-plagued Wizards at home.

Washington’s struggles are reflected on both ends of the floor. The team is 25th in the NBA in scoring, averaging 112.5 points per game, and 27th in offensive rating. Defensively, the Wizards allow 123.8 points per game, which ranks 29th in the league, and they have the worst defensive rating overall.

Player injury report for Spurs game in Indiana shocking

After the Indiana Pacers lost Ivica Zubac for the season due to a rib fracture, there is an extended injury report for Saturday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. The Pacers are listed with 11 players, including Tyrese Haliburton, who is out the entire season, Johnny Furphy, who tore his right ACL, and Zubac. The rest of the Pacers players mentioned on the extended injury list are listed as questionable.

Aaron Nesmith, who finished with 15 points in a 127-119 loss to the Portland Blazers, is dealing with a right ankle injury that could force him to sit. Ben Shepard, who is dealing with a left ankle sprain, is also questionable to face the Blazers. Shepard and Quenten Jackson, both dealing with right calf strains that faced the Blazers on Wednesday, also could miss Saturday’s game against the Spurs.

Zubac broke out with 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 23 minutes in Wednesday’s matchup against the Blazers. The Pacers announced Zubac’s diagnosis the next day. He averaged 11.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in his five games with Indiana since his trade from the LA Clippers.

Victor Wembanyama added late to injury report for Pacers game

The San Antonio Spurs take on the Indiana Pacers at home on Saturday night. Victor Wembanyama is on the injury report along with Stephen Castle. Vembanyama is struggling with pain in his right ankle, while Castle is already out with right hip tightness. Here’s everything we know about Victor Wembanyama’s injury and his status in the game against the Pacers.

Victor Wembanyama’s injury status vs Pacers

While Castle has already been ruled out, Wembanyama is considered doubtful for Saturday’s contest between the Spurs and Pacers. His status will remain unclear until San Antonio announces his potential availability prior to tip-off. Victor Wembanyama has said he wants to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year so he can push to play on Saturday night.

The Spurs are currently firmly in second place in the Western Conference, as they are just three games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. Given that the Pacers have the worst record in the NBA (15–55), this game is not considered a marquee matchup.

Victor Wembanyama has been a monster for Spurs all season. The three-time All-Star is averaging 24.3 points (career-best), 11.1 rebounds (career-best), 2.9 assists and 3.0 blocks (league leader) per game. He also has an impressive 50.6% field goal percentage while shooting 35.7% from beyond the three-point line (career-best).

Wembanyama played in the Spurs’ last game which ended in a 101–100 victory over the Phoenix Suns. The third-year veteran finished that contest with 34 points, 12 rebounds, one assist and three steals. That win clinched a playoff spot for San Antonio.

So, when the question comes whether Victor Wembanyama is playing against the Pacers tonight, the answer remains up in the air.

Mitchell is nursing a left eye injury, while Allen is suffering from right knee tendinitis. Here’s everything we know about Donovan Mitchell’s injury and his playing status against the Pelicans.

Donovan Mitchell’s injury status vs. Pelicans

Given that Donovan Mitchell is listed as questionable on the Cavaliers’ injury report, it is difficult to predict whether he will play in Saturday’s contest against the Pelicans. Mitchell made NBA history with a hat-trick of career accomplishments in a single game. With the 20+ point performance he reached 15,000 career points, surpassing Mark Price for sixth most in franchise history, and scored his 200th 3-pointer of the regular season.

Still, Mitchell’s eye injury forced him to sit out Thursday’s 115-110 win against the Bulls. While the Cavs have won their last two games, they are 6-4 in their last 10 contests. With only 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Cavs (43-27) are one of the few teams that can overtake the Knicks for third place in the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks (46-25) hold a 2.5-game lead. The Cavs have distanced themselves from the fifth-seeded Raptors (39-30) in recent weeks, powering the Eastern Conference’s top-4 squads during the fourth quarter of the regular season.

Mitchell finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in his last outing against the Bucks. As for whether Donovan Mitchell is playing tonight against the Pelicans, the answer is probably.

Cavs injury report

Jarrett Allen – Out – Right knee; tendinitis

Craig Porter Jr. – Outside – left groin; strain

The San Antonio Spurs face the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night and Stephen Cassel is at the center of the injury report. He is listed as questionable due to right hip tightness, putting the Spurs guard in focus as the team looks to extend its four-game winning streak.

On the other hand, the Pacers are struggling with heavy injury reports. Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) and Jonny Furphy (ACL) are out with Ivica Zubac (rib). Several players are listed as questionable, including Quenton Jackson, TJ McConnell, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith and Pascal Siakam.

The Spurs are looking to stay sharp. Pacers are looking for any pace. So when it comes to whether Stephen Cassel is playing tonight against the Pacers, the answer is uncertain. His status is questionable, and his availability will depend on pregame evaluation.

Is Kawhi Leonard playing tonight? Clippers vs Mavericks Injury Report

The Los Angeles Clippers face the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night and Kawhi Leonard is once again at the center of the injury report. He is listed as questionable with a sprained left ankle, putting the Clippers’ star in focus as the team tries to end a four-game losing streak and stay in the play-in race.

The Clippers entered the matchup at 34–36, No. 9 in the Western Conference, looking to regain momentum. Dallas, meanwhile, comes in at 23-47, No. 13 in the West, trying to snap a two-game losing streak. Here’s everything we know from the injury report about Kawhi Leonard and his game status vs. the Mavericks.

Kawhi Leonard has continued to be elite this season. He averaged 28.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 54 games. He is shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three, as well as 89.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Additionally, Leonard continues to dictate the game on both ends. He makes his shots with ease and holds the Clippers defensively. His presence sets the tone and provides structure to Los Angeles in high-pressure moments.

Kawhi Leonard’s injury status vs. Mavericks

The Clippers’ injury report makes Leonard’s situation particularly important. Bradley Beal (hip) is out with injuries, while Benedict Mathurin (toe) and Yannick Konan Niederhauser (foot) remain sidelined. Los Angeles can’t afford to lose another key piece as it struggles to stay in the play-in picture.

The Mavericks, on the other hand, are dealing with key absences. Kyrie Irving (knee) and Derek Lively II (foot) are out along with Brandon Williams (concussion). Several players are listed as questionable, including Caleb Martin (heel), Moussa Cisse, John Poulakidas and Tyler Smith.

The Clippers are looking for stability. The Mavericks are trying to stop the decline. So when it comes to whether Kawhi Leonard is playing tonight against the Mavericks, the answer is uncertain. His status is questionable, and his availability will depend on pregame evaluation.

Is Naz Reid playing tonight? Timberwolves vs. Trail Blazers injury report

The Minnesota Timberwolves (43-27) are struggling with only three weeks remaining in the regular season, two games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for third place in the West and one game behind the Denver Nuggets for sixth place. This group has advanced to the conference finals from both those positions, so seeding may not be necessary. Still, home-court advantage in the first round could be a welcome boost. But will the squad be healthy enough to accomplish this?

Anthony Edwards is dealing with knee inflammation and could miss a few weeks, leaving a larger offensive burden on the shoulders of Julius Randle. Minnesota is deep enough to handle the absence of its franchise cornerstone for a limited amount of time, but another key player is also dealing with injury. Nazi Reed missed Wednesday’s 147-111 win over the Utah Jazz with a right ankle sprain and could be out again in Friday’s home game against the Portland Trail Blazers (34-36).

The former Sixth Man of the Year (could also win the award this season) is averaging 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest, while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from 3-point land. Already without Edwards, the Timberwolves’ offense will be stretched thin if Reed is stuck on the bench. Ergo, the 26-year-old forward’s status for the Blazers clash is of great interest to the fan base.

Naz Reid’s status for the Timberwolves-Blazers game

According to the NBA’s latest injury report, Reed is listed as questionable. If he is sidelined, Minnesota will likely rely on Randle, Jaden McDaniels and Donte DiVincenzo to provide adequate offense. Portland has certainly been able to take advantage of Wolves’ misfortune.

The Blazers are battling the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors for the eighth spot. Earning extra lives is obviously important in the NBA Play-In Tournament, so fans should expect this team to enter Goal Center with obvious intensity. However, Portland itself is shorthanded.

Shadon Sharp has been out since the beginning of February after suffering a stress reaction in his left fibula. The Trail Blazers can hold their own without an explosive guard, and the Timberwolves believe they can do the same without Anthony Edwards, at least in this game. However, an inactive Naz Reed could stand in the way of their victory.

Timberwolves fans are hoping they get some good news before the action tips off at 8 pm ET.

Given that Jalen Duren is questionable on the Pistons’ injury report against the Warriors, he’s likely to be a game-time decision. The last time Duren missed a game due to injury was on February 6. Is Trae Young playing tonight? wizards vs pistons injury report

The Washington Wizards face the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night and Trae Young is once again at the center of the injury report. He has been officially listed as out due to a right quad contusion, putting the Wizards’ key guard in focus as the team tries to break a brutal 13-game losing streak.

The Wizards enter the matchup at 16-52, No. 14 in the Eastern Conference, with their season essentially out of reach. Meanwhile, the Pistons are 49-19, ranked No. 3 in the West, looking to win consecutive games. Here’s everything we know from the injury report regarding Trae Young and his game status vs. the Pistons.

Even in limited action this season, Young has remained productive. In 15 games, he averaged 17.9 points, 8.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds. He’s also shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Young has continued to run the offense and create opportunities for his teammates. However, Washington is still struggling to find stability on both ends.

Without him, the Wizards lose a primary playmaker. They face even less margin for error. That challenge only increases against a surging Detroit team.

Trae Young’s injury status vs. Pistons

What makes Young’s absence particularly glaring is the Wizards’ injury report. Bilal Koulibaly (foot) and Alex Sarr (toe) are both questionable, while Anthony Davis, Keyshawn George and Cam Whitmore are all out. D’Angelo Russell is not with the team and Leaky Black is also out of the team.

On the other hand, the Pistons are also struggling with injuries. Cade Cunningham (back) and Isaiah Stewart (calf) are out, while several players are unavailable due to G League assignments. Still, Detroit has maintained strong momentum behind its depth and execution.

Washington is simply trying to stop the decline. Detroit wants to stay sharp and stack wins. So when the question comes whether Trae Young is playing against the Pistons tonight, the answer is no. He has been officially dismissed. His absence adds another challenge for a Wizards team searching for answers. The season is also ending.

Is Kawhi Leonard playing tonight? Clippers vs Pelicans Injury Report

The LA Clippers are in the midst of a three-game road trip, currently the second night of a back-to-back set on Thursday night in New Orleans and the fifth game in a tough five-on-seven stretch for the team.

Seven-time NBA All-Star Kawhi Leonard returned Wednesday night after a one-game absence and played against the Pelicans. Leonard was previously unable to participate in Monday night’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs due to a left ankle sprain suffered in Saturday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

Leonard left the Kings’ game in the fourth quarter and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game. Kawhi Leonard made a quick recovery in time to play on Wednesday night, but will the game be played again on Thursday night?

Here’s everything we know about Kawhi Leonard’s injury status for tonight’s game vs. the Pelicans.

Kawhi Leonard’s injury status vs. Pelicans

Kawhi Leonard was listed as “doubtful” to play in the Clippers’ first contest against the Pelicans, and was eventually upgraded to available. The Clippers’ injury report for Thursday night has Leonard once again listed as “questionable” for the game with a left ankle sprain. This is the second night of back-to-back sets after recovering from injury, so Leonard will be in high gear.

Just before the game, the LA Clippers announced that Leonard had been ruled out of the game. The franchise has historically had a cautious history with the two-time NBA Finals MVP, but Leonard has placed an emphasis on playing as many games as possible, especially when the team is fighting for playoff position.

Worth watching is that guard Darius Garland has been ruled out of Thursday night’s game with a left big toe injury. He has not played a consistent match since his return and there is no reason to believe he will do so any time soon this season.

Kawhi Leonard has a bad reputation among NBA fans due to his unfortunate injuries, but he has played in both halves of nine back-to-back sets during the 2025-26 regular season with the Clippers, demonstrating his ability to stay healthy and produce at a high level. In previous years, the Clippers have kept him out of back-to-back sets due to serious injuries, such as a torn ACL that ended his 2021 and 2022 postseasons, a torn meniscus that cut his 2023 postseason short, and knee inflammation that caused him to miss the 2024 postseason.

Leonard has been mostly healthy this season and has played in 54 of the Clippers’ 69 games so far. Leonard missed 10 of the 15 games due to a severe right ankle sprain he suffered in November. Despite suffering a left ankle injury against the Spurs, Leonard finished with his 45th straight game of 20+ points, surpassing Bob McAdoo and setting a new franchise record. Leonard scored 25 points with eight rebounds on 9-of-12 shooting from the field on Wednesday, extending his streak of 20+ point games to 46, the second-longest active streak behind Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

“Passing McAdoo is a huge accomplishment,” Tyronn Lue recently said of Kawhi Leonard. “He was a really good player, great player, and it says a lot about Kawhi. When he’s healthy, you know, what he’s done this year is crazy. Someone asked the other day, ‘Have you seen anybody do that in their 14th season, which is more than what they’ve averaged their entire career?’ And I said, ‘No, I’m not surprised.’ Because I see the work he does every day. I see what he does every night to get on the floor and try to play. He plays as healthy as he is. And it may take him a long time to do so.

This season, the Clippers are 30-24 in the 53 games that Kawhi Leonard has played and 4-11 in the 15 games he has not played. They’re also 0-3 in the three games Leonard has missed due to injury in the fourth quarter – against the Heat, Lakers and Kings.

Leonard is averaging 28.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 50.4 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from three and 89.8 percent from the free-throw line. 28.2 points are the highest in his career.

The Clippers posted a 34–35 record, turning their season around and going 28–14 since starting the season 6–21. However, they have lost three games in a row and could face a fourth straight loss when they take on the Pelicans without Leonard and Garland.

clippers injury report

The Clippers have five players listed on the injury report for Wednesday’s game.

  • Kawhi Leonard (left ankle sprain): Out
  • Darius Garland (left toe injury management): out
  • Bradley Beal (left hip fracture): Out
  • Yannick Konan Niederhauser (right Lisfranc ligament rupture): out
  • Benedict Mathurin (recovering from right toe injury): Out

pelicans injury report

The Pelicans have five players listed on the injury report for Wednesday’s game.

  • Trey Alexander (G League – Two Way): Out
  • Hunter Dickerson (G League – Two Way): Out
  • Bryce McGowens (fractured right little toe): out
  • Dejounte Murray (right Achilles injury management): out
  • Josh Oduro (G League – Two Way): Out

The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Clippers 124-109 in their last game on Wednesday night. Thursday’s game between the Clippers and Pelicans is the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season.

Report Details Minnesota Vikings Concern That Could Make Kyler Murray’s Signing a Disaster

A new report explains why the running back problem for the Minnesota Vikings could spell disaster for Kyler Murray in 2026.

After a tremendous sophomore season, the Vikings could not deny that they needed a secondary option behind young quarterback JJ McCarthy. However, when the Arizona Cardinals decided to waive two-time Pro Bowler Kyler Murray, Minnesota was given the option to take a player who could do more than just compete with McCarthy for the starting job.

Since the signing, there has been much discussion among NFL pundits that Murray could return to his Pro Bowl form under head coach Kevin O’Connell and lead the Vikings to the Super Bowl the following season. However, a new report from The Athletic’s Jacob Robinson dashes those grand expectations.

In Thursday’s newsletter, the football analyst reported that, in general, the Vikings’ offensive line has performed poorly over the past few seasons, and their interior has been a particular weakness. That’s bad news for Murray, the shortest QB in the league.

“Internal pressure wreaks havoc on an undersized quarterback like the 5-foot-10 Murray,” Robinson writes. “Small passers need extra space to see their linemen and good throwing lanes to get the ball out. That’s why the Panthers invested heavily in the interior for Bryce Young, as the Saints did with Drew Brees.”

The Minnesota Vikings’ offensive line could be much better in 2026

vikings

Internal concerns with the smaller QB are a good reason to believe Murray could have a bad first season in Minnesota. Especially when he has struggled with injuries over the last few years and hasn’t looked like a Pro Bowler for quite some time.

However, Robinson did not just bring bad news and offered legitimate hope. First, he reported that “the injuries are gone.” [the offensive line] There were 26 different combinations last season.” Additionally, they have a new coach in Keith Carter, and notable talent on the O-line.

Robinson wrote, “Left tackle Christian Darrisaw and guard Donovan Jackson were selected in the first round. On the right side are high-paid guard Will Friesz and tackle Brian O’Neill.” He also said that Murray’s ability to extend the play due to his athleticism is something that Vikings QBs have been lacking recently.

When it comes to the question of whether Donovan Mitchell is playing tonight against the Bulls, the answer is probably. Mitchell’s name was not included on the injury report until the afternoon due to a left eye injury. There was plenty of bloodshed in the Cavs’ win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

“I can’t really see out of my left eye tonight,” Mitchell said after a 19-point performance on 4-of-14 from the floor. Their focus was on making an impact with the ball and on the glass while Evan Mobley and James Harden continued to build their chemistry.

Cleveland will also be without Jarrett Allen for the seventh consecutive game, and based on the latest update we know he will be sidelined again on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Craig Porter Jr. is expected to be out at least a week with a left groin strain, while Tyrese Proctor has still not been cleared to play because of a right quadriceps strain.

No surprises on the Bulls’ injury sheet. Zach Collins, Jaden Ivey and Noah Esengue are out of action, while a pair of their two-way players are on assignment with the G League Windy City.

Why did Wendell Carter Jr. discuss the injury report late vs. Hornets?

The Orlando Magic will be without center Wendell Carter Jr. on Thursday night after he was sidelined with a mild left rib injury ahead of their game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Orlando (38-30) announced an update on its latest injury report on Thursday afternoon, giving Carter Jr. a late opportunity as the team prepares for tipoff at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBA TV. His absence adds to an already lengthy injury list as the Magic face major rotation losses heading into the season.

Carter Jr. last appeared in a 113-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, where he recorded 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes. He made 3 of 9 shots from the field and converted 5 of 6 free throw attempts in the contest.

The 26-year-old has been a consistent presence for Orlando throughout the season. In 65 games, he has averaged 11.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, while shooting 50.6% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range in 29.6 minutes per contest. His interior presence and rebounding have played a vital role in the Magic’s frontcourt stability.

The absence of Carter Jr. further diminishes Orlando’s depth in the frontcourt. The team’s injury report also lists Anthony Black (left lateral abdominal strain), Jonathan Isaac (left knee sprain) and Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain/injury management) out. With several starters and rotation players sidelined, Orlando will be forced to rely on their remaining available personnel to fill key minutes.

Magical way to stabilize the standings without Wendell Carter Jr. vs. Hornets

The Magic entered Thursday’s contest looking to stop a two-game losing streak and reclaim a spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Orlando drops to the sixth seed and is one game behind the Toronto Raptors (39-29) for fifth place. The team is also 3.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers (42-27) in the race for the fourth seed.

Charlotte (35-34) presents a competitive challenge as it continues to dominate the Eastern Conference standings. With both teams fighting for a postseason berth, availability and depth could prove decisive.

Following the matchup against the Hornets, Orlando will return home to begin a two-game homestand. That streak begins Saturday night against the Los Angeles Lakers (44-25), who are on a seven-game winning streak.

As the regular season enters its final stretch, the Magic’s ability to manage injuries while maintaining consistency will continue to be important. Carter Jr.’s late start underscores the challenges facing Orlando as it looks to stabilize its rotation and stay within reach of a higher seed in the Eastern Conference.
