Fears Liverpool will cancel summer transfers – demand for high, intense weeks to come

Alisson signs a new deal liverpool Two months ago, but Juventus has not given up on the goalkeeper.

The Brazil international’s contract now expires in 2027, giving the Reds more control over the player.

sports witness The Italian media have covered Alisson’s move positively. Juve could also offer a player in the deal, which could potentially make things easier.

But there is talk that the Old Lady may struggle to pay the full package of a transfer. This includes the player’s salary and signing-on fee, even though Alisson has expressed openness to returning to Italy.

Now, Liverpool’s stance is becoming clearer and a summer move is becoming more difficult.

Reds blamed for transfer struggle

tuttosport Alisson’s move to Turin is reportedly gaining momentum by the day. Juve is in constant contact with the Brazilian squad.

But when Liverpool is mentioned the report contradicts itself. Their demands will be the ‘main basis’ of any move but negotiations between the two sides are expected to be difficult.

With intense weeks of discussions ahead, Ellison is said to be keen on a deal. This makes the move look promising but it will be difficult for Liverpool to deal. Their price tag has not been mentioned, but it is believed that the deal will be expensive and will require further discussion.

The Old Lady are desperate for a goalkeeper, with Michele Di Gregorio’s future in doubt. His exit in the summer will make signing the stopper a priority over the next few months.

Our take: Deal probably won’t happen

It seems that Tuttosport is working in its classic way which favors Juve, even if their information is contradictory.

This is also mainly due to Alisson’s entourage, who could push for a transfer. This does not mean that the 33-year-old will definitely leave Liverpool and Juve will have to pay a significant package to afford him.

The Italian media have mentioned the idea of swapping Di Gregorio, but ideally the Italian would like to be first choice. he wouldn’t want to hang out with Giorgi Mamardashvili is making things difficult for the ex-Monza player.

There has been increasing interest from Wolves and Stoke City in recent weeks – the club would not object to a sale

Aliu Njie has shown flashes of talent this season, leading to Torino youngster being promoted wolves And Stoke City.

The 20-year-old has one goal and one assist in the campaign, having played 11 times in Serie A. He impressed off the bench against Inter Milan at the weekend, helping Il Toro pull off an incredible comeback from 2–0 down and get a point from the tie.

The talent has mainly been on the bench, used only when attacking is needed.

Attention is now increasing on the forward, with Wolves and Stoke City tracking his progress.

interest has only increased

La Stampa – relayed by CuoreTororeport that Torino manager Roberto D’Aversa’s use of a 3-5-2 has stunted Aliu Njie’s development somewhat.

He is a wide forward by nature and does not fit into a traditional 3-5-2 setup. Despite this, he managed to impress the Italians, also performing well against Cremonese.

This progress has attracted the attention of Wolves and Stoke City, who are monitoring his development. There’s a good chance they’ll approach it with an attitude in the summer.

At the moment, it seems unlikely that Sweden will have any future under D’Aversa. This is why Torino will consider his exit, as Ng’s current contract expires in 2029.

torino is a selling club

Il Toro is historically known as a selling club in Serie A. In fact, the club’s fans have often publicly protested against this image but it has had no impact on the way owner Urbano Cairo sees things.

This is why NG can go ahead if a suitable offer comes. The 20-year-old player is not a regular and needs game time.

Since Ng is a product of Torino’s youth academy, his sale would give them a capital gain.

Chelsea will miss out on signing with Barcelona – midfielder to travel to Spain in ‘coming weeks’

chelseaBarcelona and some other clubs are chasing JMG academy rising star Seydou Dembele.

The midfielder’s performances for Mali U17 have drawn attention from some European clubs, including the Blues.

The interest from Chelsea and Barcelona is not new, and both took a look at him just over a year ago. Last April, Sports Witness broadcast news The Club World Cup winners are making an offer for the 18-year-old.

Two months ago, we broadcast news Barcelona and Manchester United are battling for the young midfielder.

He starred for his country at the 2025 U17 AFCON, which they lost to Morocco in the final. The youngster also impressed at the U17 World Cup, where they again lost to Morocco, this time in the last 16.

His statistics at the U17 AFCON and U17 World Cup:

  • Start: 11
  • Target: 4
  • Assist: 5

Chelsea will miss the young player

Africa Foot Now cover the latest Premier League information in a report focused on Barcelona.

Seydou Dembele has long been tipped for a move to Chelsea, but Liam Rosenior’s side are going to miss him.

He is now expected to join the Camp Nou squad and the teenager is expected to travel to Spain in the ‘coming weeks’ to seal a move there.

Barça signed his compatriot Ibrahim Diarra last year and he is part of their reserve team. Hansi Flick’s side are looking to add another Malian to the Barcelona B squad soon.

Chelsea were willing to make an offer of €1.5m. The report made no mention of why the Blues could not make progress on their lofty goal. Fenerbahçe also had him on their radar, but now Barcelona seems to be his next destination.

Our opinion: Barça’s plan could have been important

Considering the financial conditions, the La Liga winners will not be able to compete with Chelsea.

Barcelona’s project and their plan for Seydou Dembélé could potentially reassure them, both in the short and medium term. It should be made clear if this move goes ahead in the next few weeks.

Bournemouth talks have been going on for three weeks – doctor’s recommendation key

bournemouth

bournemouthTalks with Marco Rose have been going on for three weeks as they prepare him to replace Andoni Ierola.

BILD report on the 49-year-old’s imminent move to BournemouthIncluding the person who recommended her to Cherries.

Bournemouth’s next manager

It appears that Marco Rose is the man Bournemouth have chosen to replace Areola this summer. Reports throughout this week have indicated Now a deal has been agreed for his transfer in the summer.

Ierola announced on Wednesday that he would be leaving Bournemouth this summer. His contract expires at the end of the season, and the Spaniard has decided to move on.

BILD reports that talks have been ongoing with Rose ‘for the past three weeks’. According to his information, now a basic consensus has also been reached. This information has also been given elsewhere.

The interesting aspect is that Rose is still under contract with RB Leipzig. The German side sacked him in March last year, but his contract runs until June 30th This year. Thus, he will likely not move to Bournemouth before that point.

a doctor’s recommendation

According to BILD, Marco Rose’s name was presented to Bournemouth by Leipzig’s former head team doctor, Dr. Percy Marshall.

He made it clear to the Cherries that Rose is keen to return to the touchline next season. He has been keeping himself away from the public eye for the last few months but is now ready to make a comeback.

Marshall has been working as Bournemouth’s medical and performance director since July last year. Again, he was in a good position to recommend Rose.

That wouldn’t be Leipzig’s only reunion, either. Rose also previously worked with Tyler Adams, Justin Kluivert and Amin Adly. Presumably, Bournemouth have considered this.

Then again, it seems Rose’s move to Bournemouth is no quick deal. In fact, Cherry has been working on it for some time, courtesy of a recommendation from March

Brighton have been trying to secure talks ‘for weeks’ – with the club ‘repeatedly’ blocking efforts

brighton and hove albion Saeed El Mala has been under pressure for almost a month to start formal negotiations, but 1. FC Köln are determined.

Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger Report Today on the 19-year-old forward, including comments from sporting director Thomas Kessler, who is becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation.

Brighton is pushing, Köln is resisting

According to the newspaper Brighton, efforts have been made to arrange a negotiating meeting in Cologne ‘for weeks’, under the leadership of Fabian Herzeler.

His interest is said to be constantSaeed has been targeting El Mala since last summer. But Colon is ‘consistently blocking’ efforts to move the discussions forward.

The reason is twofold. The German side want a much higher fee than what Brighton have shown willingness to pay. His demand is reportedly €50m, while Brighton’s cap limit is €35m.

Koln also wants to focus solely on their fight to avoid relegation from the Bundesliga. They are currently six points off the bottom two after 28 games.

Kessler: “We don’t have any serious proposals”

Koln has been away from Brighton since last summer. This includes Seagulls owner Tony Blom being reprimanded by FC Köln supervisory board head Lionel Souk.

He told Bloom, “I’m a fruit and vegetable salesman, you’re obviously a poker player. This conversation won’t work between us.”

Now sports director Thomas Kessler also wants to put an end to the rumours. He insisted that the club had not yet received any serious bid for their star player.

“We maintain a very trusting and close relationship with Said and his family,” he said.

“At the moment, we have not received any offers from other clubs that we need to seriously consider. The player has also not expressed any desire to engage in discussions with other clubs.”

“Said has made it abundantly clear that his entire focus is currently on FC Köln and their development over the season.”

Kessler also dismissed the idea of setting a price: “No, we have not set a price.”

brighton risk looking desperate

For Brighton, the situation is now looking even more bleak. Four weeks of unanswered tries paint a picture of a club perhaps pushing harder than the situation requires.

The Colons are definitely not bowing out. In fact, they seem to enjoy being able to say no. Each rejection, at this point, only serves to strengthen their leverage.

Brighton’s persistence suggests El Mala is their top target this summer and talk of a €35m cap hit only seems unsubstantiated given the efforts being made to bring negotiations to fruition.

If anything, it all feels a little depressing, which is not a position Bloom and Brighton typically take.

The Chicago Bears received bad NFL Draft news a few weeks before the event.

The Chicago Bears made some stealth-solid moves in the offseason, but ultimately took L off the field. They lost a key piece of the front office when Ian Cunningham applied for the Atlanta Falcons GM job, and now the comp pick they’re counting on? Yep… looks like there’s no action to be taken.

Chicago was hoping the NFL would give them a compensatory pick after Cunningham opted out. However, since Matt Ryan is running the show as president of football ops in Atlanta, Cunningham does not technically hold the role of top football authority.

The NFL has just made it official. No compensatory selection. Case closed. According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin on X, the league told Chicago that their appeal did not remove the chains: Cunningham’s opting out is not eligible for the draft comp, and this is the final whistle on that debate.

The Bears tried to make the case that Ian Cunningham’s move into the GM role with the Falcons should count, but the league was not convinced. Even though Cunningham took over GM duties and showed up in the annual GM photo, the NFL said it was not enough to meet the criteria.

Chicago reportedly played hard even after the league withdrew its 2026 draft order in March (with zero comp picks for them), but the replay didn’t go their way. Now, they head into the 2026 NFL Draft with their original seven picks. Headlined by the No. 25 overall pick and a pair of second-rounders.

No bonus selection. No dole. He was disposed of with just that hand. And now it’s up to the Bears front office to make every snap count heading into draft weekend.

Big West Ham arrivals could be off the cards in a matter of weeks – vultures circling for transfer

West Ham

West Ham United’s move for Taty Castellanos in January was aimed at adding a proven attacking option, but life in east London has not progressed as expected.

The Argentine arrived with a solid reputation built at Lazio. However, his early months in England have been mixed. Minutes have been limited, and consistency has been harder to find as he adapts to the Premier League, even with three goals scored so far.

There has already been extensive discussion on that background. As covered earlier todayThe Italian press used Castellanos’ transfer as an example of the growing financial gap between Serie A and the Premier League. From his perspective, the move itself demonstrates how English clubs can pick up established players with relative ease.

He also suggested that despite the financial benefits involved, the Switch is a step down from a gaming standpoint.

Now the same transfer has started creating a different kind of noise.

Long-standing admiration reawakened

Flamengo are once again keeping a close eye on the West Ham striker and their interest is not new.

Back in February, we covered that Castellanos had already been appreciated internally for a long time at the club. At the time, any move depended on very specific circumstances, including West Ham’s league position and the player’s desire to move. But now things seem to have changed.

According to latest reports Bolavip In Brazil, Flamengo have resumed monitoring the situation and may consider a move in the next transfer window. The club is actively searching for a new striker and have identified this role as a priority.

Importantly, Castellanos’ name is expected to be presented to manager Leonardo Jardim for evaluation. Their approval will be important before any formal approach can be considered.

There is also a recent connection between the clubs which could smooth any potential negotiations. Flamengo has already done business with West Ham lucas paquetaThis suggests that there is an open line of communication between both parties.

The same applies in the opposite direction, with the Hammers previously linked with the Flamengo forward Gonzalo PlataThis further shows that a dialogue already exists between the clubs.

West Ham transfer position opening up?

Taty Castellanos’s situation at West Ham United is still developing, but the lack of a strong hold so far inevitably arouses interest.

Flamengo’s stance has now gone beyond a purely hypothetical scenario. The Brazilian team is planning a post-World Cup campaign between July and September and has set aside a budget for a centre-forward.

Castellanos fits the profile they want. His time at Lazio reflected his intensity, pressing ability and presence in the box. Those attributes remain attractive, even if his Premier League spell hasn’t quite panned out yet.

The main difference from the start of the year is that relegation is no longer being held as a stricture. Instead, it looks like a club that is keeping a close eye and waiting for the right opening.

what happens next

For West Ham, this remains a manageable situation for now. The focus will be on integrating Castellanos and helping him adapt. However, outside interest is clearly growing, and Flamengo’s long-term admiration is not waning.

If his role in the team does not increase significantly, the summer window could bring a decision. For Flamengo, it’s all about timing and opportunity.

For West Ham, it may soon become a question of whether the January signings will turn into a short-term experiment. With the Hammers currently in the drop zone, demotion would certainly increase the chances.

Milwaukee waives Cam Thomas 3 weeks after signing

The Milwaukee Bucks wasted no time in making a decision on the future of Cam Thomas, placing him on waivers after only 18 games with the team. The guard averaged only 10.7 points per game and 16.6 minutes, never fully fitting within the rotation. X, according to Shams Charania in the past via Twitter, was a surprise given the load he placed on Thomas’ shoulders.

Charania posted, “Bucs GM Jon Horst sold Thomas as a vital part of the team’s contention potential this season and in the future when the team signed him after the trade deadline.” “Whereas Doc Rivers compared Thomas to Lou Williams and Jamal Crawford after only two games. Now he’s been forgiven.”

The Brooklyn Nets waived Thomas early this season after a poor start to the year. He averaged only 15.6 points per game in 24 games, a significant decline compared to his previous two seasons with the Nets. He started the year hot for Brooklyn, but a hamstring injury completely derailed his season.

Hamstring problems were a recurring problem in the 2024–25 season, when he played only 25 games. In the limited sample size, the guard averaged 24 points per game, giving some hope that he could bounce back this season. It looked like it might become a reality until injury problems occurred.

The Bucks made a similar move in the wake of the Cam Thomas news, converting Pete Nance to a multi-year standard NBA contract. Nance averaged 12.1 minutes and 4.5 points per game in 37 games, which is more games than he has played in the last three seasons.

Liverpool and Manchester United launched temporary move for Real Madrid player ‘in recent weeks’

Antonio Rudiger

Antonio Rudiger’s Real Madrid contract expires in the summer. Liverpool and Manchester United now sense an opportunity to bring him back to England.

The German joins Los Blancos after his Chelsea contract expires in 2022. Since then, they have won the Champions League once and also won La Liga in the same season.

Now 33, the centre-back position is once again attracting attention, with Real Madrid yet to offer a renewal. Juventus tried to sign him after his tenure at Stamford Bridge ended. They are back in the field for the defender and are reportedly competing with Liverpool and Manchester United.

today’s tuttosport Considers Rüdiger’s future in detail.

Rudiger was seen as a major coup

The Turin newspaper believes the former AS Roma player would be a major coup for Juventus, who have Luciano Spalletti as their manager. The Italian managed Rudiger during his time at the Giallorossi and could prove vital in the transfer.

Competition from Manchester United and Liverpool ‘in recent weeks’ could scupper Juve’s plans. Both English clubs have greater financial muscle than the Bianconeri, who are attempting to negotiate a move with Rudiger’s entourage.

The Red Devils, in particular, could play a major role in the deal. That’s because Harry Maguire’s potential renewal could determine where Rudiger arrives in the summer.

The newspaper believes his new deal at Manchester United is close to coming to fruition, having held an important meeting with his agents during the international break. There is a possibility of renewal, only the length of the contract remains to be decided.

Juventus are keeping a close eye on this development, as it will help them get closer to signing Rudiger.

Deal may not make sense for Liverpool or Manchester United

If Maguire renews, the Old Trafford side will not need another experienced defender. They have young centre-backs in Ayden Haven and Lenny Yarrow, with Lisandro Martínez and Luke Shaw more than capable of playing at centre-back.

Matthijs de Ligt is injured but should return sometime in the next few months.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, Virgil van Dijk is very close. ibrahima konate could Departure in the summer but to replace him, the Reds should ideally look for a young profile. Furthermore, it is rare for a Merseyside club to sign players over the age of 30.

This is why Juve may actually have a chance to sign Rudiger this summer.

Hugo Ekitike – Injury being seen as ‘more of a scare’, Liverpool striker could face weeks out

Hugo Akitike’s injury against Brighton & Hove Albion was not serious, with early indications suggesting the Liverpool striker has escaped major injury.

Report by French journalist Santi Auna That Ekitike suffered more from ‘fear’ than ‘anything serious’.

According to their information, Ekitike has suffered a ‘serious thigh injury’. Liverpool are awaiting further tests before deciding on a timescale on his absence. However, the good news is that the injury is not serious.

brighton injury

Akitike had to be subbed off after just seven minutes in the clash with Brighton. It appeared that he had suffered a leg injury due to a late challenge from James Milner.

The French striker collapsed on the turf in pain before staggering to the sideline. After a brief attempt to play on, he went down again and was replaced by Curtis Jones before heading straight into the tunnel.

international suspicion

It was a worrying moment for Liverpool. They were already without Mohamed Salah and Alisson for the trip to the south coast. Alexander Isaac has also been absent for a long time.

This also put Ekitike in doubt for the international break. He has been called by France for next week’s friendly matches against Brazil and Colombia. But now it is doubtful whether he will play in both the matches.

Auna reports that the 23-year-old has at least escaped major injury. However, a serious thigh injury is no laughing matter.

While a mild Grade 1 injury usually requires at least one week, severe injury can often result in an absence of 4–8 weeks. With Ekitike’s injury described as ‘serious’, he may now have to be out for a few weeks.

What does this mean for liverpool

This would be a huge blow for Liverpool as they try to make it into the top four and qualify for the Champions League.

Ekitike is their top goalscorer this season with 17 goals in all competitions and losing him for a long period of time could be extremely damaging.

Michael Porter Jr. ruled out for 2-3 weeks after MRI reveals hamstring strain

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and will be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks, the team announced Thursday. Porter has missed Brooklyn’s last three games with an ankle sprain.

The 6-foot-10 forward felt discomfort in his hamstring during Wednesday’s workout. An MRI revealed a strain that would sideline him until the final weeks of the season.

Porter is having a career-best season as Brooklyn’s No. 1 option. The 27-year-old is averaging a career-high 24.2 points on .463/.363/.859 shooting splits in 52 appearances following his trade to the Denver Nuggets.

Michael Porter Jr. out for extended period as Nets season ends

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. (17) controls the ball against Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins (22) during the first quarter at Barclays Center.
brad penner-image images

The Nets are 3-14 in games Porter has missed. They have recorded the NBA’s worst offense over their last four games and have sidelined veteran forwards. Igor Demin and Deron Sharp have also been out during that period after opting out of the season.

Brooklyn is averaging 95.3 points on 39.3 percent shooting from the field and 32.0 percent from three over its last four games. Jordi Fernandez scored 24 points during the first half of his team’s 121-92 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

The Nets are in the midst of a heated draft lottery race. They are in third place in the lottery standings with 13 games remaining. Brooklyn has one win less than the fourth-place Sacramento Kings, one more than the third-place Washington Wizards and two more than the first-place Indiana Pacers.

With two matchups against the Kings before meetings with the Wizards and Pacers, the Nets have the easiest remaining strength in the NBA.

Isaiah Stewart gives update on serious calf injury weeks before playoffs

Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart recently suffered a Grade 1 left calf strain and will miss some time, the team announced Tuesday morning. Stewart is undergoing treatment and will miss at least the Pistons’ next four games.

Preparations are on to re-evaluate them in a week.

This means the Pistons will be without their defensive tackles on Tuesday and Thursday against the Washington Wizards, on Friday at home against the Golden State Warriors and on Monday, February 23 at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The good news for the Pistons is that it is not a significant injury, and Stewart should be able to return after resting and receiving treatment for a week or two, assuming he doesn’t suffer any setbacks in his recovery. Stewart is also the only key Pistons player to place himself on the injury report, leaving the team with options to replace his production.

However, the Pistons only have a 3.5-game lead over the Boston Celtics for the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference.

The race for the top spot in the East has suddenly become a major topic of discussion, with the Celtics adding back Jayson Tatum and winning seven of their last 10 games. On the other end, the Pistons have struggled recently, going just 3-5 in their last eight games, including a 119-108 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

With back-to-back games against the tanking Wizards, Detroit has a clear path to two wins in a row to try to steady the ship.

Unfortunately for the Pistons, this is an injury that has been bothering Stewart for quite some time. The big man has battled a calf issue all season, and head coach JB Bickerstaff recently alluded to it following his team’s loss on Sunday.

Bickerstaff said of Stewart, “It’s something he’s dealing with. It’s getting worse.” “He gutted it out in the last game and I think you could see he was favoring it late… It’s something we’ll take our time with.”

Although Detroit announced that Stewart will be reevaluated in a week, it is fair to assume they will keep him out longer to ensure he is 100 percent before the playoffs and the end of the regular season. After all, he is instrumental in the team’s defensive identity.

Without Stewart, Paul Reed, Ron Holland II, and Javonte Green will all have increased roles off the bench. Reed has now moved into the role of backup big man behind Jalen Duren in Stewart’s absence.

In 55 games this season, Stewart has averaged 10.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, while shooting 54.1 percent from the floor. Only he and Wizards big man Alex Sarr have recorded at least 90 blocks this season while playing less than 1,300 minutes.

Anthony Edwards will miss several weeks with a new knee injury.

Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards recently underwent an MRI for what the team was labeling as “right knee soreness,” and the imaging revealed swelling in the right knee.

As a result, Edwards will miss at least the team’s next four games and will be reevaluated in 1-2 weeks. The Timberwolves announced Tuesday that further updates on the star’s progress will be provided as they become available.

This is a significant blow for Edwards and the Timberwolves, especially considering the team has been struggling for some time.

Since winning five straight games in March, Minnesota has lost four of its last five games, including a 116-103 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Edwards will now miss games against the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics before the teams possibly provide another update on his status.

Although the Timberwolves have gone 6–4 in their 10 games without Edwards this season, all six of their wins have come against teams with losing records. Five of Minnesota’s next six games will be against teams currently in playoff position or in the play-in region of their conference standings.

Without Edwards, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch will now turn to Julius Randle to lead the Wolves without Edwards on the court, and newly acquired Ayo Dosunmu will see an increased role in the backcourt alongside swingman Donte DiVincenzo.

However, Edwards’ production cannot be replicated, as his All-NBA-like season may now be in jeopardy.

In 58 games this season, Edwards has averaged 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while shooting 49.2 percent from the floor and 40.2 percent from 3-point range.

To qualify for end-of-season honors and accolades like the All-NBA teams, Edwards must play in at least seven of the Wolves’ final 14 games of the regular season. If Edwards is unable to return when he is reevaluated by medical personnel next week, he will cut it close to the 65-game minimum for awards.

The Timberwolves are currently 41-27 on the season, two games above the play-in zone in the Western Conference standings before Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.

Kelly Oubre Jr. out for at least 2 weeks with elbow injury

Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. will be sidelined for at least two weeks after suffering an elbow injury during Tuesday night’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The injury update came shortly after Philadelphia’s 139–129 win, which improved the team’s record to 35–30 on the season. The veteran swingman delivered one of his most productive performances of the year before the team announced the severity of the injury.

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Oubre will be reevaluated in about two weeks.

“Philadelphia 76ers swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks after spraining the lateral collateral ligament in his left elbow,” Scotto reported Wednesday on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The 30-year-old played a key role in the win over Memphis before his diagnosis. Oubre finished the game with 30 points and 12 rebounds while adding two steals, one block and one assist in 38 minutes.

He shot 10 of 24 from the field, struggled from long range, going 1-of-9 from three-point range, and converted 9 of 11 attempts from the free-throw line in the performance.

Kelly Oubre Jr.’s absence increases 76ers’ injury challenges during playoff push

Oubre has been a consistent contributor for Philadelphia throughout the season. In 41 appearances, including 36 starts, he averaged 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

The veteran guard is shooting 46.3% from the field, while connecting on a career-high 36.9% of his three-point attempts. He has logged 32.4 minutes per game, providing scoring, rebounding and defensive activity on the wing.

His absence caused the 76ers to face injury challenges during the second half of the season. Philadelphia has faced several lineup disruptions as it moves forward in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

After the win over Memphis, the 76ers will hit the road for a brief one-game trip against the Detroit Pistons. The matchup is scheduled for Thursday night at 7:00 PM ET and will stream on Prime Video.

This week’s NASCAR betting guide: 4 driver selections

Kyle Busch – Top-10 Finish (+215)

The start to the season hasn’t exactly been promising for Kyle Busch, especially if you exclude winning the pole for the Daytona 500. He has finished 20th or worse in the last two races and three times this season. However, this is a homecoming for the future Hall of Famer, and he finished eighth here in October. While last year the spring race in Las Vegas finished poorly (33rd place), he qualified in fourth place. We believe Busch can rediscover some of the magic in Las Vegas and finish in the top-10.

Ross Chastain – Top-5 Finish (+210)

Ross Chastain and the No. 1 team arrived in Las Vegas hoping to get back on track after a rough two-race stretch at COTA (35th) and Phoenix (28th). It’s worth remembering some context with those results. At COTA, Chastain had one of the fastest cars, before the right rear tire separated on lap 75. Last weekend, Chastain was running sixth when Joey Logano came at him, and the No. 1 car spun off the track and into traffic. He has consistently placed himself in the top 10 in the final stages and is ranked top-3 (Atlanta) this season. At Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where she has three top-fives and an average finishing position of 9.3 in the last six races, we believe Chastain is capable of finishing fourth or better.

Denny Hamlin – Top-3 Finish (+210)

After finishing among the top five cars at Daytona (31st) and Atlanta (13th) only to suffer damage and withdraw, Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 team have put together a stellar performance. He finished 10th at COTA, which he admits was like a top five for him, and then finished fifth at Phoenix with the third-most stage points. A shoulder injury aggravated before the season appears to be becoming less of a problem and he is now back on the track where he won last October. Although we’re not predicting the No. 11 team celebrating a win on Sunday, we will say it has a top-3 finish in the spring race at Las Vegas for the first time since 2007.

Joey Logano – Race Winner (+1100)

The temptation is certainly there to pick either Kyle Larson or Christopher Bell to win the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday. We are going in a different direction. While Joey Logano finished 15th in the spring race here last season, he finished with the third-most laps led (40) and a second-place finish. In 2024, he won the pole at Las Vegas and finished ninth. After wasting last Sunday, we’re predicting the No. 22 team will score its first win of the season at Las Vegas and make it two wins in a row for Team Penske.

Kishawn George out for at least 3 weeks with elbow injury

The Washington Wizards will be without Keyshawn George in the lineup for at least three weeks. It is being said that he is suffering from an elbow injury which will take some time to heal.

According to NBA insider Brett Siegel, reports indicate that George, who is 22, is dealing with a partial tear in the UCL in his left elbow. It is said that the Wizards will re-evaluate George’s arm after he sits out three weeks.

“Wizards forward Keyshawn George has a partial tear of the UCL in his left elbow and will be treated conservatively. George will be reevaluated in three weeks.”

The Wizards also provided an injury update on the second-year pro. Washington claims the injury occurred during the club’s 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets on March 2.

“Washington Wizards forward Keyshawn George suffered a partial tear of the UCL in his left elbow on March 2 against the Houston Rockets. The injury will be treated conservatively, and George will be reevaluated in three weeks. Further updates will be provided at that time.”

With George out of the lineup, the Wizards will likely turn to Will Riley. However, Bub Carrington and Jaden Hardy may get some additional playing time as well. We’ll find out for sure when Washington takes on the Utah Jazz on Thursday.

Due to this injury, George will not be able to play 10 to 11 games. This is approximately half of the remaining competitions on the club’s schedule. Given that the Wizards have a 16-45 record and are in 13th place in the Eastern Conference, it is likely that Keyshawn George will sit out the remainder of the season. Ultimately, it depends on how severe the injury is.

“Judas” chant at player weeks after Wolves transfer

John Arias faced a hostile reunion with his former club Fluminense on Wednesday night as his new team Palmeiras won 2-1.

The episode adds another chapter to a tumultuous year for Colombians. after a mixed magic on wolves And after a quick return of £21.5 million (€25 million), Arias found himself center stage again – this time for off-pitch drama.

The tension arose from Arias’ emotional departure when he left Fluminense for Wolves. In those days, He pledged loyalty to the Rio club.

“I will come back to Fluminense, and I say this with complete calmness. The greatest lesson my grandfather and parents taught me is to be loyal to what you feel. There is nothing in the world, no money, that can buy your essence, your values.” He said before boarding his flight to Wolves.

This statement is now overshadowing his transfer to Palmeiras. So even before kick-off, the focus was entirely on Arias. His new club was warmly greeted by the traveling Fluminense fans, and the winger was welcomed with chants of “”.Arias, go [redacted] Yourself! Fluminense doesn’t need you!” Another section kept shouting “Judas” repeatedly.

some fans and moved forward. They printed counterfeit dollar bills with Arias’ face on them, mocking what they called His “dream” goes away. One supporter was holding a shirt with the words: traitor. “Dreamed of Europe, woke up with Tiete.” – a reference to the polluted river that flows through São Paulo, where Palmeiras is located.

Split reactions to pitch

He entered the pitch in the 57th minute. He received a yellow card after a foul on his former teammate Guga, almost provided an assist and attempted a direct free-kick from long range. Each touch drew whistles from the traveling support.

At one point, Guga fouled him in response to that earlier challenge. Fluminense fans celebrated the tackle loudly and chanted the defender’s name in approval.

Meanwhile, Palmeiras supporters sang his name whenever Arias came on and again sang his name whenever the away goal took aim at him.

The match against Palmeiras ended 2–1, one of the goals being scored by a player named Allan Attracted interest from Liverpool In recent weeks. However, the competition often felt secondary to Arias’ presence.

After the final whistle, left-back Joaquín Piquerez came to the rescue of his teammate.

“I think all the players are professionals. We didn’t know what Arias was thinking, but he already imagined this situation. He doesn’t need to give it importance. John helped Fluminense a lot, gave them many titles, one of the most important in their history. Today he is with us and will defend our colors”.Uruguay said.

Meanwhile, Fluminense goalkeeper Fabio also downplayed the controversy.

“This is normal in football. We can’t only focus on the individual side of the player, the buying and selling options and the situations behind the scenes. We also focus on the match against Palmeiras, on the quality players, on the entry of Arias. That’s what we focus on.”He said.

For those who watched his time at Wolves, it feels natural. Fluminense’s pranksters may follow him around for a while.

Yet if this is what life after Wolves looks like – decisive touches, centre-stage drama and a winning side built around him – then he may decide the trade-off was worth it.

Player becomes leader weeks after Wolves exit – although changes have been seen before

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans, look away. It seems that leaving Molineux could have quite a transformative effect. Just look at Emmanuel Egbadou.

Hurriyat cover it today And how he soon established himself as the ‘leader’ of the Besiktas defenders. In fact, manager Sergen Yalkin is also calling him that.

Agbadou joined the Turkish side in the January transfer window after a long spell away from Molineux.

Wolves grow out of difficulties

Sport Witness covered the saga extensively since December, reporting on agents’ meetings, flights to Istanbul and everything in between. The clubs sealed the deal on the deadline itself.

Vitor Pereira also joinedSupporting the protest at the request of the Turkish press. The defender was actually the first signing of the Portuguese manager’s reign at Wolves and was a mainstay under him last season.

Fans regarded him as a revelation upon his arrival, helping Pereira’s struggling defense last year.

The statistics also supported this, with some showing that he had not missed a single 50/50 and was in the top 10% for progressive passes among centre-backs. However, this season, that form waned.

By September, some reports described his performances as ‘disastrous’, citing unforgivable mistakes in key games. He was eventually sold to Turkey, where the cycle appears to have started again.

basic positivity

According to Hurriyet, Agbadou has made a very positive impact early on at his new club. The talks with Yalkin came after the defender achieved 82% pass accuracy and won 10/13 duels in games against Alanya N Başakşehir.

The Besiktas manager reportedly told him, “This season, the positions in which we had problems were mainly defence.”

“You largely eliminated this problem with your performances in the Alanyaspor and Baden-Sakeshir matches. You were very successful in duels, timing and pass accuracy. From now on, you are the leader of our defense. I want you to lead the team in the game setup.”

Considering how things ended in England, it’s quite a turnaround for the 28-year-old. However, Wolves fans may just want to wait before getting too disappointed. After all, they have seen such demonstrations before.

This structure mirrors past Brazilian exports. Liverpool will now secure the player but will delay his arrival, thereby protecting Palmeiras’ sporting objectives in the short term.

Newcastle’s interest diminished by Liverpool’s actions

Newcastle United made a strong push For Alan in the first window. Reports have described the Magpies as preparing an “immediate” deal and willing to make a heavy investment. However, he never submitted a formal proposal. Aston Villa were also connected.

napoli failed Offers reached €35 million (£30 million), while Benfica and MLS clubs made inquiries. Liverpool now appear to be the first side to take the discussion into advanced territory.

Allan has a contract until 2029 and a release clause of around €100m (£86m). He could not become an undisputed starter under Abel Ferreira, yet he made important performances in decisive matches and remains one of Palmeiras’ most valuable assets.

what happens next
