‘Agents are working’ – Everton hopeful of finally landing Sweden

everton Have previously tried to sign Bologna’s Emil Holm and may get another chance.

The last 12 months have been disappointing for the right-back. He was loaned to Juventus in January after inconsistency in the first half of the campaign in the Rossoblu.

Things did not change in Turin, as injury concerns plagued him. He played only seven times in Serie A and is expected to return to Bologna after the Old Lady decided against a permanent deal.

sports witness Previously covered how Everton tried to sign him in January. He adopted a formal attitude but the old woman beat him at the window for a long time.

Now efforts are on to find a new club.

frustration is rising

remaining steps Report about possible outgoing from Bologna. They have failed to qualify for Europe, meaning the list is missing some important players.

As things stand, Holm is one of the more unwanted players. Bologna are confident he will return to them and his ‘agents are working’ to find a new club.

A move to the Premier League is seen as the top option. The outlet says Everton have previously tried to sign him and that option would appeal to the right-back in the summer.

Bologna are also somewhat desperate to sell. He believes the sale of Holm could reduce the need to move key players such as Jonathan Rowe or Santiago Castro, who could play a bigger role for them next season.

toffee goes risky

The last 12 months have been somewhat of an alarm bell when it comes to Holm signings. He continues to suffer from muscle injuries and is set to withdraw for the 2024/25 campaign. At that time he suffered four different injuries, which had a direct impact on his playing style.

The Sweden international is a type of full-back who was very active on the right side. He was consistently bombing forwards from deep, especially during his time at Spezia.

Now, a move would be a big risk for Everton. An initial loan deal could help the 26-year-old get back on track and prevent the Toffees from spending much up front.

2 sources say Barcelona keen on Manchester City star – ‘working’ on snatching player from Etihad

Ndoye agent working to secure the exit from Nottingham Forest

In the time of Dan Ndoye nottingham forest So far it has been disappointing. The winger is in line for an early exit from the club.

last summer, sports witness Covered how the Midlands club beat Napoli to the winger. Taking advantage of Partenopei’s financial issues, they paid €40m, but the deal did not fall through.

Ndoye scored on his Nottingham Forest debut, providing an assist in his second Premier League game. Since then, he fell victim to the club’s instability and did not contribute a single goal throughout the campaign.

As Ndoye’s condition is desperate, efforts are underway to help him out.

The agent is trying to find a solution

IT migration market Note that the Switzerland international’s last appearance in the Premier League was on April 12 against Aston Villa. This is causing concern among the player’s entourage, who are already trying to find him a new club.

While there has been interest from Italian clubs, those around the player also want to explore other opportunities. Another English club could come forward for him and Nottingham Forest could also change their plans.

A huge fee is being demanded from Vitor Perera. They are refusing to get out of the loan and will only accept a fee of €42m to let him leave.

This, in itself, is likely to create a barrier to returning to Italy. There has already been interest from Inter Milan and Roma but ideally he would prefer a loan move.

Player being returned to Watford – transfer not working out as expected

watford There is uncertainty once again over Jorge Cabezas Hurtado after the striker endured a disappointing loan spell in Colombia.

The 22-year-old joined Millonarios in need of regular football and a chance to regain his rhythm. Instead, the move never went smoothly.

Hurtado played only five matches for Millonarios. He only played 149 minutes in total and failed to register any goals or assists during his time there. For a forward trying to get back into the picture at Watford, those numbers are hard to ignore.

The lack of participation also helps explain the latest updates coming from Colombia.

Loan spell fails to generate momentum

Jorge Cabezas Hurtado arrived at Millonarios with the opportunity to restart his career. Instead, he struggled to establish himself in the squad rotation and was never able to become a significant attacking option.

The absence of a goal or assist only increases doubt about what will happen next.

Journalist pipe sierra Reportedly Millonarios have already informed Watford that they will not be activating their purchase option for the striker. His agent is therefore looking for a new destination ahead of the summer transfer window.

Watford must now decide whether another loan move is worth pursuing or whether a permanent departure would be the cleanest solution. The player still has age in him, but this latest spell has done nothing to strengthen his position.

There is another important information in the report of Pipe Sierra. The fact that the player’s representatives are already looking for alternatives suggests there is limited confidence that he will have a meaningful role at Vicarage Road next season.

what happens next

Jorge Cabezas Hurtado is still only 22 and there will likely be clubs willing to gamble on his potential. However, this latest loan failed to generate the progress Watford had hoped for.

A new move elsewhere in South America or into a smaller European league now seems more realistic. If Watford still believe regular minutes are a priority then another temporary exit may suit all parties.

However, the situation looks quite straightforward right now. The Millonarios loan did not work out, the purchase option will not be activated, and Watford are back to looking for the next step in the striker’s career.

Los Angeles Chargers Working Out Pro Bowl Players

General manager Joe Hortiz recently completed his second draft with the Los Angeles Chargers. Hortiz added eight new players to head coach Jim Harbaugh’s roster during the three-day draft event, including Miami’s Akhim Messidor with the 22nd overall selection in the first round.

Not surprisingly, the Chargers placed a heavy emphasis on rebuilding in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Six of the team’s eight draft selections were either offensive linemen or defensive linemen. The other two were used at a wide receiver and a safety, but the team did not select any tight ends to compete with or pursue Oronde Gadsden and free agency arrival Charlie Kolar.

However, the Chargers have indicated a desire to boost their tight end room. On Monday, the Chargers will bring in former Cleveland Browns running back David Njoku for a workout.

Njoku’s contract with the Browns expired this offseason and the one-time Pro Bowler not surprisingly faced a strong market. Still only 29 years old, Njoku is coming off a poor season where he recorded only 293 yards and four touchdowns. In 2023, Njoku posted a career-high 882-yard, six-touchdown campaign.

While he likely won’t return to his peak form with the Chargers, Njoku would give Justin Herbert another reliable weapon on a team that could use more playmakers.

‘Hands off’ – Fabio Paratici is working to stop Tottenham’s transfer

Tottenham transfer target Nicolo Fagioli
Tottenham transfer target Nicolo Fagioli

Nicolo Fagioli has been a shining light in a dark season for Fiorentina tottenham Interest in the midfielder has now emerged.

The first few months of the season were not good for Fiorentina. They found themselves in the bottom three and struggled to find any momentum.

That’s when Fagioli played a big role in pulling them up the table by maintaining his presence in deep midfield. In recent weeks, he has impressed even more and at the weekend against Sassuolo he was the best player on the pitch.

sports witness It previously covered English interest in the former Juventus player, who was controversially left out of the Italian national team last month.

This has not stopped his reputation from growing further. Tottenham are looming as a threat for a player whose future is under constant discussion.

suitors warned

corriere dello sport Note that Fagioli has been exceptional for Paolo Vanoli’s side over the last three months. He makes it clear that his talent was always on the cards, even at Juve, who loaned him to Fiorentina in January 2025 before a permanent sale last summer.

This is beneficial for La Viola, who have seen the Italian become one of the most sought-after midfielders in Serie A.

Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are also interested. Max Allegri managed him in Turin and appears keen on a reunion.

But the report issues a ‘hands-off’ warning to clubs. Fabio Paratici is a big fan of Fagioli and wants to start an ambitious project from next season.

That’s why Fagioli will be central to the Fiorentina squad, which will undergo other changes in the summer.

We believe: Tottenham will have a chance

The report is good for publicizing Fiorentina’s ambitions. However, this seems to be another attempt to paint Paratici’s views in a brighter light, as the club needs little else to remain in Serie A.

As a result, Tottenham should keep an eye on the 25-year-old. He is a complete midfielder who is capable of playing in a variety of roles. That’s why Luciano Spalletti, during his tenure as Italy manager, called them up for the European Championships in 2024.

Buffalo Bills ‘working crazy’ at specific position ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

When selecting so late in the NFL Draft, as Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has become accustomed to, it becomes difficult to predict which prospects will be available in the latter half of the first round. Of course, as mentioned, this is nothing new for the Bills, who haven’t had a top-10 selection since making Ed Oliver the ninth overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This time, the Bills don’t have a pick until No. 26 in the first round. Most Bills draft projections expect the team to focus on a wide receiver or defender. It turns out, the Bills’ evaluators have invested a lot of time exploring a specific position on defense.

According to NFL insider Tony Pauline of Essential Sports, the Bills have done an “extreme amount of work” on off-ball linebacker prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft.

“In my first-round mock draft, I had Buffalo select Georgia’s C.J. Allen,” Pauline wrote. “I’m told the Bills, who don’t have a selection until No. 91 after their pick in the early frame, are doing a lot of work on off-ball linebackers.”

Allen has been a common choice for the Bills at No. 26. He is viewed as the second-best pure linebacker prospect behind Ohio State star Sonny Styles and a potential first-round selection after clocking a 4.47 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

The Bills have a total of seven selections in the NFL Draft, including Nos. 26 and 91. After that, the chances of finding an immediate contributor diminish significantly, but the Bills will still have five chances to find someone who can crack their roster.

Kansas City Chiefs working on big trade in 2026 NFL Draft

We’ve already seen a big trade this week, with the New York Giants shipping Pro Bowl DT Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Could the Kansas City Chiefs be close to pulling off another blockbuster with a top-10 pick?

The Chiefs already have the ninth and 29th overall picks in the first round of the draft, but they are reportedly trying to move into the top five.

According to Johnny Venerable of PHNX, the Arizona Cardinals have been in contact with the Chiefs, and are discussing a trade that would send the third overall pick in the first round to Kansas City. Reverend’s suggestion is for the Chiefs to send the No. 9 plus changes to Arizona in exchange for the No. 3, then Kansas City will target the top pass-rusher available.

“Sources tell PHNX Cardinals that Osenfort has already engaged in early trade discussions with GM Brett Veach and the Kansas City Chiefs,” Venerable wrote. “The Chiefs, who have the ninth overall pick, will likely target the top available pass rusher in Texas Tech’s David Bailey or Ohio State’s Arvel Reese. While early trade details are unclear, the NFL Trade Value Chart projects that pick #3 is worth around $2200, while pick #9 is worth #1350.”

The Cardinals had the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft before moving up to the No. 12 pick and selecting left tackle Paris Johnson. The Cardinals will again be looking to trade down and select another offensive tackle to help stabilize their line. The last time they went down from 3, the Cardinals acquired a future first pick in addition to the 34th pick, a fifth-round selection and the No. 12 overall pick.

If Kansas City can make a deal like this, the price will definitely be different this time, as no two draft picks are alike.

Jorge Mendes working to secure Manchester United transfer – on stand-by, Wolves player given priority

of manchester united Manuel Ugarte is looking increasingly likely to leave this summer and his future has been linked to Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes.

The Uruguayan has been unconvincing since joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2024. He has yet to start a game since the arrival of Michael Carrick and has hardly been involved this season.

sports witness Interest from Juventus was recently covered but a deal is likely to be difficult.

This was mainly due to finances, with Manchester United seeking a permanent deal. Juventus were looking for an initial loan, looking for him during the international break.

Now, interest from Napoli has resurfaced but they appear to be focusing more on Wolves’ Joao Gomes.

Mendes is helping Ugarte out

of napolimagazine Emanuele Cammarotto reports on Napoli’s intentions to strengthen their midfield this summer.

They have been given the chance to sign Ugarte, with Jorge Mendes working together to help Manchester United. There is belief the 24-year-old will leave Old Trafford and Napoli are monitoring his situation.

However, their interest in the Red Devils player is not as strong as they would now like to target Wolves’ Gomes.

They attempted to sign Gomes in January and have continued to work on a deal for the player.

This may be mainly due to financial reasons. Wolves’ pending relegation could help Napoli gain an exemption.

Manchester United should accept defeat

The longer Manchester United keeps Ugarte, the further his valuation will fall. They invested a significant amount of money in him and ideally they would like to return the amount paid to PSG.

Italian clubs will not be able to afford this and that is why the Red Devils should be open to discounts.

Furthermore, Manchester United wants at least two midfielders in the summer. Any money earned will only help, with Casemiro also gone at the end of the campaign.

As far as Wolves are concerned, he probably won’t have any say in Gomes’ future. Their best bet is to promote the auction, which will help them earn as much as possible from its sales.

Manchester United are actively working to sell the 24-year-old – the decision has been made

manuel ugarte
Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte

Manchester United are moving towards a vital midfield decision ahead of the summer window. After months of uncertainty, Manuel Ugarte’s situation is now becoming clear.

The 24-year-old arrives at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024 for around €50m (£43m). He was expected to add bite and control to the midfield.

However, that impact has not materialized. Instead, Ugarte has struggled for consistency and minutes recently.

This season he has played only 791 minutes in the Premier League. His last start came against Burnley and since then he has largely remained on the bench under Michael Carrick.

As a result, disappointment has increasedBoth internally and publicly. The player admitted earlier this month that lack of game time was becoming an issue.

Now exit is part of Manchester United’s plan

Manchester United are no longer just considering possibilities. They are now actively looking to sell Manuel Ugarte in the next transfer window.

This is according to a Uruguayan newspaper CountryWho report that the club are willing to clear a departure despite the midfielder being under contract until 2029. This decision reflects his limited role. Furthermore, it reflects a broader need to reshape the midfield.

Ugarte still holds a strong market value, which is helped by his age and his position in the Uruguay national team under Marcelo Bielsa. A sale this summer would allow the club to reinvest before that value risks falling further.

There is also a comprehensive squad reference. Manchester United are expected to look for midfield reinforcements who would fit better into Carrick’s system, particularly in terms of progression and pace. Keeping a player with limited participation will further complicate his rebuild.

Interest in Serie A grows as competition emerges

The Manuel Ugarte situation has increasingly attracted attention in Italy, and what initially seemed like single-club interest is now developing into a more competitive race.

Juventus remain firmly in the picture. As mentioned earlier La Gazzetta dello SportSporting director Marco Ottolini is set to keep a close eye on the midfielder during Uruguay’s friendly against Algeria at the Allianz Stadium. That scouting opportunity is seen as an important step ahead of the summer.

However, Juventus is no longer alone. El Pais say Napoli have now joined the race and are ready to make a push for the signature. Meaning the Serie A champions could reunite the Old Trafford midfield duo, with Ugarte again playing alongside Scott McTominay. But the bottom line is that the two major Italian sides are eyeing the same opportunity.

Atletico Madrid had previously kept an eye on Ugarte. During this time, Aston Villa and Newcastle United The two explored loan deals in an earlier window, but were rejected by Manchester United at the time.

what happens next

Manuel Ugarte is keen to decide his future soon. The midfielder wants clarity ahead of the upcoming World Cup, allowing him to concentrate fully on international duty with Uruguay.

Importantly, he is prioritizing a move to Europe’s top leagues. Offers from Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have already been rejected, indicating that the level of play outweighs financial incentives at this stage of his career.

The direction for Manchester United is now clear. The club is ready to listen, and with interest in Serie A rising, the conditions are ripe for a summer exit.

Everything now points to movement in the coming months – and potentially a bidding war that could help United maximize their return.

Newcastle United’s squad of players ‘has been working for months’ on a transfer – Transfers within the Premier League

Sandro Tonali

There has been constant speculation over the future of Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali since joining the club.. A summer exit now looks certain for the midfielder.

The Italian media have repeatedly found reasons to talk about the ex-AC Milan player. Juventus have been mentioned as a suitor but Tonali’s agent Giuseppe Risso has hinted at a possible stay in the Premier League.

sports witness His comments were covered, as the Italian suggested the player was interested in a move to clubs such as Arsenal or Manchester City.

Now, it seems that active efforts are underway to secure Tonali’s departure to Newcastle United.

Group of players listening to offers

gazzetta dello sport Carlo Laudisa now reports on Sandro Tonali, claiming his price has skyrocketed. This will make it very difficult for Juventus to bring him back to Italy.

The journalist, who is very experienced, also says that the 25-year-old’s crew ‘has been working for months’. He wants to plan a transfer away from Newcastle United. The plan is to receive the best offer from the Premier League, which is where they are focusing their efforts.

It is hinted that magpies may not make it easy for potential suitors. They are unwilling to part with the player, which suggests the Tyneside club will place a high price on the Italy international.

This could be good news for Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City. The UK press has mentioned all three as possible lovers. tuttosport Risso’s appearance at the Gunners’ game against Brighton earlier this month was talked about.

Newcastle United should settle for nothing less

Since leaving AC Milan, Sandro Tonali’s stature has only grown. Even the betting ban has not halted his progress, with the player establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Even for Italy he has established himself as a pillar and will be key in the upcoming World Cup playoffs.

That’s why Newcastle United should not listen to any low offers for the player. Taking everything into account, Tonali is potentially a player worth €100 million. Contenders may have to pay that amount to get a chance to sign it.

Laudisa is a veteran of the Italian press and his information is likely to contain at least some truth. This should be seen as a clear message that the people around Tonali are fully accepting of the idea of a transfer and Magpies supporters should start making peace with the idea.

“I’m a huge fan” – Pundit praises Brighton man, World Cup plan looks to be working

Branyan Gruda’s loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion to RB Leipzig in the January transfer window was made with the World Cup in mind.

The 21-year-old also admitted, stating back in february The summer tournament was firmly in his thinking.

That plan now sounds like a masterstroke. In seven games so far for Leipzig, Gruda has scored three goals and two assists.

Gruda produced his best performance for Leipzig on Friday night, scoring twice and providing an assist in a 5–0 demolition of Hoffenheim. And this was enough to convince Didi Hamann that Gruda should be in Julian Nagelsmann’s plans.

“Gruda is definitely someone you should think about. I believe he will win the World Cup.” he told Sky Germany.

“He’s technically talented, two-footed and he has pace. I think Gruda is a player we don’t have. I’m a big fan of his.”

leipzig responsibility

The former Bayern Munich and Liverpool midfielder believes the move to Leipzig is largely responsible for Bjarna Gruda’s improved performances.

He had struggled to settle at Brighton, particularly under Fabian Herzeler. For example, this season, he made 18 appearances in the Premier League but only 896 minutes.

That is not the case under Ole Werner at Leipzig. Instead he immediately installed Gruda as the results starter and was rewarded for his faith. Hamann also believes that the atmosphere at his loan club is good for him.

“When I heard he was leaving Brighton my first thought was that he might still be able to make the World Cup squad,” He added.

“It seems that the atmosphere in Leipzig is being good for him.”

nagelsman unaffiliated

However, Julian Nagelsmann is not convinced. He has recently criticized the 21-year-old’s development and wants to see more from him.

“Ultimately, it’s about him scoring more goals and providing more assists. For his quality, it’s still not enough,” He said. The Germany coach was not impressed with the Brighton man in his last call-up before Euro 2024.

At that moment he realized “He didn’t fully realize he had a chance to be a part of the domestic European Championships.”.

Therefore, Gruda remains in the U21 national team. But after his performance against Hoffenheim, he is confident about his chances. “With good performance, all doors are open,” He said.

There will be more demonstrations like that and perhaps he and Haman will be proven right.

Player would have ‘gladly avoided’ Tottenham transfer – squad working on escape

randall cole muani

Randal Kolo Muani’s time at Tottenham has been limited to glimpses of quality. Since the season has not ended yet, efforts to find a new club for him are already underway.

Spurs landed the Frenchman on a dry loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the summer. This came as Juventus made desperate attempts to bring him back to Turin.

The old woman did not stop even in January. sports witness The claim was veiled as how they were pushing for a deal over the winter but things proved quite complicated.

It now appears as if Kolo Muani is already thinking about his future after his Tottenham loan. His team is working towards a possible return to Juventus.

Kolo Muani possibly regrets Spurs switch

today’s gazzetta dello sport Note that the 27-year-old would have ‘happily avoided’ a switch to Tottenham in the summer. This is not just because the London club suffered relegation, but because he was very keen on a move to Juve.

premier league 2025/26

Now, it is absolutely clear that he will not be in the Premier League team. Paris Saint-Germain have made it clear to their squad that he will be moved in the summer, with a swap deal involving Juve’s Jonathan David currently being considered.

It is believed the financial puzzle is still being sorted out but Randal Kolo Muani is now desperate for a transfer to Turin. His squad have expressed full availability for a return, with Luciano Spalletti keen to reunite him with Dusan Vlahovic.

The Italian is also clear that he will not want David in his team next season. This has become clear from his selection in the last two matches. Erek Milik, who has not played in over a year, was given preference over the Canadian in the recent draw against Sassuolo.

Talks could affect Tottenham commitment

Randle Kolo Muani is not the only Spurs player whose future is already being talked about prominently. The fact that he already seems frustrated with the situation at Tottenham is not a good sign for the club.

At this time they need players who are desperate to leave their mark. Instead, they have several (key) players who regularly speak to the press and their teammates leak information for potential transfers.

One last push from him would go a long way for Tottenham, who have seven games left to save themselves. While demotion would be a disaster for the club, it should also leave a negative mark against the players involved.

Blues, Sabers working on blockbuster trade for Robert Thomas

The St. Louis Blues and Buffalo Sabers are working on a trade that will shock the entire NHL. As TSN’s Darren Dreger reports, trade talks between the Blues and Sabers involving Robert Thomas are “heating up.” St.Louis is serious about trading Thomas after weeks of speculation.

As The Athletic’s Chris Johnston reports, Buffalo has been viewed as a “dark horse team” for the Blues center in the NHL. Other teams have also been linked to Thomas, such as the Utah Mammoth and Boston Bruins. Right now, the Sabers may be close to a deal for one of the best NHL players on the block.

The 26-year-old center will ignite Buffalo’s offense, giving the team a better chance to make the Stanley Cup playoffs. After years of selling off elite players, Buffalo may be on the opposite side of a transaction. After all, Thomas has been an 80-point player in the past two seasons, and he has scored at least 21 goals in this period.

St. Louis will likely get a massive move for Thomas, possibly including multiple first-round picks and prospects. The St. Louis center moving to Buffalo would likely open the door to NHL trades, with Eastern Conference teams struggling to respond. However, there is nothing pending at this time.

Thomas has 12 goals and 35 points in 43 games this season as the Blues look to sell before the NHL trade deadline. The St. Louis center is likely to be traded in the next few days, and the Sabers are heavily in the mix. If Buffalo can get this deal across the finish line, it could be the catalyst to end the 14-year-old playoff draft.

Erik Spoelstra issues tough message on ‘working hard’

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo recently expressed his frustration with always being in the play-in tournament. It seemed like a warning to his teammates, and possibly, also a well-intentioned appeal to coach Erik Spoelstra.

Although only time will tell if Adebayo’s message works, the Heat recorded an impressive 115-105 win against the Houston Rockets on Saturday. Spoelstra made the right decision to employ a zone defense, making life difficult for the Rockets.

The Heat are 5-5 in their last assignment, improving to 32-29.

In a report by Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Spoelstra admitted he has a love-hate relationship with zone defense. However, he stressed that at the end of the day, it’s all about effort, as cliché as it sounds.

“No matter what the plan is, I always go back to it. It’s about being committed to doing the hard work,” said the three-time champion coach.

“We were really driving down the field, taking away airfields, and struggling to challenge shots at the rim. In a lot of these losses over the last three months, we’re just giving up shots at the rim and threes.”

The 55-year-old Spoelstra is considered one of the most brilliant strategists in the NBA, and he knows his willingness to do less glamorous things on the field will set him apart from the competition.

The Heat held the Rockets to only 43% shooting from the field, including 9 of 36 from three-point territory. He also hit the Rockets inside, scoring 66 points in the paint.

Miami has been in the play-in tournament for the past three seasons, including advancing to the NBA Finals in 2023.

“Working on my mentality” – Newcastle United player locked in for the rest of the season

joelinton
Leverkusen, Germany – December 10, 2025: Joelinton, Ibrahim Maza – UEFA Champions League, Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs Newcastle United Match at BayArena.

Newcastle United moved one step closer to the Champions League knockout rounds this week, and Joelinton made sure his return did not go unnoticed.

The Brazilian midfielder scored in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Qarabag in the play-off, a result that sealed Newcastle’s place in the last 16. This was a timely contribution. Joelinton missed six matches due to an adductor injury and recently returned to action.

Talking to Brazilian outlets globo esporteHe explained how important the goal felt after being sidelined for weeks.

“This is a very important goal for me, a goal that gives me even more confidence in my return after injury,” He said. “I was out for a while and that’s bad for any player, so it was a complicated moment. I had to work on my mentality and focus on getting back to the best level.”

How confidence is returning at a crucial juncture

Joelinton’s statistics this season underline his importance to Eddie Howe’s team. He has made 32 appearances in all competitions and scored six goals – two in the Premier League, two in the League Cup and two in the Champions League.

However, a recent injury disrupted his form at a crucial point in the campaign. Newcastle United are fighting on multiple fronts, and his physical presence in midfield is central to their balance.

Therefore the timing of his return matters. Newcastle are now waiting to know whether they will face Chelsea or Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League. The draw will take place on Friday.

Joelinton’s last Brazil call-up came in October 2025, when Carlo Ancelotti selected him for friendlies against South Korea and Japan. Since then, he has not featured for the national team.

He admitted that he was aware that the chances were diminishing ahead of the World Cup.

“I know we are in the final stages of call-ups for the World Cup and I have a dream to be there, to wear the Brazil shirt and represent my country. So I know everything I do at the club can reflect that. To maintain a high level of performance, I focus on giving my best every day in training and in matches.” He concluded.

That new focus is good news for Newcastle United. Fully fit and motivated, Joelinton raises the level of the team, and of course he wants to deliver. If he can maintain this form throughout the tournament, it will not only boost his European ambitions but also strengthen his case for a return to the Brazil team.

‘Repetition’ trend Heat’s Nikola Jovic is working to eradicate

MIAMI – The Miami Heat are getting a huge boost from Tyler Herro returning to practice after missing the last 15 games, another player on the team chasing consistency is Nikola Jovic. While Jovic’s fourth Heat season has been an extended slump, the 22-year-old spoke honestly about his year and what he wants to address.

With 26 games left in the season, Jovive looks to help Miami win games somehow, although his minutes have been up and down, averaging 17.9 minutes, his lowest since his rookie season. It’s no doubt been a tough season for Jovic, getting used to the team’s new fast-paced style of offense, as he averaged 7.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 37 percent from the field and 27.2 percent from deep.

The “repeat” area the Heat’s Nikola Jovic is trying to get rid of

Jovic spoke to ClutchPoints in a one-on-one interview after Thursday’s practice, and emphasized how this season has been a “repetitive” trend with his inconsistent outings and interactions with head coach Erik Spoelstra.

When it comes to his performance, he describes how he would play well in some games, then lag, lose playing time and then find himself taken out of the rotation. In trying to shake off that tendency, Jovic is confident that it is not a mental issue that is hindering him.

“Spo [Spoelstra] He called me to his office several times. And it’s usually the same thing, he’s always asking me, how can he help me?… But at this point, it’s usually the same thing; I’ll play well a few games, and my minutes will go down, and then I’ll be out of the rotation. I’ll be back, looking good again. And it’s getting repetitive to such an extent that when I sit down with Spo, it feels like we’re trying to figure out what to do.

“But it’s not easy, but like I said, it’s not a confidence thing. I really believe in myself. I know how good I am. It’s just a weird season, the way we play, the way the team works. You know, it’s just weird. But Spo is really trying to help me, and I’m really trying to help the team. It’s just at this point, it’s really repetitive, where it’s kind of the same. Things are happening…so, yes, we’re still trying to figure things out.”

Heat’s Nikola Jovic is on much-needed All-Star break

As the Heat are trying to turn their season around, Jovic is looking to do the same individually, as he has shown flashes throughout his young career that he can help the team in a myriad of ways. The team feels the same way, as the 2022 first-round pick was rewarded with a four-year, $62.4 million contract extension in October.

Having the ability to be a point-forward, providing Miami with positional versatility, he may want to come back to provide significant minutes off the bench or when he is in the starting lineup. There’s no doubt that the reset was needed for Jovic as the All-Star break comes at the perfect time, he told ClutchPoints it helped his body rest physically, but also took his mind off basketball for a while.

“Coming off a tough EuroBasket that I had, I came right here, and I was trying to look as good as possible. So I didn’t really stop working out. So this break really helped my little injuries, kind of, heal,” Jovic said. “Mentally, it was good. I was with some of my friends. Mentally it was a good thing for me, I wasn’t thinking too much about basketball, but at the same time, trying to figure out what I want to do and how to make sure I look my best when I come back.”

Jovic will talk about the importance of taking good care of the mental side and how important it is for any basketball player, but will also discuss how it hasn’t been a hindrance this season.

“I’m happy every morning, I’m happy every time I go to sleep. And I think that’s something that’s really important,” Jovic said. “Basketball is something I know I’m good at. And even though some people may think I’m not doing well this year…I also feel like I’m probably not the best version of myself…but I don’t think it has anything to do with the mental side of things.”

Heat’s Nikola Jovic is on if offense is hurting his season

There may be a lot of talk about why Jovic has struggled to find a consistent role this season, with one possible reason being the new offensive identity the Heat are implementing. Although the team has regressed to the middle after getting off to an electric 14-7 start, Miami is still averaging 119.6 points per game (fifth in the NBA) and leads the league with 104.87 possessions per 48 minutes.

As for Jovic, he’ll say his down season “probably” has to do with the new offense, but more that it’s not a byproduct of the system.

“I mean, it’s probably, you never really know,” Jovic said. “The weird thing is we talk about how much better we look, but the reality is our record is the same as last year, you know. And people thought we looked really bad last year. So there’s both sides. Maybe it’s because of the offense, maybe it’s because I’m just not doing good enough. Me personally. I don’t think it has anything to do with the offense, the way I play, the way my minutes work…”

Jovic added, “I started at the beginning of the year, after the first game, I was eight, nine, games off the bench.” “So I got waived then, and then after five games I was out of the rotation. So it was a weird season, you know. And even now, I don’t know when I’ll go in, whether I’ll play 5, 12, or 17 minutes…So right now, I’m just trying to help this team win.”

Heat’s Nikola Jovic talks about his goals for the rest of the season

If one thing is certain, it’s that the Heat want to move away from the eighth-seed purgatory and make another trip to the play-in tournament that they have been languishing in for the past three seasons. Jovic echoes the same sentiment, saying that his goal for the remainder of the season is to help Miami win more games, hopefully improving as a result.

When Jovic was asked what his mindset was going into the remaining 26 games, he said, “Help this team win as many games as possible.” “You know, it’s been the same thing since I’ve been here, you know, basically, if I played or I didn’t play, well, it seems like we’re always finishing in the play-in, you know. And it feels weird. So we’re trying to get in the top six, where we don’t have to be in the play-in.”

“And from there, I’m trying to figure things out. I’m really just trying to help this team win and then get to the playoffs and then figure out how to win the playoffs. So, I don’t personally look at my stats, or how I look personally, as long as we win, I know I’ve done my job,” Jovic continued.

As Jovic pointed out, Miami is in a familiar spot, where the team has a 29-27 record and is in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, but a hopeful turnaround will begin on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.
