Manchester City Defender Ruben Dias is a target for Inter Milan, as a potential replacement for Yan Bisek.
gazzetta dello sport report Dias is ‘no longer safe’ at the Etihad as Enzo Maresca plans changes to the team he will inherit from Pep Guardiola.
Inter Milan eye a real coup
The newspaper reports that Bayern Munich are interested in Bisek but have not made a move yet. However, Inter are ready to change that, and have a replacement in mind.
The Italian champions will hope to sell Bisek for around €40m. Anything below that and they won’t listen to the offer at all. Such a figure would also allow them to target top-tier replacements.
One name in particular would attract Inter ‘more than any other’: Manchester City’s Ruben Dias.
Signing the Portuguese defender would be a ‘real coup’. It would also need to add a few million to the €40m it would get from selling Bisek. But there is a belief that Manchester City will listen to offers as Maresca reshapes his squad.

However, there is precedent for Inter Milan striking a tough deal with City. They signed Manuel Akanji from the Etihad in a ‘highly lucrative’ deal last summer.
It was a loan that was conditional on his buying based on winning Serie A and appearing in more than 50% of his games.
In the end, he cost around €15m including wages. Ruben Dias will cost a lot. He will be worth no less than €50m and earns just over €6m per year. However, it is not impossible for Inter, especially if they get €40 million for Bisek.
For now, the potential deal is in its early stages. But Inter Milan’s interest is a sign of them thinking big. They want to connect youth with experience, and The Manchester City defender would contribute significantly later on.
